it is obvious you are confused. When John wrote the Revelation which is a book , was there a book like the book of Matthew in existence? No Sir. There was the Torah but not the Bible. The Bible came into Being several years later when St Augustine in Egypt compiled the New Testament. Do a lil research.

The Catholic Church works against Christ. Jesus says, take the Good News to the Ends of the Earth, the Catholic Church wanted it locked up in Rome.

Do you know that while John was writing the Book of Revelation, he was not aware of the books of Mathew, Luke or Mark . He was only referring to the highly coded message being given through him in the Revelation and not a book not in existence then which human call the Bible. That is the bitter truth.

In our "wake" consciousness, we experience all aspects of earth life in the earth body, But in our "sleep" consciousness we change into a different body to experience life in another dimension.

What if we can or could experience life in heaven during or in our "sleep" consciousness?

Since "Energy is neither created nor destroyed but transformed from one form to another," so also, Consciousness is neither created nor destroyed but transformed from one state of awareness to another.

absolutely ....I had used earth and heaven metaphorically to mean a school ,some curriculum to some educational attainment with having certain basic discipline as prerequisite to attempting some higher courses.

Of course I know we all experience both the waking moments and the astral every day. And we can deliberately go to ' heaven' and be back after a proper guide.

I think, it is a gradual process.
we were not born with our third eyes blind. Just as new born baby don't just open the normal eyes and start seeing and identifying objects but over time is used to the light of day, so also with the third eye, if our parents didn't tell us to stop talking nonsense when we, during toddlerhood, said we have playmates they can't see.

But then as adults the reopening of the third eye won't be like flinging a door open, which may certainly create a mental shock, but Just like a door that's been shut for decades, the hinges would need a little oiling and gentle rocking to ease it open.

As for the the number of senses we have, you are right.
Beethoven even refused to be treated for his ear problems preferring to be deaf so as to concentrate more, according to him, and composed his best classical music during those years, which is in line with the Bible verse that said, "... My strength is made perfect in weakness."

Jesus would not use satan to tell anyone who to be like
He would have better said: be wise like solomom
but He used animal life to make His point: snakes, doves, sheep and wolves

serpents have always been an emblem of wisdom and cunning
just as doves are said to be gentle and harmless, in the wild they are no different to sparrows or pigeons

they are just common sayings
a snake isn't more wise than many animals, but they are wise enough like many animals though, to get out of the way of humans etc.

they ain't just common sayings and the master didn't just use words but truths which may be strange to the public but not to some. Absolutely being wise as ' serpent' has a spiritual meaning which Christ could only have used for the trained which were the disciples.

I for one have my own interpretations that makes sense to me.
For instance, in Genesis, the Serpent is said to be (1) the wisest of beings (2) the deceiver.

I choose to understand that to mean the Serpent was the wisest being and decipherer of mysteries.
As you need wisdom to decipher anything, else why would the Bible, in another place, admonish us to be as wise as the Serpent?

Mainstream Christianity interprets Serpent to mean snake, Satan, deceiver,

Serpent in other ancient cultures symbolizes wisdom, just as it symbolizes medical wisdom in our time.

In the context of this OP, I choose to interpret the "single eye" to mean third eye.

have you forgotten Christ told us to be wise as the serpent...
