smatadex: Good day everyone
Thanks for all you do, please I have a question. I was told it will cost between 12m-15m for family of 4 to apply for UK study visa. Me as a sponsor, my wife as a student and 2 kids as dependance. How true is this please? Thank you. There is no fixed price bro. It depends on tuition fees of your school, location (within or outside London) and many more. Check the first page for information. |

Teeboi3611: Sorry can someone with a Lower credit HND apply for the May pre master for 2023 intake for either London or Birmingham? Apply for Masters directly as it is cheaper especially if you have considerable experience. Last year, they gave 2000 automatic discount so your tuition fee might be 9750 pounds just like last year. Even if you don't get direct Masters admission, you will be given the extended Masters admission if your application is solid. |

YinkBim: Hi all,
I got an offer for a one-year BSc top-up course, cos I applied with my HND certificate then and I want to know if I will be able to move in with my dependants.
I also want to know if I'm eligible for Post study work visa after the one year top-up course You are ineligible to bring your dependents on either student or post-study work visa. However, you can do post-study work visa. Check for schools that accept MSc directly with HND. Check nairaland for the lists. |

First I’m applying to university of hull for masters program 2 years duration, the tuition fee is 10k but I want to know if the 10k covers the 2 years or I’d have to pay 10k yearly? It could be 10k yearly meaning a total of 20k pounds. It could be 10k for the two years but I doubt it? Post the course website link so we can help you check? |

HenryG: Thanks for this. Do international students on HCPC courses in line with NHS qualify for IHS refund then? Or the IHS refund is only meant for workers? International students on any course qualify as long they work with the NHS or care homes certified with the CQC. You must work an average of more than 16 hours a week to qualify. As an international student, you are eligible to work 20 hrs term time and full time (any hours) off term. |

HenryG: You have spoken my mind. Let me contribute in the little way I can. MSc Biomedical science in UK Universities is not recognized to register as a professional member of HCPC except only in one university I think in Manchester Metropolitan Uni and of course, it is loaded with lots of applications and registration closes on time. Only BSc Biomedical science is quite recognized in every universities by HCPC. I applied for MSc Biomedical science in several universities before I got this. I got an offer for Biomedical science in University of Salford for Jan intake but had to let it go. Why? Because of life after school in the UK is not certain with the course. Being able to register with HCPC after school is the ultimate goal. There are highly demanded HCPC courses such as Diagnostic Radiography, Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Chiropodist, podiatry, mental health nursing, adult nursing etc that are offered as Masters Pre-registration (2years) with annual 5k NHS support. On completion of anyone of these, you are so very good to go with registration with HCPC and getting job in a company that can sponsor your work visa as quick as possible. Also, being able to work at the average of band 5 or 6 salary grade (around 24k to 36k p.a) I presently have another offer in Masters in Global Public Health in Anglia Ruskin Uni but I seriously pray eachday that I get offer in some of these HCPC demanded courses that I have applied for. So, there are numerous schools that I think are good to apply to but kindly check on HCPC website if the course you want to apply for is approved by them in that school. Keep Fighting! Absolutely correct about HCPC. However, the 5k annual NHS support is only for UK/EU student eligible for UK student finance. International students are ineligible so don't budget on it. |

Igbamatigbi: Hello,
I have been in UK for one year on a 2 years masters program, I want to know if there’s any student that has applied and gotten a IHS refund, not dependants please.
I have worked in social care which is under CQC but am not sure if I qualify as an international student to ask for the refund? Thanks Many students have received IHS refund. You are eligible for IHS refund as a student if you work with the NHS or Care home certified by the Care Quality Commission. To apply, you must work over an average of 16 hrs a week and have evidence of payslips of working in the above sector for at least 6 months consecutively. Your IHS should be in accordance to your visa. Your dependants are also eligible for refund. Include them in your application. You will need to apply every 6 months to get paid. Apply through here: https://www.gov.uk/apply-immigration-health-surcharge-refund/healthcare-setting. |

Munamoqel: quote author=ednut1 post=117233926]LONDON, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Britain has too many low-skilled migrant workers and very high numbers of international students, who often brought dependents with them, the country's new interior minister Suella Braverman said in an interview with The Sun on Sunday newspaper.
Braverman said new Prime Minister Liz Truss's government aimed to stick to a 2019 election pledge to lower net migration in an interview ahead of the ruling Conservative Party's annual conference.
Finance minister Kwasi Kwarteng said on Sept. 23 that the government was looking to review immigration policy as part of an attempt to boost growth, following complaints from business groups that post-Brexit rules were too restrictive, especially for low-paid jobs.
However, Braverman said reducing migration was an aim shared by all of Truss's senior ministers.
"What we've got is too many low skilled workers coming into this country," she said. "We've also got a very high number of students coming into this country and we've got a really high number of dependents."
"Those people are coming here, they're not necessarily working or they're working in low-skilled jobs, and they're not contributing to growing our economy," she added.
Since January 2021, most workers must be paid at least 25,600 pounds ($28,570) a year for an employer to sponsor a visa, causing problems for employers in sectors such as agriculture, hospitality and some manufacturing, where lower wages are common.
Numbers of EU workers have fallen, but this has been offset by an increase in the number of non-EU workers, especially from India. Net migration to Britain totalled 239,000 in the year to June 2021, according to the most recent figures from the Office for National Statistics.
Braverman also said she wanted to restrict the ability of migrants to challenge deportation on the basis that they had been subjected to forced labour or human trafficking, known in Britain as "modern slavery". This woman might me worse than Patel. I am having a feeling that she might stop student dependants working full time just like in USA. |

dduchess90: Hello
I will ask one question and leave it at that
The OP that posted the question is she married??
I don't think you understood the question and my response to it
You can also see @Giselle237 and @Gloriyah response to the same question
I actually do take offense @the bolded but I will let it slide
Take your time, go back to the questions raised and read to understand
I also didn't put a figure on married couples but I know evidence submitted will not be months, if it is that easy and simple it will mean people can conduct sham marriages and submit to UKVI knowing each other for months, weeks, days and hours according to your advice
People may have and can get away with it doesn't mean we should encourage it
The OP said the relationship is for 3months and you speak about marriage, are you encouraging sham marriages too?
Your response has nothing to do with the Ops question, everything you said here I know and people know so please don't start an argument that isn't necessary.
It's not difficult to read and understand sha
Cheers If you also check my previous posts, you should know that I only advocate marriage for dependant visa. Also, some marriages are arranged some cultures and tradition like India and Pakistan. Arranged does not mean sham. If you need more clarification, go to google. Some marriages does not involve courtship because of some religious beliefs to prevent fornication. Some involve marrying cousins like in most Asian countries. UKVI are aware of all this multicultural and religious legislations. Stop thinking you must do courtship for an efficient and genuine marriage. That is the scope most guys use to have free sex and no wonder why most guys use and dump so many ladies and becoming baby mamas with no value and self-worth. The emphasis on dependant visa is ensuring your marriage or relationship is still subsisting. |

dduchess90: Hello
Did you read the OPs question??
Even with married couples the evidence provided will span years not months.
It's important we truly understand the question asked before responding
Cheers The 2 years criteria is not applicable for married couples. Stop the argument and dont mislead people. You have even posted the evidence yourself clearly For married couples, submit your marriage cert, pre and post wedding pictures, whatsapp and facebook communication evidence and other proofs to show that your relationship is subsisting. The 2 years rule only applies to the unmarried ones. |

dduchess90: Hello
Unfortunately your relationship is too young to qualify as Dependant partner
It has to be a relationship of minimum 2years
You will need to provide certain evidence to show you have been together randomly selected for over 2years
So it could be bills, bank statement, investments, tenancy agreement etc
UKVI will verify what needs verification and they know how to do so
Here's a screenshot of an example of what could be provided
Cheers (quote author=BeatriceM1 post=117193929] Hi He has gotten his admission already and is waiting for CAS. The relationship is like 3months What evidence would they need to confirm the relationship?
Plus I just want to know the cheapest school to apply for and the course relevant for a Sociology graduate in case that one doesn't work out. The 2 years is only applicable if the partner are not married. The 2 years evidence is also applicable if u are in the UK and desire to apply for leave to remain. For married couples, you only need evidence your marriage is subsisting and marriage certificate. There is no timeframe as some religions do not permit courtship. With only marriage certificate, pictures before and after wedding pictures, evidence of honeymoon, Whatsapp and Facebook picture and communication evidence, hotel staying address e.t.c . The dependant will surely get successful visa application as demonstrated in this forum and others. |
