We all need to know and accept the fact that most ladies do not become single mums deliberately. I have a friend that was dating a guy for 3years, got pregnant and they both decided to get married. After the introduction, the guy suddenly said he was no longer ready to get married and by then she was over 4months pregnant (3wks to d wedding) and he left.
Would u now cast blames on this lady for being a single parent? All these holier than thou men around here, u all have sisters. It's hard, yes but do you really love her? If yes, marry her. The fact that she kept and birthed a pregnancy doesn't make her sub-human. Every girl would be a mother today if they had not aborted pregnancies. Besides, what makes you think your so called free and single girl has a good womb? Afterall some men marry free and single ladies and they start praying for the fruit of the womb years into the marriage only for tests to discover that the ladies had damaged wombs, due to series of abortions.
Personally, I've seen a girl that had 2 abortions in 4 months. So, who's the bad one here? Just try to know the truth behind the birth of the child and her present relationship status with the father. If you hear the stories of some of these so called single mothers, you'll even pity them.

Why didn't you marry her when she got pregnant? Do you know the shame of carrying a pregnancy out of wedlock? Rather she was even living with your parents. My dear, park well jor! All you did shows that you only cared for the child and not the woman, cos even if na small traditional marriage for parlour, you for do. It's not that expensive, u know. Anyways, with the way things are now, I'll advise you to give it some time to cool down cos' sincerely, you can't lay a claim on the child since you never married d mother.

Like I said before it'll be very very hard. You would wake up at night and cry your eyes out most times, you would swear for the child's father and even yourself, you would become bitter and curse the day you met the b*stard, but have faith and press on. There's light at the end of the tunnel. I'm speaking from personal experience. Today I look at my girl and say thank you lord for this gift. The man that would accept you and the child would come. The mentality of our men is gradually changing (unlike some strange beings we have here on NL). So be strong, have faith and get something doing...this phase of your life would definitely pass.
