I think this is very proper; its another way of encouraging sportsmanship; if there are other ways (I know there are, but this one is not out of place) you think the committee should be doing this, suggest it, not crying wolf for nothing. We complain a lot! |
Please, does anyone know how effective or how fast registered mail goes from Nigeria to Europe. I have once used it to send a valuable item from Europe which reached in less than 2 weeks; don't know how fast it goes from Nigeria. |
Another truth is that the institution of marriage is becoming so outdated even in the western world. The rate of divorce, eh! even single women at the verge of 40 do not even bother having a man at all; At least their se* toys are good alternatives to a long thing; and then their dogs, good substitute to a child, at least one that wont disturb their peace. |
They should remember their brothers from places like Nigeria and Ethiopia, |
My own brother once quipped: i would nt have got married yet if I knew; while chatting with my friend's wife, I made my intention of getting married known to her and asked her to help me look for a good woman that I would marry when I return to Nigeria. The answer was, hnmmm, this one wey to marry dey shak u, e no easy oh. And come to think of it, how come my brother who loves me so dearly, never asked me to start thinking of marriage, at this age? Something is definitely not too right about it; yet it is inevitable. I told myself im gonna get married immediately I come home, already talking to a girl I met on fb, but once in a while I get so scared, and so repulsive by sheer instinct of what the hell im stepping into. I have really dated some women in the past, but the experience was not too good, 2 out of 3 of them were always so desperate to rush to the altar. As a Christian, I have chosen to PRAY, and then what can we do, one must get married. |
I get so confused the more being a single man, though at an overripe age; I am compelled to believe all the odds posted about getting married cos the men around me all married and are here for studies in Europe, behaved like they were unleashed from a penitentiary were they have been starved of sex for ages; that is the very first weeks we arrived. It is so sad, God I need your encouragement. |
surprise say nobody sabi say na Emeka Ike be that we sidon fo extreme ![]() |
There are car freaks in Nigeria than you can ever imagine; The big Camry under discussion is not one of my favourites, it looks like empty box when it starts ageing, too big and clunky sort of. |
Nobody ever admits snoring except this guy; typical of Nigerian; wait, @Elmos, are you gay? you said the guy you wanted to marry and later in the closing of your text you said no girl would want to stay with a snoring man; conflicting. I did snore but it disappeared over time due to management and prayers. I had to quit smoking and drinking and try to have exercise and enough rest before bed and also eat moderately and on time. Snoring can be managed and one thing I have found here that the west do not know is prayers; it at times sound ridiculous, but what has not been made known to the high and mighty has been revealed to the young babes. Prayer works, even on unthinkable things |
LMAO, Obviously, im beginning to think that a lot of Nigerians have never flown in an air craft. ![]() |
How much are Assistant Lectures in the Nigerian federal universities paid? |
Few advice, for students studying abroad: You have an opportunity to break records especially if you had passed through reading-with-tear type of Nigerian education. My solemn advice is, study hard and quit clubbing and cruising around for pleasure. Though, you can do that at the appropriate time! The system of education here is such that you can exploit with hard naija experience and make good grades that will throw you to unimaginable heights. I have seen many Nigerian students, in order to belong to the teeny boppers, waste away their precious time and money; they want as quick as possible to become Europeans, spend so much on frivolities to impress who is not even watching them; believe me, there is still materialism among women here who will drag you to untimely bankruptcy. All those things will come at the appropriate time if you refuse to be distracted. I talk from experience, its not easy though, but at the end, I dined with top professors from Europe and had option to choose between jobs. |
I no see Jonathan, I no see the Amen saga. Na wa oh for the long video ![]() |

Can someone help me crack this surprising puzzle I jammed in a school in Europe. I enrolled in a European school for my masters program and started socialising as much as I could, to know more people and adapt... Out of every 10 girls I cooperated with, 7 said I asked them out. This is a big surprise to me, when I never had any such intention... Is this how it is here? Na waoh |
God will surely have mercy on Nigeria. I had always wondered why people in that part of the world are always at the receiving end of everything. Here in Europe, during the winter, I was always marvelled whenever they make good weather a prayer point in their churches. The toughest of the winters cannever be compared to what we have over there in the name of weather. I remember my days in Lagos when I could not sleep for several days because of heat, whatever the winter here you just need to cover yourself with any cheap winter wear or blanket and have a very sound sleep. Lets leave electricity for now. I have never seen any rodent or those nasty insects in my low level room where I live as a student, yet the cutest and most hygienic houses in Nigeria have all these disease infesting insects, not to mention the worst of all, mosquitoes. I can stay outside my hostel without any mosquito bite, now that its spring. When I asked my Nigerian friend here in the campus why these rodents and insects like house flies are not here, he just sarcastically said 'why would they be here, Nigeria is their home". I was rushing to kill a rare specie of mosquito I saw one day in my room and my European room mate started laughing,.. "ur gonna get malaria" I intoned, 'no no, there is no maalaariaa here, that insect doesnt give maalaaria, it doesnt bite, he quipped. What have we done in that part of the world with politicians carting this money away in billions? Yet we see all sort of big cars and other luxuries among the people everyday. |
The earlier Africa unites the better for them. The day a professor here in UN Campus in Italy criticised Kofi Annan over the food scandal was the day I realised the spirit of oneness in Africans; almost all the African students especially those from the western region showed great resentment over the comments. Lets not lie to ourselves, the spirit is there but we would not put it in action. |
I graduated from a state university in Nigeria, and currently running my LLM in Europe, I have spoken to a professor at UNILAG concerning a possible lecturing assistance job while I run a PHD in the school and he answered in affirmative. I am wondering how easy and effective this option could be. |
mine is down with partial stroke while im away in europe planning a similar surprise. God will surely make a name for Himself |
Congratulation for this enviable position! |
Please can someone help me ask the SA government to sack the basta#d at their Lagos Embassy office. That guy sucks. Mcheeeww! |
I was surprised when on Thursday night I walk into a very popular Italian Restaurant and saw them playing Moroco Maduka's song. At first I thought I heard wrongly until after a while I had to ask the DJ who told me that the music is from Nigeria. Meanwhile no Nigerian or even a black person was in the restaurant when I entered. To my surprise, the music played for what looked to me like eternity. Most of the time we do not cherish our own. |
Bla bla bla la la la la !!!!!!!!!! cant wait to see ur pictures |
I dont think theres any profit made on the book. the price has remained static for a long tyme |
ceejayluv:Sì il mio uomo, siamo buoni come siamo |
whats the fuzz about the godamn language. 95% of the people here in Italy dont speak English and they don't give a damn about it. |
Negotiation ke, Government should declare war on BH, the american style. Spew out these islamic charlatans and kill them |
Administrator, pls could you put this on the front page. I need to have this puzzle solved |
Hell! all the tom dik and hary here are on one scholarship or the other. The PHD students look like teenagers, still on one research grant or the other- erasmus, various European countries' foreign ministries scholarship, etc. The number of scholarship amazes me. You can see a single Nigerian on one including myself. Are we cut off from the world or something? |
Let me say this raw truth: The calibre of the police force Nigeria has is not such that can fight the least organised crime. I have worked closely with the police for 2 years b4 i left for europe. Have u ever engaged a police man in a conversation not just on the issue of BH but on general crime issue, not the rank and file but a senior police office, you will imagine if he even acquired the basic education. It is sad but this is the truth about the Nigeria police. This men are grossly ineficient and sadly too, very corurrupt. How can you use this bunch of people to fight organised crime. Do you know that an average nigeria policeman does not know his right from left. This is sad. |
