Helicopter is for surveillance and relaying info to the team on the ground, not for shooting practice. They don't even do that in other countries. Geezzz, |
back2back:Na this kain thinking dey hold naija back I swear. You know this because you are the state commissioner of police or you're part of the state's security team? How do you move ahead as a credible society with self defeatist and backward can't do spirit and attitude? What do you think the the RRS team on High power BMW bikes do? Just decorate Lagos roads. What about the 114 patrol vehicles Fashola just dashed the police? Do you honestly think advanced nations got everything right from day one by just snapping their fingers. How do you finish a hundred mile journey without taking the first step? Lagos don get Police/ Thanks for sharing that. |
The state government provided a platform for ordinary Nigerians and organizations at home and abroad to make contributions to the State Security Trust Fund by launching the Fund’s website with an e-donation payment engine and the Citizens’ Contributory Security system. The money for the Helicopters came from the trust fund. It highlights the governors foresight and great sense of administrative and communal skills. Lagosians don't live or have to live by other states standards because we have different realities and sense of obligation. If Lagosians wanna hype their Governor, that's their business. Go hype your governor if there's something to hype him for. |
What we can not afford to do is listen to backward thinking people and I'm glad these folks are not and will never be part of the decision making body at Alausa. If you do, they complain, if you don't, they complain. The same people yelled and cried about maintenance and white elephant when Lagos state rolled out the BRT, well, BRT is a huge success and the buses are still out there and getting maintained at dedicated maintenance yards all over the state. The trees are still growing, the flowers are still blooming and the grasses are still green. The way I see it, Lagos leads, the rest of the country including Abuja follows, These are simply the breaks and realities, |
Aloy~Emeka:More facts, less bull,Why must someone be a tribalist because he disagrees with you guys?.You leave people no choice but to call you one because you discounted Fashola's efforts and claimed that other governors are doing better, but you failed to support your claims with documented facts.I do not worship people, get it. Fashola is doing well but not as well as he is being promoted here. The topic is about the best governor, not a referendum on Fashola. Making it one means you have to justify if with facts which you grossly failed to do.First and foremost, he generates more internal revenues than othersObviously one of the reasons many anointed him the best governor. It's one thing to have a good tax base, devising effecting means of tax collection is another. Na good managerial and professional skills.does it not disturb you that Bola Tinubu who finished Lagos after Marwa is his God father?. You think Bola has no control over him and the contracts he is awarding?.What's this got to do with Fashola and hen was the last time we here anything about corruption within the LSG? Why not just provide the vaguest evidence to prove your contract award crap? You can no substitute facts with innuendos, |
Nchara:But we don't consume what's detrimental to our income. It's called cutting your coat according to your size. |
Baba_O:Don't mind the dude, hating and bad bele is his state of mind and I don't see him changing anytime soon. Every time he looks at his wretched village, he lashes out at Lagos, |
What else is there to do when you have nothing to show about yourself or your village but tirelessly and endlessly ransack the internet to dig up stuff about other people to make you feel better about your own existence? Life must be terribly hard out there, lol. |
Funny how some folks here talk about how some states are not getting media attention like Lagos state, the fact is, these states are not buried underground or in caves. Who are you fooling? Knowing you guys, if you have something from your states to put up against Lagos, na rub you for don rub am for everybody's face. The only reason you are not rubbing anything is because there's nothing to rub. Everything states do in terms of development and achievements is documented on their websites and you don't need the press to publicize roads and bridges people walk and drive on everyday, schools that kids attend everyday. Lagosians don't need the press to tell them who effected the beautiful parks in lagos, the new roads with sidewalks, the new bridges, the beautiful and green environment, BRT and Lag buses, the new taxis, new freeways and construction boom including the 1st 10 lane freeway with BRT and and light rail system Africa and a well oiled professional administration. The media nonsense has got to be the silliest crap ever. If you and your people are not seeing and talking about developments in your states, it simply means there's nothing on the ground to show or talk about, nothing for the media to report on, nothing. It's as if developments in other states are buried under ground and they need the media to go unearth them for the outside world to see and residents to discover. Please stop insulting people's intelligence and go look for some other yeye excuse. After talking and talking about cross rivers, Aloy Emeka end up posting some ridiculous stuff about the states achievements from the states website, It read, Initiates, pay teachers salaries, elect council of elders, elect economic council, relocate, rehabilitate, Abeg give me a break. |

Nchara:Why don't you state all the facts we haven't exhausted? |
Even in America, many states banned street begging and relocate beggars everyday, |
swezenberg:Thank you and very well stated. In my opinion, it's perfectly OK to show/display your regional pride, but at the same time you have to be sensible and realistic. Lagos is a light years ahead of other states in Nigeria in all aspects and questioning and saying otherwise is not only insanely ridiculous, it highlights a flawed sense of honesty. Just imagine, we're talking about a state administrator who is successfully managing a 20 million population state with every color and tribes from all over Nigeria coexisting peacefully and happily with almost the lowest crime rate in the country and they're talking about some states with less than a quarter of Lagos state's population? It's absolutely ridiculous, Even me entertaining such talks and comparing Fashola sounds like I'm insulting Fashola himself. |
oge4real:How many times do we have to repeat and furnish the same information to lay this to rest. The state built a rehab center in ikorodu to rehabilitate beggars, the fact is, these are professional beggars and they don't want to be rehabilitated. Officials of the state Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development, assisted by mobile policemen, last week raided some parts of the state and arrested destitute, beggars and others for rehabilitation at Owutu, Ikorodu. The officials were divided into three teams. One of the teams operated around Ikeja and Maryland. Another team moved to Victoria Island, Lekki and Ajah.http://74.125.155.132/search?q=cache:4VAkuBdsoeIJ:thenewsng.com/across-nigeria/lagosraiding-beggars-and-lunatics/2008/09+rehabilitation+center+ikorodu+beggars&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a |
Eye on Lagos - 2010 Budget of Consolidation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0w27aS9z-g I love this video. This is what you call superb and professional administration. These guys are very inspiring. |
Here is the hospital again, Eat your heart out with your bad bele, lmao. http://happylagosian..com/2009/07/bola-tinubu-bt-pediatric-complex-and-bt.html |
Aloy~Emeka:Juvenile diatribe is talking nonsense with out facts and documented evidence. People are not stupid and they'll always call you to back up your lies with facts. Now, who's perpetually daft? You of course. You must be daft to think people are just gonna sit back while you needlessly criticize and make unsubstantiated wild claims and not get challenged. |
Aloy~Emeka:Its either you are perpetually daft or you are from the most remote village in Ekiti state. I've told you before that I have better hospitals than that in my village and its no biggie. And I', still saying you're lying simply because you repeat the same thing all the time, but you're yet to name the hospital and show picture, you must think your word is good enough to take to the back, especial a factually bankrupt person like you,Trust me when I tell you that because I understand the medical equipment business very well; The equipments shown in that picture is not up to $5K[US specification].We had this argument before and you couldn't even name any of the equipments,, infact, you mislabeled the only one you attempted to name. abeg stop, you don't know crap about medical equipment, I used to work in a hospital and those are the same diagnostic equipments you see in advanced countries. |
Aloy~Emeka:.Me have bad belle?. You don't even know where I'm from. I don't have to exchange diatribes for real. Why should I repost it when you participated in the thread earlier? That was Enugu, I believe we're talking about Cross Rivers now, And I stand by it, na bad bele because you still have not posted a single picture to back up your claim.Again, were you not the person complaining about tribalists in the other thread?. So we are no more allowed to criticize anybody unless we belong to the same tribe? We are all allowed to criticize, it's bad bele when we criticize just for the heck of it/for nor reason.See some of the handwork of Chime here: http://supportsullivanchime.com/sullivan_chimes_achievements.pdfEverything here says Attracting, repositioning, initiating, working on, creating economic council, elders council, promoting workers, paying salaries, |
Aloy~Emeka:Nobody is knocking Fashola down. After all i posted over 80% of all his achievements on nairaland and not BP.Again, don't say nothing you can't back up, You're overarching with your 80%, not even 20% if you ask me. You needlessly criticize anything lagos and it's about the only reason we both go back n forth on NL. @ least be honest with yourself. What am saying is that what he is doing is not extraordinary and when measured with some other states on a balanced financial scale, he may not be outperforming them. I don't do hero worship; my own is to praise you if you do good and point out your flaws when necessary. That is the only way we can move ahead. You're free to say whatever you want or claim that other governors are better, just be ready to be challenged and willing to come up with documented facts to back it up, something you still haven't done and till you come up with something, it's nothing but bad bele.I hate it when people start playing tribal card in other to prove that the other party is envious. When you talk talk talk and needlessly criticize with no facts, it's bad bele. Abi your favorite pastime is just to open mouth for nothing? If Fashola builds road in Lagos and I am from Taraba, will I be banned from using the road?. Wouldn't he be saving me money because my car won't be going to the mechanic workshop?. The same is applicable to other states. The moment Africans start thinking outside the box, the sooner our redemption. In the same breath, the moment some of us stop needlessly winning and complaining unjustly about good people, the sooner our redemption and prosperity. You do it all the time. |
Aloy~Emeka:You see what I mean; I've been following Fashola more than you. Just cancel out the ones in red.Biggest delusional joke of the year. |
Aloy~Emeka:Like I told you, instead of running mouth, why don't you do what I'm doing to prove your point, post your own pictures. It's one thing to cry and whyn, it's another to put something where your mouth is, See, it really doesn't matter what I posted here tonight and even though you have nothing to post to assert your own point with, you'll never be satisfied because you have other considerations like bad bele and regional differences driving your blind and dishonest rants. Where are your pictures. I want to see what they are doing in Enugu, you still haven't posted one single picture? You have no mouth to talk myfriend. |

Going on and on about the media sounds redundant because it's one thing to drag the media around, having something to show the media is another thing, Of what use is the media if you have nothing to show? It's common sense. Obviously Fashola is doing something hence us having pictures to post everyday. There's no need to drag the media or force them to take pictures of his achievements, it's out in the open, you can not miss it. Peop see new over head bridges, new roads, new buses, new parks, tees and flowers, street lights, almost crime free environment and sane society. People don't need the press to document all that, they are witnessing it, it's all around them. Aloy~Emeka:I'll go ahead and indulge you on one condition. Are you willing to post 2 pictures from cross rivers for each Lagos picture? And what wont cut it about the hospital picture? is it not infrastructural development and direct result of of what lagosians charged the governor to do? Sorry, you can not set the rules, Fashola built the hospital, it's one of his numerous achievements and I'm not telling you what to post or not post. Are you game? |
One Governor once said, if you stand in the middle of the star of David and make any wish, and walk around it seven times, your wish will come true.Who is this wonderful governor? |
Aloy~Emeka:Showing us what he did or is doing better than Fashola would have sufficed, |
