It is narrated that, The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Whoever allows the world to become his biggest concern has nothing to do with Allah, and Allah will instill four qualities into his heart:
1)anxiety which will never leave him,
2)business which he will never be free from,
3)poverty which he will never rid himself of,
4)and hope which he will never fulfill."

Du’a, is of the most beneficial cures & it is the enemy of all diseases.
It fights them, and cures them & prevents their occurrence & causes them to be raised up or reduced after its occurrence.
It is the weapon of the believer .

IslamTodays Friday Sermon by azharuddin(op): 3:15pm On Apr 08, 2011
AssalamuAlaikum,

Bismillahir-rehmanir-raheem.

Today's Friday Sermon was based on the following Hadith:

“Take benefit of five before five:
your youth before your old age,
your health before your sickness,
your wealth before your poverty,
your free-time before your preoccupation,
and your life before your death.”

The Imam stressed on the fact that once we loose our youth, physical activity will be tougher. So he urged the youth to do more Ibadah now itself. Also he said one can never be sure if he/she will be alive to see the next day. Don't postpone repentance, Ask for forgivness to Allah as soon as possible.

He Also mentioned two Examples of our pious predecessors on how meticulous they were while Doing good deeds.

1. Abdullah ibn Mubarak (ra) was once fighting in a war for Islam. When it was time for Salat, he went to a river nearby, tied his horse and made wudu. By the time he finished Salat, the horse had wandered to a nearby field and ate the crops. Abdullah ibn Mubarak (ra) was very disheartened as the horse ate the crops without the permission of the fields Owner. He then insisted the owner to keep the horse. And he got another horse and said he cannot strive in the way of Allah on a horse that has consumed what did not belong to it.

2. Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal (ra), (one of the great Imams who has memorised 1 million Hadith) once heard that a man far of in Damascus has got a specific hadith. So he traveled to Damascus to meet the person. When he reach there he saw the man with a donkey and has put more than the donkey can carry. The donkey refused to move forward, so the man tricked the donkey with an empty basket as if it has food in it. The donkey hence moved forward think the basket had food in it. Seeing this Imam Hanbal refused to seek the Hadith from this man and returned back.

Your're walking & you see a LION in front of you, you run to get away from it- until you see a cliff. You see a rope so you climb down it but at the bottom you see a CROCODILE. !

Then you you see BLACK & WHITE MICE nibbling on the rope. You see no escape & feel scared.

Then, DROPS OF HONEY begin to drip into your mouth from a honeycomb above,  Due to the SWEETNESS of the honey, you forget about the danger around you.

This is HOW we live our lives,
THE LION is Malik-Ul -Maut ( angel of death ) who will eventually catch up to us.
THE CROCODILE  is our grave which we forget about, which is where we will end up, our real home.
The BLACK & WHITE MICE are days & nights that pass by everyday.
HONEY is the world. We are so engrossed in the love of this world that we fail to remember that everyday we are closer to death,

Snap out of the sweetness of the this Life Dear Muslims!!

First Attack of shaytan

[a verbal exchange between Shaytaan and Shaqiq Balkhi (Rahmatullah ‘alaih). ]

Shaytaan comes from the front (as he said he would) and he whispers :
“Why are you so concerned about displeasing Allah Ta’ala and why are you so wary of sins ? Why do you exert yourself in so much of Ibaadah?
Enjoy yourself. Allah Ta’ala is Ghafur-your-Raheem. (most Forgiving and most Merciful).”

Shaytaan approaches many in the same manner, whispering : "Why engage yourself in Ibaadat, Zikr, Tilawat, etc ? Why are you so
particular in performing Salaah 5 times a day, in paying Zakaat and in fasting? Why are you so rigid and strict in conforming to
Shariah ? Allah Ta’ala is Ghafur-your-Raheem."

Shaqiq Balkhi (Rahmatullah ‘alaih) said : ‘Yes, indeed Allah Ta’ala is Ghafur-your-Raheem; but for whom?’”
“AND VERILY, I AM INDEED FORGIVING TO HIM WHO REPENTS, BELIEVES (IN MY ONENESS, AND ASSOCIATES NONE IN WORSHIP
WITH ME) AND DOES RIGHTEOUS GOOD DEEDS, AND THEN REMAINS CONSTANT IN DOING THEM (TILL DEATH).”

[SURAH TA-HA 20 : 82]

Allah Ta’ala’s Forgiveness extends to those who make sincere Taubah and Istighfaar, believe in Allah Ta’ala, do Amal-e-Sawleh
(righteous deeds and actions) and remain steadfast.

Allah Ta’ala thus warns us explicitly in the Qur`aan Sharief : “Let not the deceiver (Shaytaan) beguile you in regard to Allah.”
Don’t be misled by Shaytaan to commit sins because Allah Ta’ala is The Most Forgiving and Most Merciful.
Whilst Allah Ta’ala is indeed Ghafur-your-Raheem, He is also Muntaqim
– One who takes Retribution. Out of His kindness,
Allah Ta’ala gives to us numerous opportunities to make amends and return to His Obedience. If we still persist and insist on sin,
and we are bent on disobedience, then His Punishment is something that cannot be escaped.
In fact, the same Shaytaan who, out of absolute spite, invites us to the disobedience of Allah Ta’ala in every cunning and conniving
way, had himself said : “…Verily! I fear Allah for Allah is severe in punishment.”
(Surah Anfaal 8 :48)

I seek refuge in Allah from the cursed shaytan.

The Attack of Shaytan from Four Sides.

When shaytan was ousted by Allah he made a statement:
“Because You have sent me astray, surely I will sit in wait against them (human beings) on Your Straight Path.
Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left, and You will not find most of them as thankful ones (i.e. they will not be dutiful to You).”

(Surah A’raaf 7 : 16/17)

Allah Ta’ala in turn said : “Certainly you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the ‘ghaween’
(Mushrikeen, those who are astray, criminals, polytheists and evil doers, etc.).”

(Surah Al-Hijr 15 : 42)

Allah Ta’ala also says : “Verily, he has no power over those who believe and put their trust only in their Lord (Allah).”
(Surah An-Nahl 16 : 99)

On the Day of Judgement,
Allah will address Jibreel (Angel Gabriel) and say, "O Jibreel, why do I see so and so amongst the people of Hell?"
Jibreel would reply,"O my Lord, we did not find that person to have any good deeds that would benefit him today."
Allah would say, "I heard him saying in the lower world, 'Yaa Hannaan (O Compassionate One), Yaa Mannaan (O Bountiful One),'
Bring him forth and ask him, 'Is there a 'Hannaan' and 'Mannaan' besides Me?'
So I shall take him by the hand from among the people of the Fire and put him into the rows of the people of Paradise."

“Do you know who is poor?”
He was told, “The poor among us, O Messenger of Allah, is he who has no
dirham and no possessions.”
He said, “The poor of my ummah is one who comes on the Day of Resurrection with salah and fasting and zakah, but also comes with abuses (he has hurled) on this one, accusations on that one, devouring of some property, blood of someone, slaying of another. So he sits and loses this piety (to someone) and that piety (to another) so that when  his good deeds are finished before he has paid off what is against him of sins, he carries their sins thrown to him till he is cast into the fire.”
