Thanks everyone for your kind words! @dmz- lol, I wish o! My ideal weight is between 60- 63kg. I'm 5ft 4 inches. @Modath: the days I do over two hours workout I do take a break. I do my usual workout dvd first thing in the morning. The power walking I do with a friend later on in the morning, usually Thursdays. We walk at a very fast pace, nearly running and long intentional strides with arms pumping too. We can just about maintain a conversation but I'm usually breathing hard. I feel it in my quads after. That is my version of 'power walking'. We walk nearly 10km in this time. |
Hey Mody! Well done. I agree about BFBM being a killer and if you look at my prev posts I actually only attempted to do other workouts straight after it for one week only! Mehn it was just sheer determination. At least when you do that workout you know you have indeed paid your dues cardiowise that day lol !On another note, I have managed to lose 4kg (8.8lbs) this month of October, yipee !!I started at 74kg on 1/10 and today 31/10 I stepped on the scales and now weigh 70kg! Also i recorded nearly 2000 mins of workouts for this month. So going forward in November, more of the same however I want to focus on my nutrition a lot more as this is an area I wasn't so consistent with in October. Portion control, self control and healthier choices. So lets continue into the new month with renewed motivation! |

Porridge oats - I make 40g of oats with water then top with 1/2 a chopped banana, 2 prunes ( dried fruit like Dates), 2 chopped up almonds/ walnut/brazil nut and a handful of blueberries/strawberries (basically whatever fruit I have available), then add a dash of milk ( approx 1 tbsp) to make it creamy. Any fruit topping should be good. Makes it more nutritious and tasty. Some people stir in peanut butter into the porridge but one has to be careful with the calories. |

Sunday 27th October Jog/Walk intervals (jog 3 mins, walk 1 mins) - 51 mins in total Great stuff Agaby, HG and Baroba! Waves @ Modath. As per the BFBM workout, there are no weights used in this workout o! It's pure cardio from the first minute to the 54th lol. Are you sure you don't mean her NMTZ cos that's the strength one using weights. The BFBM is really intense cardio divided into 7 circuits (with circuit 6 being a killer) but great calorie burn as Baroba mentioned. A great week is ahead of us! |

Here’s to carrots, and shin splints, and sweat shirts, and perseverance, and sore muscles, and stinky socks, and 7 am conditioning class, and falling down, and getting back up. Water Sometimes when you think your body is saying I need more food its actually telling you it needs more water. But if we keep giving it food because we think were still hungry we overeat because were trying to fill what's missing and we eat until were stuffed and though we had fun eating we feel miserable afterwards and still don't feel quite satisfied. Reward your successes. All too often we only reflect upon our failures and neglect to acknowledge our triumphs! For example, if you have lost 10 pounds in a month but then go a couple weeks without losing, feel guilty, and go on a binge; you are only focusing on the negative. This kind of destructive thinking will leave you feeling hopeless. I want you to look at the 10 pounds you lost and feel proud of that; go out and buy a new workout DVD or pair of running shoes, you deserve it! Then, recognize the small plateau you have hit and make a plan for how to bust through it!! A small slip up here and there does not mean your discipline and self-control is out the window. Reflect back on how to be more consistent with your choices over the long-term and figure out how to adjust and adapt to situations you find challenging. Guys what's happening to this thread o ? It's been too quiet for a while and I'm beginning to feel rather lonely. Not much point in posting here if I'm the only one on the thread. ![]() HG, Agaba, Modath, Yinx- Are we not into posting our workouts anymore? It used to be encouraging to see others post their workouts too but now feels like its a one man band. Anyway, I will give it to the end of this week to post my workouts on here as I frankly don't see the point anymore. As I like to have a record to see my progress and keep me accountable,I will be continuing my logs on my personal diary and other fitness forum I belong to. |

If you're struggling with motivation, try this: Think about how you'll feel in an hour or two if you exercise - energised, happier, more relaxed, virtuous. Then think about how you'll feel if you don't - guilty, fat, lazy, and wound up (those are my feelings, you may feel different!). |

^ Hey Greyfrog, my fitness goal for this month is to complete at least 1000 exercise minutes in October... so far so good. I've not worked out for the past 3 or 4 months so there has been some weight gain. However i recently got my mojo back, got all fired up and decided to tackle it and get back into the swing of working out regularly. I started on the 1st of October so I haven't weighed myself yet. Hoping to by the end of the month. Will update then.So I'm afraid no pics for now! Lol |
