This is a crude politics at the expense of human development. Why wont politicians choose beautification of capital cities in the commity of shanty pestilential squalours in the hinterland begging for some care (I am from that state). This is specifically targeted as it is catchy and plays very fast to the heart of the electorates whose votes are targeted. Beautifying a capital city is very cheap and endears to the non elitist and not so informed majority, a great asset in electioneering process in Nigeria. Invariably capital intensive projects like investing in education, creation of jobs, power generation etc are cleverly avoided. I have been in Europe for a while and come to understand that the cart is always placed before the horse in Nigeria and people expect things to work. |

dedeike: it's obvious some people are not listening. Gej has profiled what he is doing to improve on the power sector. He has talked about the revival of NiPP and even hinted that it was part of his trip to Brasil where he engaged electric Giants- Electro bus to come and invest. He says he's involving the private sector into distribution of power hence the upward review of tariffs to encourage them. That the tariffs are structured in such a way as to make the privileged of the society pay for the have nots.Hey, hey, hey just calm down listen to those gibberish remarks of ur president; he said Indians light candles to continue their work when the light goes off, but Nigerians will rather lazy around and blame the government; if light goes off in India, its obvious it will be restored in minutes, and hence encourages the worker to improvise, pending the restoration of the light. Nigeria's problem is not the subjects, its leadership- corruption in leadership and then, SECURITY. Where is the oil revenue? I dey vex ooo |

What is wrong with Nigerian girls. They pretend a lot; a friend of mine is ready to marry and seriously searching. I have introduced him to 2 girls and all they do is play hard to get, and both are overdue for marriage; they do not know that they lose their opportunities in useless pretext and tomorrow they start crying in the mid night. My guy has severally tried to fix meeting with each girl (in different locations in Nigerian and not knowing themselves when he arrives Nigeria. One said she would be travelling to Dubai on a holliday, the other said she would be "driving to one OBUDU Ranch in the east" on a holiday. The moment they notice say ma guy dey come from jand, they too wan show body may be not to be taken for granted. As I speak to you, among the two girls, none agree say she go dey for the whole of July wey ma guy go show. Meanwhile, the one wey dey go Dubai na one Mushin girl wey just start work dey try feed who I wan even help to get better hubby. The one driving to holiday, that one na long story. Why things change like this for these girls. One irony is that if ma guy na one home boy, him for no get all these posting. I tire oh. |
Nigeria has a long way to go>>>>>> |
The rate of ignorance is still very high in the country. People do not know their left from their right. Even in this forum, you still find out there is no sound public opinion; better education is lacking. |
Hey, what sags the scrotal sack is just higher temperature, stop that unfounded theory. It contracts back when it becomes colder. |

woooow; this is real web frenzy, don't know if someone has heard of withdrawal syndrome! I think the poster is just sampling opinion, psychologically, a little fear is creeping in due to this withdrawal from both sides which might endanger compatibility in due time... wish u luck any way. |
I have heard of dual engine failure mainly on long distance flights, not just between Abuja and Lagos, less than one hour; this is terrible. We are talking of both engines suddenly becoming non functional. We need better explanation ![]() muffins99: As you said, your comment is one of ignorance. Planes are machines and anything can go wrong, including dual engine failure. All you need is a series of events which on their own will not result in major problems but when combined will result in devastating consequences. Although very rare, dual engine failure can happen if the jet runs out of fuel, the pipes are blocked or the fuel pump is faulty. However, as Jakumo said, the plane can continue to fly (or glide) albeit at slower speed and lower altitude, depending on the glide ratio e.g for every mile of altitude, it can glide x amount of miles/km. The only thing a plane needs to fly is airspeed but without engines, speed is usually maintained at lower altitude so in this case, the plane will have descended to maintain speed and also to line up with the runway. The plane's glide ratio probably fell short of the runway and it's uunfortunate that there were tall buildings in the area because otherwise, the plane could have landed on a flat piece of land, probably the worst result is that the tires will snap, the plane skids and passangers are thrown around and will be badly bruised. |
I just dey look for the retina, ![]() |
What in the world is the relationship between America and Israel? |
It really beats my imagination how two engines would fail simultaneously just between Abuja and Lagos;... thinking very hard... ![]() |
