@ OP, what do mean by always neglected in the church?
Or do mean in ur own church ? Bcs there are no waste in the scriptures,
and moreover, SOS is an illustration of the love that exists btw Christ (the Bridegroom ) and his church ( the Bride ).
Mikeyjoe:
Church get brëast huh
^^^
Yes Mikeyjoe, church has brëast(s)...

Kiingsolomon:
Dat is because, many Pastors don't knw the SPIRITUAL interpretation of it...
Itz mundane in nature but takes outstanding wisdom to interpret it.

In short!... the book is talkn about christ only if u view it in a spiritual way.....We re d Woman...

No part of d bible is useless..
Ayo199:
hw can u explain d brëast part
^^^
It is obvious what the brëasts are, if one pushes SOS's double entendre to the back of the mind,
It wont be obvious though, if one doesnt, as the natural man or carnality might prevent clear perception or realization of what the brëasts signifies
Christianity EtcRe: The Kingdom Of The Cults - Dr. Walter Martin by BabaGnoni:

I scanned through the content in search of Word of Faith. Any book on cults that doesn't contain this is incomplete.

I will download it and let you know my views.

Thanks.
Word of Faith is in it alright, they used the phrase "Word Faith" movement

But these guys have unamicably split and parted ways

Hank followed Genesis 1:28 and literally took after it.
- one wife, 12 kids! shocked shocked shocked

- EXCERPT -

At this juncture it would be appropriate to quote Hank Hanegraaff, the president of the Christian Research Institute.
"While the Faith movement is undeniably cultic
— and particular groups within the movement are clearly cults
— it should be pointed out that there are many sincere, born-again believers within the movement.
I cannot overemphasise this crucial point. These believers, for the most part, seem to be wholly unaware of the movement’s cultic theology. … They represent that segment of the movement which, for whatever reason, has not comprehended or internalised the heretical teaching set
forth by the leadership of their respective groups." 9

If the gospel of the Word Faith movement is unbiblical, why is it so popular among Christians?

9. Hanegraaff, Christianity in Crisis (Eugene, Ore.: Harvest House Publishers, 1993), 41.

- Page 521 APPENDIX B The Word Faith Movement, THE KINGDOM OF THE CULTS {REVISED} by Walter Martin (1997) Hank Hanegraaff, Editor

- /EXCERPT -

it should be pointed out that there are many sincere, born-again believers within the movement posting in the past or now on NL's religion forum

These believers, for the most part, seem to be wholly unaware of the movement’s cultic theology…
They represent that segment of the movement which, for whatever reason,
has not comprehended or internalised the heretical teaching set forth by the leadership of their respective groups

PS: Ignore the split claim, I mistook Dr Walter Martin (i.e. Hank's late mentor) for Dr. James Kennedy

Iamsynord:
I have hardly attended a Sermon or Service where the Book of Songs of Solomon was examined in the preaching or even referenced during the sermon.
Even during Bible study, most people would skip Songs of Solomon.
I believe the Bible is the divine book of God's thoughts and there's is a perfect reason why any book, chapter or verse exists there in.

Why should a particular book be always ignored ??
^^^
It is always ignored because its tough meat and/or too much muscle to chew on

When or if weaned off milk and one has come of age, it becomes a doddle for the stomach to take or handle correctly when SOS is ingested

Samunique:

BluStreak:
This is how we humans twist the bible messages to suite our purpose.
Songs of Solomon is straight to the point and undiluted. Please people ignore this guy's explanation.
Samunique:
Then bring ur own explaination?
I'm waiting for u "Mr none-twisting the Bible".

Mikeyjoe & BluStreak, take it from Samunique, because as a matter of fact, SOS is primarily ecclesial
and secondarily a good relationship experience/lovemaking guide

usermane:
Thank you both(Ifeann & BabaGnoni), am actually glad you enjoyed the documentary.

An important fact left out of it is the protection and support the Islamists enjoy from the western government/politicians like Obama, western leftists and mainstream media, all thanks to multiculturalism and political correctness. This sabotage the effort of the reform minded Muslims willing to integrate and defend western values like freedom, tolerance and secularism.

We can understand this clearer by considering this forum. The Admin has not only given an entire section to Muslims but empowered Islamofascists, supremacist and militant Muslims to moderate and dominate the section, such that moderate, secular Muslims like me can't air their views, let alone non-Muslims. Only Muslims are permitted to post there and even then, only mainstream or orthodox teachings are tolerated in Islam section.

Still, the Admin continue to feed Islamofascists in this forum by authorizing them to censor topics even in Religion or Politics section. Ifeann, that is why your topic was deleted.

Not all Muslims are Islamists but an alarming fraction are. Any Muslim with a supremacist, absolutist and militant position on Islam is an Islamist even if he campaigns against Boko Haram. Islamists are wolves in sheep clothing, parasitizes on Islam and have a very twisted, demented and devious vision for the world. The earlier people like the Admin of this forum realizes that, the better.

There you go...
I wonder whether unbeknownst to you, you did have something to do with her decision
Definitely nothing to do with militancy threads or posts, nothing to do with unnecesary aggressive-verbal threads or posts
Dont read me or get me wrong, as I am not trying to crap up your style...

Every soul is important to God, not just Muslims

I swear to God almighty nothing is truthful in all the madness you guys are displaying all around. Its definitely the hatred you guys have for islam that is pushing you, imaging how babaGn.oni (who is also a christian) flawed your insincerity on the other thread undecided undecided but do you accept your fo0lishness? No. and thats how it continues to burn in your featherhead. No matter how glaring your lies are been exposed you guys will forever remain stiffmecked.

I have challenge you to preach your religion to me, a task given to christians by paul...but your response was that you are not here for challenge, and I keep wonderinh whether my rooomate is a quack christian unlike you who prefer to talk bad of islam (out of ignorant), he (my roomate) don't do that, he prefer to go out on evangelism of the bible to people, we do talk atimes about religion though not often and we respect eachother so much. Perhaps he is more sensible than you guys.
Well, I only do my interreligious argument on NL I don't carry it about offline.

So sire...Do you think my RM is a quack christian to have not been acting the way you are doing here? Why have'nt you been opening thread against the catholic faith since you once claim that they are of the devil (lets not forget they constiute huge % of the world christian population)? can you try and emulate my friend by preaching what your bible has to offer for me instead of your ignoratio elenchihuh

BabaGnoni:
Exactly my point too;
Ifeann, tell
"...which 11 year old bearded boys suckling breas.ts have you seen lately?"
And even better still, which grown-up man, bearded or not bearded have you seen or heard of lately, suckling bresticles?
You surely have relations who might be muslims, which of them do you know any that subscribes, endorses or practices suckling bresticles
Would have loved Ifeann so much more, if Ifeann didnt shy from answering the above

Ifeann, let's put the record straight, I questioned truthman2012's sincerity and motive for opening the thread
The insincerity was so blatant, amplified with a sensational and unnessary OMG
Matters were made worse with the sniggering posts that followed

Abuamam got sucked in, started out on a wrong foot with "To my Muslim brothers & sisters" and then out of desperation, lashed out with an uncalled for "breastmilk ice cream" weak jab to counter-attack and score a cheap point

He was advised that starting a post with "To my Muslim brothers & sisters" alienates the readership
He was advised further, next time, to deal ONLY with the problem (i.e. the Egyptian Sheikh and his hadith), and not to get sucked into making cheap jibes or underhand jabs

"Nothing to see here, so move along.
Breastfeeding isn't a major problem in Islam,
but Boko Haram, al-Qaeda links, terrorism violence is"

EvilBrain1:
I didn't reply to your earlier posts because I didn't deem them worthy of a response.
I have limited time and since your arguments are self-evidently nonsense, I decided to spend my energy on the one that seemed more sensible i.e Frosbel's.

I mean first you claimed that Paul was being sarcastic (lol!) with no real evidence outside your own imagination. Then you posted that long-winded video in an attempt to complicate a statement that is really quite simple and clear-cut.

Trying to win an argument by burying your opponent in grammar is a very cheap tactic that does not work here.

I know your pastors are fond of dancing from bible verse to bible verse, reading them out of context and twisting themselves into knots in trying to form a coherent-sounding argument, but this is not church we are not so easily fooled.

Even though I think he's wrong, Frosbel was at least using the legitimate methods of textual analysis and comparison of different texts to make his point that the passage was an interpolation.
There are even notable biblical scholars who agree with him.

I however disagree because I think its cherry-picking by those who want to rehabilitate Paul. If we were to discard every passage that seems to "break the flow of the passage" or "appears in a different location in some manuscripts" or looks suspicious for some other reason; there'll be very little left of the New Testament. We have to accept the fact that it is a hodgepodge written, edited, interpolated, redacted and manipulated by god knows how many people over centuries. We can't just delete one passage in isolation and claim that as proof that Saint Paul was actually a lovely guy instead of the horrible bigot he appears to be. If you remove that passage you'll have to also get rid of all those that suffer the same problems, and you'll end up with a completely different new testament that can fit on one sheet of paper.
