I will say this a thousand times, true federalism isn't the panacea to the myriad of problems bedevilling our dear country, bureaucratic corruption is.

If power and resources are devolved to the states and we have what we colloquially call "true federalism", the scourge of corruption which has stymied the growth of our economy for eons would simply relocate her headquarters down to the states! As a matter of fact, even with the status quo, in my own assessment, corruption prevails in the states more than the federal level.

If I were to suggest a way out of the quagmire, I'd say we totally "de-comercialise" our democratic processes and institutions.

Make that lecturer earn more than that Assembly member and Federal legislator.

Make that nurse and doctor earn more than that commissioner and minister.
