Armadillos and Pangolins |
Oh my Peter Rufai! He was a very capable goalkeeper in his active days till '94 in the service of Nigerian football. As youngsters in the late 80s and early 90s, we were always happy when his name appear on the list of players. Death is just what makes us all equal, rest in peace to our football legend |
For all its worth, the people administering the present government have to be kicked out. However, Unfortunately, those who will do it, are not gonna do it for the purpose of turning anything around or for transformational reasons, they are just same band of thieves who fell out due to unfavorable share of the booty. For any critical thinker of Nigerian historical/political path, it is a bitter truth that, there never was a time when the entity called Nigeria has witnessed any glorious era or when lives of the people have known the real worth in benefits due to them, judging from the huge blessings God gave the country. Something must be terribly wrong with the foundation of that amalgamation. |
Two of his books i read 1. Weep not child 2. Mercedes Funeral. Rest in eternal bliss to one of the great Africans who taught us on how to read and study. |
I had same experience two times when i was in SSS 3, it was when I was writing the WAEC mock exams for oral English and it also happened when i heard the invigilatorannounce '10 minutes more' , and i haven't done much. I believe the pressure and tension of not being able to answer the questions made me to move my legs involuntarily which then unintentionally rubbed the genitals could have caused it, it is still an experience i cannot explain properly the cause of, however it became an eye opener for me that i could produce spermatozoa then, as i was just 16 years old. |
To the numbers of Yoruba people supporting this government, would you have supported, if the head of the government is not a Yoruba person? We usually seem to be the loudest on any government we perceive not to be competent or acting arbitrarily. So what's really the issue now......is it just for the mere fact that 'he is our son' and the 'emilokan' concept. Lets call a spade a spade! |
A prostitute is a dangerous trap; a promiscuous woman is as dangerous as falling into a narrow well. She hides and waits like a robber, eager to make more men unfaithful. Proverbs 23: 27-28 |
Smellos Very 'RAZZ' These types are the ones who give people the audacity to paint us with a single brush. Trash like this makes me wanna puke. Good upbringing goes a long way to determine the pedigree of who you are. |

When the devil knows that drunkenness or adultery are not part of your vices, he uses other things you are weak at to tempt you. Unless you are angel, no one is beyond the antics of men. |
Another brother down, i always preach to folks that it's better you ride easy and live another day to ride, than to succumb to that adrenaline rush daredevilry and risk not making it home to your loved ones. We live to ride and ride to live, the rubber side should always be kept down and metal side up. Rest your soul........Helmets Up!

The earlier we Non Muslim Yoruba understand that Yoruba unity is a farce, the better. One needs to realise that the Yoruba country has already been divided at least along two major lines of sentiments or factors........Islam and Non Islam. If you know how deep the division looks like ? Hmmmm, an average Yoruba Muslim is ready show support to a northern Muslim to the detriment of a non Yoruba Muslim any day and any time, being Yoruba does not count anything for them, that line of Yoruba cultural bond means nothing to them, they'll side with Fulani, Hausa or any other who is a Muslim against you without a blink, the religion comes first. I have experienced this at workplace, i am giving you a firsthand experience. I am saying it with utmost concern that the supposed Yoruba nation is not as unified as we think, religion has destroyed that fabric that our ancestors and culture have sown to guide the creed that ought to bind us. I am very sure 90% of the Yoruba who are Muslims are against this professor's write up, as they consider the sultan as their head, and are ready to do anything he says, they don't consider any Yoruba pride, it means nothing to them. I can tell you that a non Muslim Yoruba be it Christian, traditionalist, atheists or whatever has more in common with people from the southeast, southsouth or middlebelt than a Yoruba who is a Muslim, even more in common with Muslims of other regions than Muslims who are of his kith and kin. |
I noticed that most people criticizing her statements are people of her background i.e the South west, would they have still criticized her statements, if the person at the head of the affair of Nigeria is not Yoruba? It is such a putrid smell of Hypocrisy coming out from the mouth ofnour people these days. All because Tinubu is in charge, we tend to have become sudden patriots, we were the group of loudest critics on other previous non performing government. However Tinubu is here now and it is vividly seen that his era is the most terrible and useless on economic situation, we have become patriots, our sudden love for the country just increased overnight, we act as if the state of the country hasn't gone worse and retrogressed by over 500%. Shame on you hypocrites! I am Ekiti and we don't pretend to seat, while we are squatting. |
This is a Hare, a close relative of Rabbits, judging by the color, length of legs and body size, it leans to being a Hare rather than a Rabbit. Thumbs up man |
MadamExcellency:If this is a criminal matter how can it be Dele vs Afe Babalola? Is it not supposed to be an offense against the state? Naija Naija |
Hmmmm, Professor! Oloun mbe. A destined individual. |
Anyone that thinks majority of the Yoruba people are happy or support all these ridiculous trends of things even from pre election, is absolutely wrong. These happenings do not represent the honorable attitude expected of a Yoruba individual, unfortunately the best amongst us usually will face either their jobs or their professional endeavors , while the very few who are toutish are the ones running things on the corridor of political power. It is a big shame! |
Unfortunately, in the Yoruba socio-political environment, the scums of the earth and those who are supposed to be the bottom feeders of the 'food chain' in any organised society are those in power, or walk on the corridor of power or worse still have connections to power. Are we not supposed to have one of the most beautiful history, are we no more the highly educated people, what has gone wrong? Most Unfortunately, we are all stereotyped by the conducts of people like this.....why wont? |
What is he looking for? If Vigilante shoots him, he will just die for nothing, rubbish! Moving up and down in the night like a bush baby. Olodo buruku! |
It used to be this and that was in the late 80s and early 90s.

What the hell is going on? Oh sorry mother Eagle, things have really gone worse. |
I am a proud Yoruba from Ekiti state. However, In all all fairness, why do we make this particular case a peculiar one, social media channels from almost the time it became a popular tool of communication for all have usually been used to propagate hateful feelings and utterances amongst some Yoruba and Igbo in a manner that lacks decorum. Many atimes some Igbos have said despicable things about Yoruba, while some Yorubas have done equally the same. So what's the hypocrisy on this for, playing the victim's game......you reap what you sow! and after some time now, before you know, one Yoruba person will also threaten to drop an atomic weapon on a town in the south east, the stupidity continues....... See my people, if we continue in this manner, we will be far from ever breaking through as a group. The white folks love his fellow white guy deeply, he is ready to place him above others, if it is necessary, same goes for the Hispanics, Chinese, Indian people treat each other like fraternities when they need to collaborate for their greater good, the whole world keeps moving forward progressively and every group keeps positioning themselves for the good of their own people. It is only Africans, especially Nigerians that lack the substance and mindset to forge together and conquer, imagine the resources we all have in human capital especially between these two great nations if combined together to make the world realize that we Africans are a force to reckon with, hmmmmmm, we cannot continue this way, it is just too absurd! There must come a time that truth and right discourse must be heard |

YorubaNiBaba:You better stop! We are not known for this in Yoruba land, our ancestors have always stood on the path of fairness, resisted Obas and leaders that didn't have the pity of masses at heart. We don't play politics with the truth, the country is hard! The politicians in Nigeria, and even other public office holders are highly corrupt, if some of you have the detail information on what they do to our resources, by now, many will be plagued with blood pressure, as it will be so shocking. |
We have out of our African sisters the highly confident and conscious ones, i pray the genetic makeup of those rare ones should keep multiplying, so that we can have more and more brilliant African women carrying our seeds and populating the earth. For those who live in Europe and North America and even Asia, African women are considered undesirable and they are ranked the bottom feeder in the hierarchy of charm and beauty, a white man will go first for his kind, then he considers a Chinese or other Eastern groups, then Hispanics and of course Indians(if she wants, as those ones follow a strict code, when it comes to relationships), it is cery rare to see him consider an African woman unless on rare occasion or the man is an old aged person, same goes for Chinese or Indian man, those one will rather be castrated than have anything to do with her. Do not get me wrong, as an African, an Afrocentric person, a Pan African as it were, i adore my African women, i will choose them over any other women over again, they are the most beautiful, however, they have to be proud of themselves, have confident in their natural beauty standard, they do not have to enhance their beauty with the hair or lashes of another woman, that drops the perception of them to rock bottom, no one will regard them based on that, it is a simple analogy, if as an Indian i see an African woman wearing a long hair which i know must have come from the shaved head of less privileged in my country, common i cannot view you with much regards.....I have been asked by an Indian colleague once, that ' why do African women use hair extension' i knew the question was asked with a scorn. My dear African women...Nigerian women, please learn to appreciate yourselves deeply, beauty comes from within first, then it radiates to the fore, i know you are well educated, civilised and all, but take time to research into your own culture, embrace our old mothers ways, Queen Nzinga, Queen Amina, Funmilayo Kuti, the Aba women freedom fighters, there are models, many to learn from, lets learn to maintain calm and composure in handling issues, respect your men and when you disagree with them, do not seek for their downfall, don't lose yourselves trying to be westernized, thinking they(Westerners)will love you for that, they don't love you, and they do not love us as well, we are all we have got. |
PlasmaTV:CSR ?? As in Corporate Social Responsibility I actually thought that is one Corporate governance principle that is usually adopted by a profit oriented organization, not an NPO, Charitable organization and most especially a religious organization. CSR ? Church on its own is supposed to be a charitable association, that is what they should be. |
E remain American computer.......the guy hailing him as the Don Maximum in the last video they shared. Kudos to the gallant men of NPF, more fire in the AK and HK......espirit de corp. |
Hmmmm.......Ogun ifunra. |
Elibaba1:He never mentioned the name of any region.........if you check what the other guy said ' it is only to shout them sabi' who are the 'them'.......... |
SOSinNigeria:Mr. Holier than thou; AKA Pot calling kettle black, i hope you have read and seen the huge statistics and numerous pictures posted by able responders about how they openly defecate in the South East as well, i believe you have seen it, but you chose to be dumb...right? I hope that one day the average Yoruba hating Igbo man will look into the mirror and he will realise that most of the hateful stereotype remarks he passes about Yoruba is inherently present in their own DNA as well, the difference is that one is hypocritical about these characteristics and he sees himslef as a model of perfection, while the other has been labeled and stuck with various stereotypes, of which, he really care less, because he knows, stereotypes ain't always the truth. |
That normal uncouth, lau lau, tactless Naija way do not work in the Western countries, i advise you folks, get refined and less of this will happen, if not.......na like fish dem go dey catch una. |
