You can't see places like Ogba, Agege, iju, abule-egba, Egbeda, Idimu, ejigbo, isheri Ikotun though.

So if you ever get a request without destination, just know its one of these places.

Any driver who likes himself and his car will still call to confirm destination. Mine started showing destination yesterday evening but I noticed it shows more of jurisdiction than exact destination.

E.g: LBS shows Aja, Oke-Ira NLA shows Aja, Milverton Estate shows Lekki, Alpha Beach road shows Lekki, Iddo/Oyingbo shows Lagos Mainland. Olokonla road shows Aja.

I want to share my experience with OLOKONLA road yesterday at 11pm.

I just dropped a rider at LBS when a request came in from that road, I saw destination as Lekki phase 1, time to destination arrival 3minutes.

I proceeded to pickup, prior to yesterday I don’t know where olokonla is or heard of it but since it’s close I see no problem going. I stopped at ENYO the one after lbs to get fuel. When I entered the olokonla road, it wasn’t too bad, I called the lady that I’m already on olokonla road, she I should keep driving down that she’s by the road waiting.

I kept driving then I got to a place where the sand is so plenty , if they pack that to elegushi beach it will turn to a dry land , I slowed down, it doesn’t make sense to continue, I called the lady to ask where exactly she is because I had no plan to keep driving, she just said since I can’t see you keep driving. In my mind I said this one is not serious so I canceled.

I looked ahead if I move an inch, trouble, if I reverse, disaster. How I go comot here? I looked to my right I saw a turning to a close where I can make a u turn, perfect. Changed gear from N to 1 and accelerated first out of the sand, turned now remained to get back on the sandy road. The girls request came in again, I accepted and slide on arrived so I can cancel on the 6th minute, she called and I told her where I am and what I intend to do as I am not driving any further, as I hit the road my car sank in the sand ... I came out of the car to access the situation then this girl called and said is that you with the Honda that sank? I said yes. She said okay I can see you

Spent 15 minutes looking for people to help me push the car out at 1130pm on a deserted road, chai. Fortunately I saw 3 guys that were coming from work and they moved close to me to assist.

E fisi reverse, oya e fisi drive back and forth till the car was freed, in the process my front bumper removed, fog lights broke :', as God will have it one of those guys is a panel beater so he helped me hooked the bumper back but still shaky.

He offered to help me drive it to a more better place since it’s his area, I agreed. The way this guy fired my car out of that place chai my eyes no take am.

The girl came and we left, I was mad but no be she send me work nah.

I kept telling myself throughout the ride: D you cannot continue like this, look at what your car as turned into?

The kind of wickedness is this country is next to none, since morning I have been checking NY fuel gauge, its like the fuel is even burning fast self, filling station r doing dia own, bolt is reducing rating, riders r throwing insults... Wot a day.

I stopped buying fuel at that Forte Oil. ENYO station that runs 24/7 service too has tampered some of their pumps.

I always target NNPC on Osborne road, they sell complete fuel.

She said done and rushed out. I wasn’t expecting alert as Access bank can be dull with that. I logged in to my account few minutes later and saw 600 instead of 800.

In as much as the money is insignificant, I don’t like people playing a smart one on me.

For the limited time I’ve been on this hustle I’ve had a female rider send me sms asking me if I’d like to hook up some time later, I had one last week that was rubbing my hand that I placed on the gear lever, she does this mostly when I hit a pot hole then after the ride she asked me if I stay around where I picked her from, I said yes, she said would call me later then hugged me before stepping out of the car.

I just they reason am say wetin they worry this one.

Bolt will just decide to drop one’s rating like it means nothing to them.

Well, I don't know if u meet the target everyday at the said time. The work itself can be funny, I woke up around 5am with all eagerness to hit the road with all the apps on draining my battery till 8 no single request.
I just jejely go back to my bed, for now it's try again later things

I do,I always do. Somedays with 3 to 4 trips, I have it already.

They are coming to advice you to quit if it is not paying you, that was how i met one driver yesterday he said he has done 11 trips. How much did you make from the 11 trips i asked him he said around 10k I was just shaking my head.
Even if I have the energy and the zeal to be driving up amd down the whole Lagos what stops me from sifting or selecting the trips that doesn't worth it so as to make it worthwhile?
Me that did fewer trips even made more than him, well a lot of people are just working hard not smart.

I filter my trips and my target for the day is between 5 to 7k after removing fuel money. I work between 5am to 12pm then close for the day. Friday to Sunday is strictly night (9pm to 6am)

Monday is off day except I decide to shift it to Tuesday.

Meanwhile I've been meaning to ask this question about starting of trip.

I notice most riders usually ask 'have you started the trip'? like few minutes into the trip.

If I don't start the trip, how do I get paid, how do I navigate to your destination etc, these are the questions that goes on in my mind when they ask me that question.

Abi some drivers they do sake by not starting the trip? Because as for me, the moment you open my car door I'm starting the trip.

This is Nigeria, in Ghana I don't know what its required of their vehicle to have before you can drive but here in Nigeria, you need a functional A.C...If your AC is working why do you need your rider to tell you before you turn it on?

Is it really an entitlement mentality? A working AC is one of the requirements to drive on the platform why does a rider need to tell the driver to turn on the AC? I understand if the rider wants it off.

Probably it's a feature that they are still testing. Might eventually be rolled out to everyone.
