Dear Nairalanders, I am about buying a Peugeot 307 car(Naija used but in good condition) this week but I don't know much about the car. I need your reviews to know if it's a good and reliable car or I should just run ooo?

Kid, the white men who created automatic transmission did it to make life easier for all of us. But look at Nigerians, infact if you can handle automatic and can't handle a manual car, dem go say you never sabi drive yet. We are just so used to hardship in this country. Infact we love hardship.

Whites still use manual gear very well. Automatic gear was basically invented for the handicapped but because people were demanding for it and that's why they started producing it for everyone.

Anyways, @OP please repair the AC and the left hand shaft and sell it at a higher price. Maybe 1 point something upward, so you can get more money to buy a new one.

I have a Nissan Altima (2000) model and I'm thinking of upgrading to another car with more ground clearance because the road to my new site is very bad and this car doesn't fit the road and I don't want it to be hitting ground. The prices of cars that I'm seeing (both foreign and naija used) are very scary and I'm so confused on what to do. I just want to ask how much do you think I can sell this car considering the high cost of buying another one. I want to know how much you think it can go for so that I can know what do maybe I should sell it and upgrade or I should keep managing it like that in my new area. The car engine and gear is good, just the left hand shaft needs replacement. The AC is leaking out gas after 2 weeks usage. I will appreciate your contribution so that I can know what to do. Your budget may not get a good crv 2008. But all three cars are okay. Be careful with naija used. Most of these cars have been seriously abused

Reasons why I don't like automatic gears coz they ain't reliable in Nigeria because we don't have gear experts that will work on your gear and won't give issues again. Even most Tokunbo gears in the market are the rebuilt ones that they will be selling as tokunbo, and hence it will start misbehaving again after some months. My own gear too started misbehaving while I was going to church today coz it's not engaging when I got to the middle of the road. I'm selling the car off and going for manual coz changing of gear box is not an assurance that it won't pack up again coz u don't know if u are buying a rebuilt gear as tokunbo or not

Reason why the previous user sold it. This matter is very strong and I will suggest you get a good rewire to help u check coz I think it's wiring problem. That's one of the reasons why naija used cars dey fear me.

This Honda CR-V foreign used is extremely clean in and out. The engine and gear is in perfect and the AC is Moscow standard. Very sharp movement like Boeing 737 and the general performance is mind blowing. The papers are also intact too. Buy this machine, zoom off straight to your in-laws place to oppress them. It's going for a very reasonable and mouth watering amount. Interested and serious buyers should DM or call for more enquiry. Price is slightly negotiable.

Very low fuel consumption is another factor. It consumes fuel just a little more than Keke napep. But I heard their parts are very expensive especially the engine.

Dear nairalanders, I gave my car to a gear expert to help me service the gear by changing the oil. I bought the gear oil myself and he did the oil change. Nothing bad happened to the gear but I noticed yesterday that the gear is not selecting again. It is engaging and moving but not just changing from gear one. I checked the guage dipstick and I discovered that the oil has passed the normal full level on the dipstick. Can this cause the gear not to be selecting again?

Dear nairalanders, kindly help me with my gear issue. It engages and picks up fast but it's not selecting, speedometer and cruise not working as well. What could be the issue pls. Gear expert checked it and said no issue with gear that it's wiring issue. Electrician checked and said no issue with wiring. I need your help pls. The car is Nissan Altima 2000 model. Thank you.

It's obviously a wiring problem. Get a good technician bro
