Smh now I have heard everything 'osaze woulda scored the chances musa didn't scored against Burkina faso' in tunisia 04 when the host beat us on penalties who missed his? U guessed it osaze super when we were knocked out in semis and quarters of 06 08 10 was he not there why he no score lead naija to AFCON victory
Foreign Affairs › Re: What Do You Think Of Oscar Pistorious' Explanation? by ayusco: 8:48pm On Feb 21, 2013
For me what would throw more light on the issue is the trajectory of the bullets fired if its determined he fired from a standing position then he is guilty case closed but if he fired from a lower horizontal angle then we just have to put it all down to an unfortunate accident
Foreign Affairs › Re: What Do You Think Of Oscar Pistorious' Explanation? by ayusco: 6:44pm On Feb 21, 2013
Hmmm his story though plausible raises some questions for me like people have said already why he didn't check for his girlfriend before embarking on his shooting spree? I mean if I'm in my house alone with my girl and I hear noise in the bathroom I would think first it could be her in there if for argument sake I woke paranoid and thought straight intruder! I would still check for my babe to at least calm my nerves. Again he said it was pitch black not too dark to find his gun yet dark enough he couldn't check for his GF on the same bed. Another point I find a little bit curious is why the bathroom door was locked u are a babe staying overnight alone with your man at his house u get up to use the toilet close the door for privacy but why lock the door what are u trying to avoid him seeing your unclothedness? Whether he killed her delibrately or not he meant serious harm to whoever was in the bathroom without being under serious danger. Coogar I get your points and how plausible it could be but Oscars story still has so many questions than answers
Sports › Re: Osaze Warns Keshi To Watch His Back by ayusco: 6:54pm On Feb 20, 2013
Osaze o why can't he just zip it for once coaches get hired n fired even if God forbid kenya and Tahiti beats nigeria 10-0 and keshi gets sacked he will still be remembered as the legend he is unlike Mr twitter addict who will only be remembered as a spoilt brat. Also please us the 'once u used then u r dumped argument' its just blackmail. Fans are against osaze not because of footballing reasons but his unprofessional conduct. Thank God we all saw how WBA dealt with him when he tried that nonsense if not his sycophants would have been yarning rubbish that keshi NFF Siasia Santa cluas is victimising him

At the moment the positions in the SE that need filling are right winger to bench or back up ahmed musa. Back up for v.moses and another decen striker bringing the number to four attackers. Another creative midfielder Apart from mikel. Decent right-back to take the load off ambrose and good left-back to back up or bench elderson

Foreign Affairs › Re: Oscar Pistorius Charged With Premeditated Murder by ayusco: 12:18pm On Feb 19, 2013
Was really sad when the news broke last week cos it makes no sense that a guy who admirably over came adversity in his life and now has everything going for him would blow (no pun intended) it away by killing his girlfriend. That said the law must take its course as the deceased lady and family are just as entitled to justice. Someone mentioned something about disabled people being overly sensative and aggressive as a person living with a physical challenge I disagree with that notion. We are all human beings prone to different emotions some good some bad. So what I'm saying is that you should deal with a person based on how he/she behaves and not Wether they have a disability

Where in my post did I mention yaya toure caused BArrys own goal? That's y u fail comprehension in school then blame jamb afterwards. I mentioned yaya toure because I was trying to highlight how a top player like him is finding it difficult to readjust to the man city set up even with days rest. Go to work in another company perform work functions different from previous place then on the day of resumption be expected to close a deal your more experienced glamorous competitors are after
Sports › Re: Efe Ambrose: European Clubs Disregard For AFCON by ayusco: 6:46pm On Feb 13, 2013
Guy u yourself go and play a high intense game for 90 minutes at onikan after that enter plane travel to spain and immediately come down and face barca nansense so u pple think playing football is a easy abi? Yaya toure with more days rest messed up against Southampton now u expect ambrose to be ready for juventu smh
Sports › Re: Efe Ambrose: European Clubs Disregard For AFCON by ayusco: 6:32pm On Feb 13, 2013
@tstark u don't expect someone who has been away with his NT for five weeks playing as a right-back to arrive barely one day after the final on the morning of the game against juventus to play as a centre back and perform miracles
Sports › Re: Efe Ambrose: European Clubs Disregard For AFCON by ayusco: 6:23pm On Feb 13, 2013
I totally blame the jerk of a coach. The coach himself knows efe is a kinda guy who wants to play all the time but do you need a phd to know that a player who has been with his national team four like five weeks(meaning style of play would be different) playing as a right-back, playing five solid games against tough opponents, played on sunday at high altitude, travelled 10 hours from joborg to Glasgow, arrived tuesday morning then expect him to be both physically and mentally fit to face seria a champs juventus who knocked out holders chelsea? Smh the coached should be fined

I agree completely with joehunt yobo is not to be played all this talk of his experience yet all the games he plays he is the first to make childish errors. I think ambrose and omeruo should switch roles cos I don't think efe can cope with the pace and trickery of gervinho. Not too knowledgeable about formations/tactics but any expert know what formation can be employed to counter the ivorians wing play

Yes u r rite its a travesty to compare a striker who couldn't score in 6 AFCONs to a midfielder who scored goals aplenty
Sports › Re: Sagamite's Top 30 Greatest African Footballers Of All Time by ayusco: 9:06pm On Jan 28, 2013
dayokanu: Was Mike Eneramo the captain of the side and most important player too? Did Odegbami play at a time Africa had 5 slots for the world cup too?
am happy u brought up the world cup quota issue was it not the exceptional performance of the nigerian team (which jj was part of) in usa 94 that raised it frm 3 places to 5? In france 98 we beat Spain and Bulgaria before losing to Paraguay and Denmark no prizes for guessing the name of our olympic 'legend' who the line in the games we lost
Sports › Re: Sagamite's Top 30 Greatest African Footballers Of All Time by ayusco: 7:23pm On Jan 28, 2013
grin grin so mike eneramo is better than segun odegbami cos he helped qualify nigeria for a world cup going by your logic?

Lol dk this your beef for jay jay sha denilson lamptey never did much for their national teams. Like sagamite said jay jay showed glimpses of wat he was capable of but was just not consistent over a longer period

@J12 plus yekini was top scorer in two consecutive AFCONS outright
Sports › Re: Sagamite's Top 30 Greatest African Footballers Of All Time by ayusco: 1:53pm On Jan 27, 2013
@sagamite great list but I would like to disagree with you on a couple of points

1. essien as good as a player he is (was?) he would not be in my top ten. Apart from the fact that he didn't win any individual awards of note he didn't inspire his country to win anything. Even at club level he was always part of teams who had exceptional players who he outshone once in a while but never consistently and mind you he is playing in an era where there are no restrictions on number of foreigners in a team. Yes he was voted five years consecutively in the WPOTY list but these lists are subjective. Yaya toure has these past three seasons been a dominant force in the premeirship yet essien for all his years at Chelsea never had a season equal to him yet he's rated above yaya

2 ahmed hassan and abou trieka should be in the top ten winning 4 afcons (three back to back ) is not beans. If Pele a local champion in Brazil can be considered one of the worlds greatest ever footballers for winning two WC then the aforementioned pair deserve recognition
Sports › Re: Is Keshi A Capable International Manager? by ayusco: 1:59pm On Jan 26, 2013
Yes I agree keshi is not technically sound infact if you check my previous posts I was never in support of his appointment that said we can not do anything about it other than back the team. But sha his tactical acumen is nothing to write home about hoping for the best *fingers crossed*
Sports › Re: Player Rating - Nigeria Vs Zambia by ayusco: 8:38am On Jan 26, 2013
@jarus spot on with the rating my take on the team after two games first of mikel has come to the party. I always reckoned that if nigeria was/is to do well mikel will have to fire and so far he has setting up r two goals so far one of the tournaments best midfield plays yes he missed a penalty but hey who doesn't? Emenike too has pleasantly suprised me one the best attacking plays from a nigerian striker since the days of yekini aghahowa
Health › Re: The Challenges Of Being A Nigerian Nurse by ayusco: 10:51am On Jan 24, 2013
Hmmm interesting topic first off the bat what being a nurse or doctor boils down to is ultimately the welfare of the patient. Now I have huge respect for both noble professions but like everything in nigeria today generally standards have fallen and you can't expect nurses or doctors to be exempt. That said from the patients point of view a lot of nigerian nurses(mind you some are angels salt of the earth) behaviour leave a lot to be desired. Rude to patients insultive rebuking patients for vomiting howling in pain general lack of empathy(and iv not even mentioned imcompetence) true the work environment is not the best likewise the pay but that is no excuse to take it out on the patients. Who knows if your smile or pleasant disposition could help that sick person heal faster or sooth his pain. This is where your average nigerian doctor tries abit watever stress related issue the doctor is facing(work family personal etc) he/she recognises that the patient deserves upmost care and should not be subjected to abuse from them. All that said nurses deserve respect from all(doctors patients included) plus commiserate pay that matches their work
Sports › Re: Player Rating: Nigeria Vs Burkina Faso by ayusco: 7:53pm On Jan 22, 2013
My player ratings

Enyeama 6. Wasn't troubled much throughout the match decent shift could do nothing about the goal

Yobo 3. Absolute horrendous performance last night made silly errors here and there. He failed miserable in. His role as a captain.

Oboabona 6. If not for his last minute error that led to the goal I would have given him a higher rating. Our best defender on the night good positional play intercepted danger balls strong in the tackle

Elderson 4.5. Just THERE barely above average wasn't a rock when defending didn't contribute much up-front either

Ambrose 4.5. Never looked comfortable at the RB position pitriopa's pace n trickery disturbed him till he got sent off

Ogude 3.5. Rough uncompossed lacked passing finesse looked a shade over-weight lucky not to be sent off

Igiebor 5. Tried his best but hard a poor game can do better way ward shooting

Mikel 7.5. Provided the long ball that led to the goal. Kept the midfield ticking tended to delay release of ball though overall excellent midfield performance

Musa 5.worked hard but no end product shoddy passing. Was one of a trio of players who were naïve not to run the clock down in the final seconds of the match

Ideye 6. Exquisite flick for emenike's goal full of running handful for the burkinabe defence to be fair didn't get enough supply

Emenike 7. Showed strength and determination for his goal. Decent hold up play

Subs:

Omeruo 6. Showed composure in defence decent going forward. If only he had started from the beginning

Ike Uche 5. Like someone else said skill positional play A1 goal scoring F9. Also responsible for the last minute goal debacle.

Onazi 4.5. Was on for not too long to be judged comprehensively but brought composure and calmness to the middle. Should have taken the ball to the corner flag to run down the time
