MizyB: Op, i just don't know anymore, i guess you are changing my mind. I mean its not my fault i just want the Best for this Nation. GMB/GEJ? Sigh** Kanu Nwankwo has been doing somthing similar for over a decade. Countless Nigerians too regularly sponsor less priviledged people for free surgeries in India and other countries. Why must GEJ with access to the National coffers be an exemption?? Crap, for every eye surgery GEJ sponsors, consider the hundreds that died at the Hands of Boko Haram that he ignored to Politik, girls kidnapped that he denied their existence and the millions that stand to loose from the economic downturn looming due to GEJ's corrupt goons robbing the Nation. |

otokx: They sold NEPA to themselves politicians and that is why the improvement if any is quite low tending towards zero. they're only interested in collecting money for Electricity not delivered.....hence the increase in the electricity tarrif despite poor suppy. With all the power stations commissioned, power supply has never been worse. |

aryzgreat: Reason Why am telling u y u have epileptic supply. Hold ur disco company, ur governor, ur Senator, ur house of rep members, ur local govt chairman responsible.
GEJ cannot give u common distribution transformer.
See below, transmission transformer that GEJ is providing across the power stations for power conversion.
This is 150MVA 330/132KV transformer, at this voltage level, ur whole community will be roasted like a burnt offering.
Protest to d distribution company inchoate of ur area, bedc, eedc, ekodc etc Let them give u small transformer so u will have light nyafu nyafu If GEJ had ensured NEPA was sold to credible companies eg General Electric, the story would have been different. |

oshaosha2014: It is not majorly abt buying, it is the employment opportunity this will generate for our teeming youth. If you want to be mobile go get a bicycle. How can the companies ensure sales to keep themselves running and paying employees when people aren't financially well off to afford their vehicles in d right numbers?? If this current dollar slide continues, people will loose their jobs and pay cuts will be rife. Try selling brand new cars to that lot. You strengthen an economy, increase rate of employment and raise average wages before poaching brand new cars to the populace. |

aryzgreat: fortunately I enjoy 24 hours power supply here in ihovbor staff quarters.
Hold ur power distribution company responsible. GEJ has tried in building more power generating stations, expanding the transmission infrastructure.
The discos should upgrade and overhaul their distribution infrastructure since they are now private.
Ask ur Senator to provide ur community with distribution transformer. Stop blaming GEJ. Speak for yourself then. You can be lynched if you go defending GEJ on power supply in a lot of areas. |

There's something about putting up a price. It gets people to react faster.
Putting up an advert for a car without adding price is similar to putting up news headline and asking people to click on a link to read about it. |
Car Talk › Re: Nissan Rolls Out First 'Made-In-Nigeria' Cars (Photos) by ba7man(m): 5:58am On Feb 21, 2015 |
babestella: Agent of retrogression, at the least if they can't afford a brand new Nissan, they can still get a job at the assembly plant. If the Nigerian economy (currently in a bad shape due to wastefulness and corruption by GEJ's administration) doesn't pick up, tell me how people will be able to afford these cars. If these companies don't sell enough cars, the same people they hired will be fired. A bouyant economy is directly tied to the automobile industry. Car makers scambled to China and india when they observed rising figures in car sale (Due to a booming economy). They tried to be proactive with their choice of Nigeria (Set up shop before their projected economic boom) but if GEJ messes up this economic crisis, they'll fold up because I don't see record sales in the midst of economic crisis......+ no power also robs them of making their products cheaper. Eg; The Nissan Patrol manufactured in Nigeria costs N15million.......The USA equivalent, the Nissan Armada has a starting price of $38,000 (approx N9 Million). |
Car Talk › Re: Nissan Rolls Out First 'Made-In-Nigeria' Cars (Photos) by ba7man(m): 10:07pm On Feb 20, 2015 |
100Cents: Yes, even if we cannot afford it, it created jobs for Nigerians.
But its a good move in the right direction. Those cars would have still been imported by dealers without this automative policy shift and it won't create a single job.
You don't know how big the Nigerian market is. If people are not financially empowered, they won't buy. If the car companies don't sell in the right quantities, they pack up and leave. A thriving economy is directly tied to the automobile industry. Nigeria's economy is being run aground for now. |

skymax: Does that Change the fact that the car is produced in Nigeria? My point is......Do you strengthen the economy before encouraging such policies, or you wreck the economy and hope people will still magically be able to afford these cars. People's wages are falling and you want them to buy brand new cars they couldn't afford in the first place. If they don't sell in the right numbers, these same companies will pack up and leave. |
