(1) An electric vehicle doesn't run when stationary, it's not an internal combustion engine that needs to run to stay active.

Electric motors power the wheels and only deliver the power when it's time to rotate them.

(2) A vehicle has to travel at a constant speed of 140km/h without stops or slow downs before it can cover 280km in 2 hrs.
