PoliticsRe: Iyabo Obasanjo Vs Remilekun Bakare , Traffic Offences Is Not A Criminal Crime by babasin(m): 5:28pm On Nov 16, 2007
Criminal matter on the other hand involve something more cynical and will usually involve spending time before bar or probation at minimu.
I know repeated traffic offenders, who go their licence revoked and taken to court.

They are no allowed to drive for two years and this was inserted into their criminal records as 'dangerous to public'

As said, they need to provide the 'official judgement' and we can see if she stands to be senator or not.
PoliticsRe: Iyabo Obasanjo Vs Remilekun Bakare , Traffic Offences Is Not A Criminal Crime by babasin(m): 11:09am On Nov 16, 2007
traffic offence can also be criminal offence:

if you drink-drive and destroy public facility

if you kill someone with your car

if you driver licence is taken away after a numerous traffic offence.

He should get the offical certicate criminal proceeding against her and present that to the tribunal
PoliticsEnd Of US-dollars? by babasin(op): 11:05am On Nov 16, 2007
The american rappers always show-off with DOLLARS, but now they have switched to EURO.

is this the begning of end of DOLLARS?

Wads of dollar bills are usually as much a part of rap videos as fast cars, diamond-encrusted jewellery and scantily-clad models.
But in an apparent nod to the low value of the dollar, rapper Jay-Z's new video Blue Magic features another currency.

PoliticsRe: N500million For Live Broadcast Of Senate Screening Of Ministers by babasin(op): 9:59am On Nov 16, 2007
Now Senate are changing tunes:

The Senate yesterday said it did not approve N500 million payment for live telecast of screening of 40 ministerial nominees in July, contrary to the erroneous impression created by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions.
The Committee report, submitted on Tuesday, contained findings and recommendations arising from its investigations into sources of allegations that the Senate President, David Mark, was at the centre of a N3.4 billion scam, revealing that in respect of the alleged N500 million for live telecast of ministerial screening, the Senate approved the live coverage in a close session.
It, however, did not say that the Senate approved N500 million as payment to the television stations. According to the Committee in the 16-page report, “it is true that the Senate engaged two television houses to broadcast the ministerial screening live

PoliticsRe: N500million For Live Broadcast Of Senate Screening Of Ministers by babasin(op): 7:00pm On Nov 15, 2007
@presido1
If the senate can pay 400mill to broadcast ministerial screenning what then is called TV right.
TV Right= Tv station pays to air a programe. Now in Nigeria its the other way round yet we have EFCC fighting corruption.
Well said. This is crime that needs to be punished. And money recover from those stations.

When are we going to be creative in Nigeria?

TV station will get more advert, money if they good in thinking and not depend on man-know-man to get senate to pay them.

How many TV stations followed-up on the 'roasting of people' on lagos-ibadan? how many have gone to chase minister of transport?
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Online Scams - Efcc Still Missing The Point by babasin(m): 5:55pm On Nov 15, 2007
luring potential investors into falling mugu in e-mail scams the last time i checked doesn't make them criminals.
This false. It is perfetcly legall and tenable in any law court all over the world.

In USA: police women are sometimes plant as decoy-prostitute to arrest men solicting for sex on the street.

Police can also set-you up. This is allowed but the 'attorney-general' needs to be aware whats going.

This is pro-active policing. It is missing in Nigeria because we like reactive Policing.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Online Scams - Efcc Still Missing The Point by babasin(m): 3:41pm On Nov 15, 2007
Put differently, the so called victim should be sent down to Nigeria to face charges of financial crimes against Nigeria.
Exactly!

This is what I have said numerous times.

Actually EFCC could initiate a 419 deal.

They posse as initiator and encourage the victim to come to Nigeria to collect his riches, they get him/her arrested and sent to prison.

The news will spread like wildfire and 419 we be reduce over night.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Power Problem - Why Energy Conservation Is A Must by babasin(m): 2:53pm On Nov 15, 2007
how about the govt stops the importation/production of the 60w bulbs. If they are not available we cannot use them.
Good Idea, but they will need to provide funds at good rate for such companies to covert from 60W to lower wattage.

we should not be importing bulb anyway, but you never know

PoliticsRe: N500million For Live Broadcast Of Senate Screening Of Ministers by babasin(op): 11:53am On Nov 15, 2007
so you think it is illegal, go and open your own private station and spend your money covering government and private events.
It is illega contract.!

The TV stations will get viewers if they can show this live and with Viewers they can make money by advertisement.

Senate should be auctioning these screenings to make money from TV stations and not waste public money. This is criminal.
PoliticsN500million For Live Broadcast Of Senate Screening Of Ministers by babasin(op): 11:25am On Nov 15, 2007
This is true and amazing.

Nigeria senate awarded N500million as live broadcast for screen of candidates?

This is shocking and illegal.

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed the allegation that it awarded a N500m contract for the live telecast of the screening of ministerial nominees in July 2007.
Most of these TV/radion station should actually be paying the senate as they will get viewer to their station and they can make money by advertisement.

But in Nigeria, where corruption is crazy, Senate are paying TV station to come to see them.

TravelRe: Safe Hotels Near Lagos Airport? by babasin(m): 10:53am On Nov 15, 2007
Hotels in Lagos are terrible.

I was in sheraton paid N96,000 for a night and there was 'NEPA' outage every 20mins.

Was so bad, that I was scared of getting locked in the lift.

Also, the CC system is terrible. They use chip instead of swaping your card. The rooms are ok.

I was also in Eko Hotel; service is a bit better and cheaper but you need to get one of the rooms from 7th floor above. These are renovated and good view of Ocean. I paid N126,000 for two nights.

Also, there is 'Europcar'; service good. They pick you up and take you to hotel.

Conclusion:Lagos badly needs a cheap world-class hotel. Investor will make a killing. I heared Raddison will open in VI next year.

As soon as I plugged in the VERY FIRST LINK I posted there, the very picture of the man came up and you CLAIM there are no pictures or videos for people to see??
No where in your LINK is picture of BUSH and his damaged people were show TOGETHER

You can tell same story in different ways.

In my pictures, which you will never see in any US news shows Bush face with his damaged people.

You can see the anguish on Bush face(almost saying God, did I really caused this), you can appreciate the 'owner of cause' and the effect on victim; they are connected.

Thats the import of those pictures from my european source.

Decisions to go to wars are usually taken by old men, on a conference table and these people know the reason why they want to fight.

Laws should be changed:

Any Leader that calls for war, should also sent his own kids(where no kid; then he has no business being leader) to war front!
