Sayyidina Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) sent a small army and they were a countable number. He got them to recite the Qur’an and each man of them recited whatever he had of the Qur’an (in memory). He came to a man among them, the youngest of them in years and asked him, ‘What do you have of the Qur’an with you, O so-and-so?” He said, “I have this and that and surah al-Baqarah.” He asked him “Oh, do you have surah al-Baqarah?” He said, ‘Yes.’ The Prophet (SAW) said, “Go. You are their amir.” Then a man of the nobles among them remarked, “By Allah, nothing prevented me from learning al-Baqarah but that I was apprehensive that I might not be able to recite it in salah (in tahajjud).” Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “Learn the Qur’an and recite it. The example of the Qur’an for one who learns it, recites it and stands in salah with it is like a bag full of musk, its fragrance spreading in every corner. And the example of one who learns it but goes to sleep while it is in his heart is like a bag of musk tied close (at its mouth).” (Tirmidhi) |
He whose sin is due to desires, then have hope for him. And he whose sin is due to pride, then fear for him - because Prophet Adam (as) disobeyed due to desire and was forgiven(after repenting), and Iblis sinned due to pride and was cursed." - Sufyan ibn Uyainah |
Narrated by Hazrat Ibn 'Umar (RA) The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those which are disclosed to the people. ''if the body gets sick, it won't get benefit from food and drink & so as the heart, when it gets sick because of passion and fancy, it won't get benefit from preachments, The farthest heart from Allah is the hard heart. If the heart gets hard, the eyes get dry (they don't make tears)'' [Ibn Al - Qayeem] |
olawalebab:No offense bro, but this could land us in serious trouble. Never do any good deeds so that people will remember us. Even i didnt know about it until i came accross the following Hadith. Never care what people think about us, only thing that matters is what Allah thinks about us. He looks directly into our hearts. Abu Hurayrah, who said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah say, ‘ Verily, the first to be judged on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who had died as a martyr. He will be brought forward. Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man will acknowledge them. Then He will ask him: `What did you do to express gratitude for it?’ The man will reply: `I fought for Your Cause till I was martyred.’ Allah will say: `You have lied. You fought so that people might call you courageous; and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell. Next a man who had acquired and imparted knowledge and read the Qur’an will be brought forward, Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man will acknowledge them. Then He will ask him: `What did you do to express gratitude for it?’ The man will reply: `I acquired knowledge and taught it, and read the Qur’an for Your sake.’ Allah will say to him: `You have lied. You acquired knowledge so that people might call you a learned (man), and you read the Qur’an so that they might call you a reciter, and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him, and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell. Next a man whom Allah had made affluent and to whom Allah had given plenty of wealth, will be brought forward, Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man will acknowledge them. He will ask him: `What did you do to express gratitude for it?’ The man will reply: `I did not neglect any of the ways You liked wealth to be spend liberally for Your sake’. Allah will say to him: `You have lied. You did it so that people might call you generous, and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell.” [Muslim] May Allah save us from such weakness of our heart. Ameen. |
olawalebab:Dont worry bro even if people doesn't notice, Allah who knows everything will notice the effort. And it is what matters the most and it is the only thing that matters. |
olawalebab:Yes We take a lot of things for granted. We do not appreciate what we already have. I had heard this in a Friday sermon: Once a person was travelling and came accross a man who was covered with a skin disease like leprosy. Also he has no home or shelter. But when he came close to him he heard him saying 'Alhamdullillah' repeatedly. The traveller asked the man why is he thanking Allah even though his is in a very bad situation. He replied that that town was filled with people who sinned and he is thanking Allah since he is still a Muslim. Allah is the most Merciful, Alhamdullillah. |
