PoliticsRe: Kogi, Kebbi: Which Governor Is Next? by babasin(m): 10:10pm On Oct 22, 2007

yaradua is on stolen mandate.

nigerians needs their mandate back and will rightfully give to a fair winner; not some cheat!
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Build's His Helicopter! by babasin(m): 6:34pm On Oct 22, 2007
I wondered why most of these multinational companies we've got in this Nationa are not encouraging such!
they want quick return on investment; this is last thing they want to invest on.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Build's His Helicopter! by babasin(m): 5:24pm On Oct 22, 2007
I hope some rich business man invests
This is not something the government should be involve in. It's an invention and private company
lets looks at this with reality:

Nobody will buy made in Nigeria Helicopter except Nigerian govt( basically we dont have good reputation)

or if very cheaper; nigerians can buy as they now buying hand-phones.

To start with, his hope is with Govt; who can buy for each state(36 Helicopters); to spray crops/farm lands while further redesign goes on.

may be after 10yrs of continuous improvement and good reputation, he can hope to sell to other african countries.

what  I expect to see; each state putting down 10Million naira each to buy 1 unit.

sure there will be accidents or even deaths but he would redesign and refine.

This is N360mill less than what madam speaker wasted for nothing.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Build's His Helicopter! by babasin(m): 5:11pm On Oct 22, 2007
But on the contrary this guys Helicopter bring my mind back to 1910, the whole thinks looks crude & dangerous.
this is basic proto-type!

if well funded, the chasis + body will be moulded, wiring will be controlled, seat ergonomically designed etc
PoliticsRe: How Abacha Was Killed by babasin(m): 5:09pm On Oct 22, 2007
Abacha had cirrhosis of the liver which on its own is capable of triggering high blood pressure . . . to now go ahead and take Viagra was extremely silly.
clearly Abacha was murdered by the WEST because he was not protecting their interest. how do I know:

How many people did Abacha killed? Not up to 15; Kudrat, Rewane

OBJ wiped-out ODI village; 200people were killed

the WEST raised no words since OBJ was doing their wishes.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Build's His Helicopter! by babasin(m): 5:05pm On Oct 22, 2007
This chopper indeed look nice; lets see what becomes of it:

Note:

1. we have ministry of technology

2. we have defence industry

3. we have $47billion in foreign reserve

What I guess we dont have is 'LEADERSHIP'; lets see what yaradua can do.

Etteh can afford to renovate for N625million.

This guy can produce effective pro-types for N10million. and cost could come down if each state decide to buy one; to spray crops atleast to start with
PoliticsRe: Landmines: Ban Or Not? by babasin(op): 4:56pm On Oct 22, 2007
During the Iraq/Iran war, children were sent running through minefields so that by their martyrdom, they'd go straight to heaven while clearing a path for their armies to pass through.
where is link to this? and not a US link pls; as we know the story about the 'weapon of mass destruction' which was never found till today
cheesy grin
PoliticsRe: Obj Questioned By London Police by babasin(m): 4:51pm On Oct 22, 2007
If they produce cheques, they should remember that it can be verified by the court from Bank transaction history going from the Person's account to OBJ's account.
so which BANK has denied , they never worked on those cheques?
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Build's His Helicopter! by babasin(m): 1:51pm On Oct 22, 2007
If there is no one in the private sector who views this as a viable project, then Government should not touch it because the private sector has been shown to be the smarter investor.
now you got it all wrong

Many projects start as Government/Military project before private sector see the benefit and try using it.

This very internet started as US/Swiss govt/military project; now see what its today

Volkwagen started as govt project:
in 1933, Adolf Hitler met with Ferdinand Porsche to discuss Hitler's idea of a volkswagen. Hitler proposed a people's car that could carry 5 people, cruise up to 62mph, return 33mpg, and cost only 1000 Reich Marks
see what its today; the biggest car company in europe.

Space journey started as govt project, see now we have space tourism.

The amount of money, time needed is not what private sector looking for, till it becomes robust.

Thats why I answered you:
because its more attractive to get 'oil block' and just sell of the profit. you don't do any work; easy money!
Private sector wants quick money, right away. Govt is more long term benefit.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Build's His Helicopter! by babasin(m): 12:35pm On Oct 22, 2007
You mean there is no billionaire Nigerian Entrepreneur who can invest and develope this technology?
YES.

because its more attractive to get 'oil block' and just sell of the profit. you dont do any work; easy money!

moreover, banks will not borrow anyone money to buy this guy helicopter.

Govt need to kick start the project, and gradually withdrawal.

Let Nigeria army, police, navy buys this 'copter' for training.

PoliticsRe: Obj Questioned By London Police by babasin(m): 10:37am On Oct 22, 2007
All the Governors claiming they gave OBJ money for third term have forgotten that they need proof to implicate OBJ,
seems that you have short-memory; no offence.

The ex-plateau Governor; Dariye proof was very CLEAR.

OBJ issuesed a cheque to pay back the N100million Dariye gave to him. Atiku published this cheque.
PoliticsRe: Attorney-general’s Letter Set Ibori Free by babasin(m): 10:34am On Oct 22, 2007
your Aijobola said:

I have not been chanced to meet the AGF and to hear his own explanation on why the letter was written. Prima facie, based on the letter, I frown at that type of letter, until a contrary view is given.
Let Ajibola go and do that and they come back to pages of newspaper to write.

in 1988 OBJ was busy telling IBB that 'sap' should have human-face. 1999-2007, same OBJ virtaully wiped 'smiles' from faces of Nigerians.
PoliticsRe: Obj Questioned By London Police by babasin(m): 10:26am On Oct 22, 2007
Was OBJ questioned as a witness or a suspect?
Thats irrelevant. there is only 1 suspect on this case, IBORI.

anyother person questioned are just witness; just like AGF who send a written paper.

The fact that OBJ was questioned at all shows he is not clean; its a indirect indictment on him.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Build's His Helicopter! by babasin(m): 10:21am On Oct 22, 2007
how much has he spent to build this?

Let government create a frame work and provide more funding for him to build a better prototype.

Let govenment made, all state to buy one each to spray their farms

do this for 10yrs consitently and you will be amazed

China in 70s were busy rebuild bicyle. see them today.

But alas, nothing will be done with this guy.
TravelRe: Abuja: A World Class City! A Hope For Nigeria? by babasin(m): 8:42pm On Oct 21, 2007
but still, that doesn't mean we can't have beautiful surroundings for God sake. Why are we so pessimistic and quick to dismiss everything as if nothing good can come out of naija
Nigerians do not need 'Abuja tower' to have beautiful surroundings; let them clean-up those TELEPHONE wires, those over flowing drainages.

I am not against beautiful surrouding but against so fanciful building which add no REAL value to life of Nigerians.

fanciful building will come later; when we have booming middle income people
TravelRe: Abuja: A World Class City! A Hope For Nigeria? by babasin(m): 7:17pm On Oct 21, 2007
out of all the pictures the dude posted, only one or two showed people in the pictures
people work in those buidlings or are they empty buildings for abuja city fashion?

Those people working there go home to their SLUM every night; no NEPA, no water etc and you expect corruption to go away?

grin cheesy

Think again

we are misplacing priorities!
PoliticsRe: James Ibor's Jet by babasin(m): 7:13pm On Oct 21, 2007

PoliticsLandmines: Ban Or Not? by babasin(op): 4:47pm On Oct 21, 2007
TRIPOLI (Reuters) - Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has defended the use of landmines by weak countries countering aggression by stronger adversaries, and said the Ottawa treaty banning anti-personnel mines should be amended or scrapped
Eighty percent of states have signed the 1997 convention banning antipersonnel mines. Libya, along with 37 other nations including the United States, China and Russia, has not signed the treaty, the first global accord against antipersonnel mines
I am sure our clueless leaders would have signed this accord! The shallow thinking miscrant of rulers.

But he said the weapons could also have a legitimate role.

"There are other elements in the convention that cannot be accepted: 1. The complete prohibition of the manufacture and use of landmines. 2. The destruction of the stockpiles of landmines," the October 17 statement on Gaddafi's website said.

"If this simple defensive weapon is banned, how could the victims of aggression, who possess no effective offensive or defensive weapons, defend themselves against a stronger enemy capable of crossing their borders and occupying their land?"

"The prohibition of landmines, the last and weakest means to defend one's land, means condemning the weak peoples to capitulation. It means that they have no way to defend themselves except with cudgels, axes and knives."

He said the convention "confused the necessary and the unnecessary, the harmful and the beneficial" and should either be reformulated or abandoned. If the world really wanted to protect humanity, it should ban the manufacture and possession of weapons of mass destruction, he said.

OBJ sham of election should be dismantle one after the other.

OBJ + IWU should be taken to court for wasting 'Nigerians money + time', ordinary election they cant organise;

no wonder after 8yrs the country is worse as before.

Go and check where all the people in your picture lives; SLUMS in Kubwa, yanyan, lugbe.

The toilets in those building are a disaster.

Nigeria do not need fancy government building.

Nigerians need clean-water, electricity, school that functions, hospital that works, roads without pot-holes

Abuja stadium was built for N12billion; what is the use now?

This tower is absolute rubbish for Government to engage in.: MISSPLACED PRIORITY

Are you saying the proposed towers are absolute rubish or celebrating Abuja as a world class city and symbol of hope 4 nigeria is rubbish? I don't understand.
every Nigeria town/village/city should be hope for 4 nigeria! otherwise in another 10yrs; abuja will become another lagos; over populated etc

1million naira = 10,000dollars. you joking right?

How much is the Eagles' german coach paid a month? $10,000
PoliticsRe: Obj Questioned By London Police by babasin(m): 11:33am On Oct 21, 2007
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo was last Wednesday quizzed for over two hours by the London Metropolitan Police, as part of their investigation of James Ibori, the former governor of Delta State. Ibori is currently being investigated in the UK on charges of corruption.
I am not surprise. The foolish old man only brought this upon himself.

IBB clevery has shown to the world what 'thief' OBJ is by massively sponsring him to win 1999 election.

OBJ has rubbished his image. He can never recover from this.

lesson to all others.

Yomi Tella has died a mere six weeks after leading Nigeria to the under-17 World title in September.
and so the my died!

yaradaa + atiku, governors were flown abroad asap but not a national hero, 'Tella'

Only a fool will do anything for Nigeria; you better do it for yourself.

If this man had stolen money; he would have fly himself abroad.

what a loss to his family; not Nigeria, because they dont appreciate him

you gotta save yourselves.

uumm, If that be the case, Being my Brother's Keeper would mean pointing the truth out to my brother @Babasin
what is the truth? end of the day; its BLACK FACES suffering there. It rubs on all of us.

who is the weeping race: BLACKS. so when I will working together and ensuring we progress?

US + RUSSIA always at logger heads; but behind the scene they work together.

Whats stopping Nigeria sending PETROL to that country? Value the cost and Nigeria get choice area in that country?

Not only in Zim, even ECOWAS has failed to move forward.

The economic downfall is solely due to the mismanagement of the economy by Mugabe, not sanctions.
