Zinggi: Trust me, you can learn and write French in few months if you put your mind to it. My cousin did same to earn more points and he is Canada now.
Try Alliance Francaise. When I called, they said they have a class starting on the 17th of september. Weekday Classes : Mon - Fri : 9am -1:40pm...Sat classes start by 9:30am They actually have 6levels and it takes 6 weeks to complete a level. Level 1 costs = 50k Level 2 costs = 50k Level 3 costs = 56k etc. The good thing is you don't have to do all the levels..you can do 2 levels or 3 then write TEF since you need to make CLB4 to get the golden points you desire (I am assuming IELTS is your first language exam). You could also get a private tutor from them but you would be paying 5k per hour. If you decide to use Alliance Francaise, ensure you visit them with your ATM card to make payments via POS and 3 passport photographs.
You could also try Lextorah at Yaba. Tuition is 68k They offer TEF exam preparation courses...according to them you will be given certain practice examinations at least 3times before you write TEF
Search google for Lepointdufle - for practice questions Download Duolingo and Hellotalk and practice with them.
If you do this, you will be fine. Well done sister. You are the real mvp

Natalie27: Exactly ... every week I know a least one person resigning and their jobs been taking over by ETS with less than a years experience. It’s sad It's really happening. In my bank, over 50 contract staffs with some years experience in the bank were converted to full staffs. I don't know if it's because of the mass Exodus of the experienced hands, but I don't see a bright future for Nigeria. All the immigration programmes are taking away our best hands. The future is bleak for Nigeria. May God save us all |

Estac: Yes o! Very doable. My result was L 8.5, R 9, S 8 W7.5. first and only attempt. I had just 2 weeks to prepare for the exam and I prepped with ieltsliz only.
I think my years of monotonous drafting/reviewing hundreds of pages of documents/agreements daily finally counted for something other than my salary.
I am tempted to agree that it's like Nigerian ielts examiners deliberately mark Writing down (i.e 6.5) as many people on this forum also feel. Perhaps so that they can make more money from people re-writing.
In my ielts application, I indicated that I was writing for Australian immigration purposes. I needed all-round 8 to max out language score under Australian system. Alas! I got 7.5. Missing that elusive 0.5.
I was disheartened when I saw my ielts result, until someone encouraged me to explore Canada.
Moral of this epistle, over-achievable de worry am sef! Wow wow wow (ambulance style) . You just gave the perfect reply brother. Truly your years of experience counted for you in the writing. I also think that they are just making Nigerians down so they can remark. But now I know it's doable. Thank you for your detailed response |
