Sports › Re: NFF To Set Up A Scouting Unit For Foreign Born Players by ayusco: 10:46am On Oct 01, 2013
Bro sorry but i'll have to disagree with you as IMHO I think the proposal has its merits cos let's face it though we have raw talent at home we are yet to harness a system to properly polish these raw diamonds at home. Some of thesse boys born abroad are raised in structured soccer academies were tactical disciple is ingrain into them plus cos we know their true ages we can realistically expect them to grow and improve. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying we should bring in all manner of kids but target the ones in Europe especially talented kids like the chuba akpoms, anekes of this world .your view is ideal in the long run but in the short run if we want to do well or even think of winning future World cup and AFCONs we need more world class which I think some of these foreign kids can provide. The victor Moses and David alaba example though contrasting should suffice to back my argument[qp uote author=collynzo2]This is an absloutely useless idea, why not invest your time and effort in developing the millions of aspiring young footballers here in Nigeria. They get to improve our national team and also better their lives and that of the their family.[/quote]

Sports › Re: Obaobona Slams Wenger Over Invitation For Trial by ayusco: 2:17pm On Jul 27, 2013
@kgdavid decent points u raised but the fact of the matter is that oboabona is a full international playing for a recognised footballing nation and as such deserves respect

As per him keeping clean sheets to be fair to him he wasn't always at fault for the goals nigeria conceded the tahiti one you mentioned was enyeamas fault. No doubt oboabona needs to improve his game greatly b4 he can play for a top club like arsenal but he is definitely beter than some clowns arsenal bought in the past.
Plus if marsielle could buy Taiye Taiwo direct from lobi stars in the same npl then y not oboabona
Sports › Re: Sunday Oliseh Replies Stephen Keshi! - by ayusco: 8:01am On Jul 12, 2013
The thing with yobo is that his form in the SE has not been he has experience yet he's always the first to make that costly error. With osaze yes he has some talent n experience but hasn't been playing regular for almost six months plus is he willing to humble himself n get into the team dynamic like mikel has? From his past behaviour n outbursts I seriously doubt it. As for martins he looks a spent force to me at best a fading star. If he couldn't penetrate the defences of 'mighty' Kenya n Venezuela I wonder what he would have done against Uruguay Spain. If people even mentioned yakubu it would make more logical sense as he is one of the SE top scorers plus he had a great season in the EPL b4 his move to china
Sports › Re: Sunday Oliseh Replies Stephen Keshi! - by ayusco: 6:21pm On Jul 10, 2013
@colly02 & joehunt una get time dey argue with people who just Don't want to reason. One even said our football is dead after winning afcon?!!! Smh if our football is dead then I wonder what ivory coast, ghana, England who havnt won a spoon in years will say kai some nigerians n this their low self esteem
Sports › Re: Sunday Oliseh Replies Stephen Keshi! - by ayusco: 9:02pm On Jul 09, 2013
Hmmm I have gone through both keshi n oliseh post being proud men full of ego so its no suprise they would clash that said I'm mostly with keshi on this.
Oliseh said during the 90s the league was on fire which is not true as the pitches, administration, level of play etc was just as poor if not worse than the current situation.
He also said keshi has not had a steady first xi since the AFCON again not true barring two or three players missing due to injury this has been the same set of players who played through the afcon, WC Qualifiers to the confed cup. And pray tell who r d major players that keshi did not take that would have improved our performance in Brazil? Is it calamity yobo or osaze n his twitter rants?
Then he said clubs not NT make players abeg who was onazi b4 the afcon dude wasn't even a first team player now he's an absolute beast of a player. Mikel that was lethargic at best now bossing midfield against world class opponents n more like that.
Plus the way all of them r shouting home based home based you wouldn't know he also called unknown players from abroad omeruo, ogu, onazi, dike etc
Lastly all this hue n cry about our confed performance is over the top cmon this is the confed we are talking about a glorified friendly tournament. I rather we make our mistakes learn from it then come smoking hot for the 2014 WC Cameroon got to the final of the confed cup some years back does anyone remember? Exactly my point Brazil tht has won the last three confeds failed at the last two WC which cup do u think Brazilian fans would have preferred? Keshi has his failings but he hhas never fielded a player just to massage his ego any player he picks he believes can do a job for the team this approach won us the afcon after years of drought with the same players some people r clamouring to come back. By the way no be oliseh lose ball wey 10 man Italy use score against us in usa 94? Its very easy to criticise to look good
TV/Movies › Re: Why SKYFALL Sucked!! by ayusco: 10:17pm On Jul 06, 2013
Watched skyfall on dstv recently n I must confess I found it boring considering all the hype. Bademm is a great actor but the villain he potrayed was forgettable at best. The end vex mme gan one the bad guy n a horde of hardened terrorists somehow trace M n bond to Scotland yet M being head of mi6 controlling agents all over the world can't scramble agents to come help in nearby bloody Scotland haba even roger Moore's bond as unrealistic as he was always had back up when situation demanded. Two said terrorists armed to the teeth with machine guns plus a helicopter gunship are somehow taken out by bond n two old people hiding in a run down castle. If derelict castle had a stash of weapons plus anti-aircraft missiles it might have made abit more sense
Sports › Re: Mikel, African Footballer Of The Year, 2013?? by ayusco: 3:08pm On Jun 29, 2013
If u had asked me this question this time last year I would hav said tufaikwa n Called it the height of football blasphemy but mikels transformation under keshi has been nothing short of phenomenal. He might just nick the award this time but he needs to up his game with his club side as he has been mostly above average at best with chelsea. I think his role at chelsea has seriously hampered his development to a world class player with hindsight man u might hav been a better club for him as their style suits him well. To be honest I was mikels greatest critic before this year but his performances at the AFCON n confed cup hav convinced me that we might just hav a world class player when played in his natural position

Like tpia said if the courts should decide y r u here raising dust? About the hijab being of no harm yes u can say that but an atheist(as much as I Don't agree with their views) can argue that a PUBLIC school is not a religious institution n feels discriminated against if he/she sees religious symbolls all over the place especially in a non religious setting
Politics › Re: Hijab Ban: Mrs Oladunjoye Lied To The World! -mssn by ayusco: 10:07pm On May 16, 2013
Like some pple hav said its about precedence. For instance if someone comes to school with a snake or scorpion as a religious symbol based on siddiq's argument it has to be allowed cos all religious rights have to be respected. So even if someone wears a necklace made of pork to school and sits beside a hijab wearing muslim Don't complain if he or she says its his/her belief to wear pork.
Sports › Top 10 Super Eagles Of All Time (revised List) by ayusco(op): 9:08pm On May 07, 2013
1. Yekini top player great striker

2. Okocha no matter what dayokanu says jj is one of the most talented players nigeria ever produced. Damn near unplayable at his peak

3. Odegbami great player didn't see much of him live but from highlights I have seen and stories heard he was one awesome player

4. Kanu great player great human being. Aside his humanitarian works his contributions to the NT are unquestionable. Inspired nigeria to her first football olympic gold plus won every available trophy in club football.

5. Finidi fantastic winger one of the best in his prime

6. Oliseh great DM led by example inspirational captain

7. Keshi great libero inspirational captain as well. One of the first nigerian players to play for top teams in Europe. Plus coaching us to our third afcon win

8. Christian chukwu great defender and captain. Like odegbami didn't watch him live but heard he was very good

9. Vincent enyeama great goal keeper arguably our only world class player at the moment. For me he has been more consistent than rufai over a longer period of time

10. Mikel obi yes his selection might be controversial but hey the facts speak for themselves. He has won every available trophy in English club football plus he inspired nigeria to her first afcon win in 19 years.

Honourable mentions: muda lawal, amokachi, uche uchechukwu, taribo, ben iroha, tijani babangida, adepoju, aghahowa, v.moses(with time think he will get into top ten), rufai
Sports › Re: Eto'o, Obi Visits Injured Emenike (NFF Missing) by ayusco: 7:21pm On May 07, 2013
Well to be fair nff can't be everywhere at once plus the players who visited emenike are based in those countries he was in. That said it doesn't mean nff/keshi shouldn't check on him
Christianity Etc › Re: UK Priest Allows Muslims To Pray In His Church, Hit By Abuse On Facebook by ayusco: 6:25pm On Apr 25, 2013
safarigirl: I would rather be an atheist or a pagan than to be a Christian if this bitterness is what Christianity is all about.

Isn't it Jesus that encouraged all Christians to accept their fellow human beings and bring those they found to be 'sinners' closer?

Christ would be so ashamed if he read all that Christians are saying now, it is a far cry from what he taught.

Dear Father, please allow Muslims, Bhuddists and even Ifa worshippers into the house of God, for Christianity aims to be the light in the darkness and by your selfless acts, you have once again proved that our God is the God of all irrespective of race/religious affiliations.

One or more of these muslims may even get converted along the line
@safarigirl this is not about showing love to a fellow man or what not its about keeeping the house of God sacred. Islam does not recognise the divinity of Christ so is it not illogical or awkward at best to worship in a place dedicated to praying and worshiping someone u Don't believe in? Plus as much as are lord n savior preached love he didn't tolerate the house of God being desecrated when he chased the merchants out of the temple. The preist could easily have taking them to his apartment instead of the church. Again I think as catholic priest his aim should be to lead them to Christ.

mithel: lol , you hate this man o grin grin let naija man chop small russian money jor, i sure say e dey sweet FBS belle too as e dey sweet my own grin grin

now more seriously , we did really f up in both transfer windows, i doubt tiote or vidal would be bullied that much today , ahan it was depressing watching yaya bulldoze his way through everytime,,i doubt essien would have allowed that , we need two tanks in that place, and whats the essence of buying one DM ,buy two , let lampard score his 2 goals and load him off, he has tried and we appreciate him.

am sure i would have taken keeping drogba and offloading lampard last season , any day anytime
Er pls watch man city vs r.Madrid frm earlier this season in the UCL at the bernebau y.toure absolutely murdered essien I remember watching one counter toure launched and the way he ran past essien was like eishh!

Guy u so funny remind me again what ur groomed STARlets have achieved in senior footy in the last 30 yrs? Pls Don't mention 2010 WC quarters as achievement cos senegal n cameroun both did something similar beating better teams at that. Then u asked what happened to stanley okoro n co? Well omeruo n onnazi who both played u17 have become African champs pray tell what has happened to your bunch of agbayas who won the u20 WC?
TV/Movies › Re: My Oga At The Top. This Is Not Professional Jornalism By Channels Tv by ayusco: 11:38am On Mar 29, 2013
I'm reading some responses and I'm like what?! First of all the media is the public's watch dog they on behalf of all of us question monitor govt activities and civil defence corps happens to be part of govt. Now the background to 'the oga at the top' was that people had been scammed on fake civil defence corps recruitment websites and they wanted the civil defence man to clarify what they are doing to address the matter and also what is their true website to avoid other people getting duped. But his famous answer further blurred the issue and God only knows how many people have also been swindled cos of his dodgy response. Nobody made a fool of the man he succeeded in doing that all by himself. Those of u criticisin Channels are u now saying public officials should not be held accountable to answer questions based on interest of society? Smh

Sports › Re: Player Rating: Nigeria Vs Kenya by ayusco: 8:35pm On Mar 23, 2013
Yep not the best of games but hey we got a point plus. Still top of the group. My ratings

Enyeama-5 could do nothing with a world class free-kick other than that he was untroubled

Kwanbe-4.5 above average performance for me didn't do enough to overlap and aid the attack

Omeruo-7.5 trojan in defence full of energy going forward

Elderson-5.5 descent nothing spectacular

Oboabona-5 complemented omeruo should try more stamping his authority

Mba-4 not his day tried reinacting some of his daring moves (ala AFCON) didn't come off

Onazi-5.5 enigma today sometimes great atimes eisshh!

Mikel-6 below par going by his AFCON standards but kept midfield ticking

Martins-5 slightly off the pace but tried his best

Moses-4.5 love my guy but he can do much better. Poor decision making missed some chances

Ideye-5 full of running needs to improve on positional play and develop killer instinct in front of goal

Subs

Musa-3.5 terrible wing play. Needs to up his game seriously too much of a one trick pony

Oduamadi-6.5 showed nice touches capped off with a face saving goal

Ogu- no ranking came on too late in the game to be judged
