Wednesday: Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism dvd - 54 mins Hey house! Thanks so much for your well wishes regarding my sons health. We thank God he is back to full health. So I've been struggling to get back on track with my workouts as can happen when one takes a break. But today I dragged my lazy arse off the bed and dug out my Jillian dvd and I'm glad I did! I feel great after working out- missed that feeling. Glad to see some faces again (winks back at Yinx lol!) nice one. Mody glad your back too. HG keep at it babe! Hope this weeks more interesting. t.o.m weight fluctuations sucks, I keep away from scales as much as poss nowadays.. Agaba nawa for injuries o, anyway two weeks will soon fly by.. |

@HG: I dey o. My son was admitted to hospital for the past few days, praise God he is discharged now and better. It was a very stressful period. Obviously my focus was on him getting better so any workout regime was on hold.. In the meantime food has been good or even non existent as stress took my appetite. Glad to hear you are keeping the faith. Will be back soonest. |

Friday: Jogging and sprinting - 37 mins, (4.2 km) Running total workout minutes for May : 122 mins @Yinx: whats up now?, been quite from your end... It's Friday house! TGIF!! I'm doubly excited as I'm off to a ladies spa day tomorrow, yippee! No kids, no hubby, no house chores, cooking etc...just me and ma girls taking off to enjoy enough pampering, massages, facials and relaxations, bring it on! lol |
Thursday: Jillian Michael's BFBM dvd - 50 mins Jillian Michael's 'Killer Bun and Thighs' dvd - 35 mins Total workout minutes for May so far: 85 mins @hg: I'm really not sure what was different this time tbh...the only change I can think of is that I don't weigh myself weekly anymore,I even don't weigh every two weeks. More like once a month. I just go by how my clothes feel on me mainly. I think the frequent weighing gave me that 'sabotaging' mentality especially if I didn't see much difference on the scale. I feel for now my head is just in the right place, sometimes this thing is more of a mind frame thing. Logging workouts on the thread definitely helps me too even just to look back and see my logs and the consistency. |
^ thanks jare, even I can't believe I've been working out consistently for over a month, usually by the third week I've begun to lose focus! Long may this last ![]() @Hg: oh yeah, Jillian's BFBM workout is the bomb! Just got it and love it. I'm really digging her workouts at the moment! Girl we got to rock this month fitness wise.., I'm also going to keep track of my exercise minutes and kilometre's run for this month and 'celebrate' this at the end of the month. ![]() |

Till I find what suits me... U shld give it a shot too, but use ugu... And its also fillingThe ugwu one sounds like it would be good, lovely and dark green. I can't get hold of ugwu easily so I'd have to make do with spinach. Will give it a go! |

Hour_Glass: How dey go dey go na? I think I am finally out today and I did well with with more than an hour of resistance/strength training and my 17 minutes interval jump rope. I am truly happy to be back on my feet. I also did some 35 minutes walk on Tuesday too, (I actually forced myself to do it).^ glad to read this HG! Yay your back, amen to this week being the best..go girl! @Greyfog: welcome to the thread Yeah this is where we are at, logging our stuff.. As per the food battles, maybe you could try logging your daily food intake on here. It might help keep you accountable and make you mindful of your food choices knowing you'd have to log it on here at the end of the day? Your workouts look great by the way nice variety. Keep it up and with the food in check you shld start to see some loss.Wishing everyone a really great week ahead! |
Sunday: Jogging - 56 mins Cooldown walk and stretch - 9 mins I achieved a new mile stone this morning with my workout. I jogged neary 1 hr non stop! I'm so pleased with my fitness progress so far as there was a time not too long ago that even doing 15 mins non stop jogging was a task for me. Now I can comfortably jog for 25- 30 mins. But today I pushed past that and nearly doubled my time. Didn't know I had an hours jog in me when I started... I'm always amazed at the human body, when you push it, it will respond. |

^^ um I don't usually post my food routine on here, though I tried it for a while recently but it got tedious as I also log my food and exercise on another site. If its going to be helpful to others then I could consider posting again but the regular folk on here are quite seasoned in this game so for now I just post my workouts mainly for me to see my progress and keep me accountable. Happy to say my food intake has been under control both in portion size and quality of food so this has complemented my workouts that I'm now seeing positive changes in my body but not scale hopping till next week at the earliest! ![]() |
