Music/Radio / Re: Afrobeat Is Nothing, Lacks Substance- Burna Boy by Babysho(m): 4:26pm On Aug 26, 2023 |
There are some atom of truth in what he has said especially if he includes himself as being from time to time a partaker of the disempowerment of afrobeats but props to him as even his low quota of music synonymous to our reality is still the highest in the music industry. The origin of fela’s afrobeats was 90% political issues and 10% flenjour. Our reality is the same as back then but somehow we’re having 90% flenjour and 10% political music. How has this happened? If you asked me I'd say the political elites realised how powerful music can be and as a precaution, they've weaned and filtered out the true political or rebellious sounds to the sewers, pushing forward the garbage we have now. It didn’t happen by randomness, someone put conscious effort into making it so. If you’re looking for music close to our reality, please stream and listen to my song O.Z - Stalemate on audiomack https://audiomack.com/ozencore/song/stalemate Please like and comment on the song❤️❤️ 2 Likes 1 Share |

madone: Would the lady not be controlling? Will she not demean the man in every way possible when there's a little misunderstanding? Man is wired to have pride in providing food for his family. I don't know but I don't think it ends well if it's a dominant man. The man will have to have very low self esteem and confidence for it to work. Men committing suicide are actually dominant men but not enough to dominate and they have my respect, as it takes a lot of balls to commit suicide. It’s natural selection, only the strongest of the strongest survive. Not in any form supporting suicide btw. I just believe if you can’t help a man be his best self, don’t ask him not to take his life. |

Skyview01: Because there's oil money. They'll use it to buy food, thereby giving something that isn't special and grows everywhere in the world same value as oil. Is that not foolishness? That was how one fool was arguing with me on here that he'd rather have us do oil than agriculture. I knew then that some Nigerians' bodies are moving faster than their brains due to the effects of colonialism. The necessities of man is FOOD WATER and SHELTER not OIL. All over the world, countries get at least one or two right, maybe just some like the Nordic countries get all three right and it's no surprise these countries are the most peaceful in the world. When you have 2 or 3 of those necessities easily, everybody mind go rest. Na only Africa no get any one o. Last necessity na air, thank God say e no dey our African leaders hand, na for museum white people for dey go look black people skeleton by now. |

Taylor90: (1)But even if each tribe had their own country, there will come up the issue of religion. Muslim versus Christian. If each religion in each tribe decided to break and have their own country, there will come up the issue of accent/tone because as a Yoruba I can tell you there are many Yoruba-ish Languages I don't understand a single word they say. If they all decided to form little settlements because I'm sure at that point they can't be called countries again, they might become too weak to defend themselves and they'll be conquered and back to square one. (2)Land sharing (for oil) will surely lead to a great civil war. How do we overcome these challenges? |

DECENTBWOY: Na so my own alcohol addiction start 😅 "I just won sleep, I just won sleep" The best suggestion is for you to workout right before bed. And I mean serious workout. Push ups till failure, squats till failure, if you have dumbbells curls till failure. Na your body go dey beg you for sleep and na you go beg am to wake. And you can download Bob Ross's painting videos on YouTube, no ads or sounds. They're very relaxing and can help provide a sleeping routine. |

oldienavie: I think we need to increase the volume. Since we all concluded that white people came to Africa to exploit us and the very first thing they came with was Christianity, maybe Nigerian Christians should plus 2+2. Why would your opppresors introduce you to a religion with an almighty God that could empower you, the oppressed!!?? There's a God, yes, but I think people need to find him themselves in their own spirituality not through men or sheets of paper. Let them do fast o, so all of us can gain a new level of consciousness and fight the govt wey dey make you wake 4:30am to speak in tongues. We no pass like 1k for naija wey inner eyes don open. And lastly, I don't believe in asking God to do things for me. I prefer to thank him for what I can do myself. |

(1) Living in the moment - When you’re with your favorite people be it friends or family, the inside jokes, no phones, no checking of time, time flies - those moments are pure bliss. I used to take it for granted when I was younger. Very therapeutic. 10/10 (2) Sufficient Funds - As an adult, having just about enough money to pay all my bills and even change remaining gets me in good moods. I blame capitalism for this feeling. 4/10 (3) Entertainment And Art - Food, Music, Literature, Books, Orgasms, Nature, Comedy, Sports And Movies are just everything. Can be therapeutic 9/10 (4) My Face - Superficial, yes but I just really like my face lol Not the best looking but it’s easy to look at. 7/10 (5) Yet to find the last one…love. 3 Likes |

In summary, what he’s saying is he has confidence in Tinubu because he’s a Yoruba man and will like his own share of the national cake soonest! 😂 How come Dele Farotimi's segments on Arise TV where he's clearly telling all Nigerians to forget tribalism and wake up! else they continue to be dehumanized by the govt, how come it isn't making front page? 9 Likes |

Kehinderichard:I have the exact same opinions about Soul. I watched Soul at a period in my life where I was starting to feel really lost in my career and Soul told me to breathe, it told me that it was enough to simply exist and love things and people and it was right. I cried when I watched Soul the first time, Soul spoke to my soul. |
TV/Movies / Re: Animation Lovers, What Animation Are You Watching? by Babysho(m): 8:48am On Jul 17, 2023 |
RobinRay: Yes yes same! I was initially interested in studio Ghibli because of the aesthetics but found the stories are even more compelling. 😂😂 I was reluctant to watch Arcane too until I did and it blew my mind. I really hope S2 is done. Now that you mention it, I'll watch Black Mirror. I didn't even know it is an anthology. Same for me Jibaro in LDR. Undone? I'll check out the trailer. Ahhh you get it! You're a true movie enthusiast! I couldn't have described Bojack Horseman better. The transition cameos of the human-animals is just comedy gold. You never know maybe a bird will fly into a window on its way to work or a cow will serve milk from its udders at a restaurant. And the animal puns are well written too! Free Churo is gut wrenching. "I.C.U? I see you. My mom died and all I got is a free churo" Poor Princess Carolyn, glad things kinda worked out for her in the end sort of. "Of course, of course, of course, this is what you get when you fall for a horse" Oh too bad! Bob's Burgers is the one I watch to really relax or enjoy a Saturday morning. There's always a feel good at the end of each episode, exciting music and the puns and witty remarks are the best I've heard in animation. What's your favourite animated series now? |

Josbreed: We're in the same group 😅, I also started animation with chicken run, a bug's life and Antz. I bet you also watched Arthur And The Invincibles, that movie that became animation when the boy turned small with white hair to meet his grandpa. |

TV/Movies / Re: Animation Lovers, What Animation Are You Watching? by Babysho(m): 9:57pm On Jul 16, 2023 |
RobinRay: Is it weird to say you give me goosebumps?😅 I also have watched virtually all studio Ghibli, Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle, Castle In The Sky, Ocean Waves, Arietty, Spirited Away, When Marnie Was There, Princess Kaguya, The Wind Rises, My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Monoke, Whisper Of The Heart, Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind, Kiki's Delivery Service, Only Yesterday. My favourite has to be Spirited Away and Only Yesterday; it's even my NL profile pic. Arcane was finely done! It's a bummer that they discontinued it! I have a feeling you watched Love Death + Robots too. Family Guy is just squeezing what's left at this point. I can't even believe there'd be a Nigerian watching Tuca and Bertie like I do! I absolutely love animations with animals in it for some reason lol I think the animal related comedy is fresh + Tuca And Bertie is very colourful and realistic somewhat until Tuca does something crazy 😂. Favourite episode is Season 2 Episode 4. Bojack Horseman. My favourite TV show of all time. I obsess over Bojack Horseman. I watched Bojack Horseman so much that I even finish their sentences most of the time. "Mr Peanut Butter and Bojack Horseman in the same room, what is this, a cross over episode?" My favourite episode, hard to pick one but it's Fish out of Water, season 3 episode 4. Favourite character Todd Chavez. After Bojack Horseman, for me is Bob's Burgers. You should watch The House, animated anthology movie. 1 Like |

Benjaniblinks: Yoo putting Rango and Ratatouille up there shows you're a man of culture 👏🏾. I learnt to play Le Festin on my guitar because of Ratatouille. I still rewatched Rango for the 20th time just last month and as for Ratatouille I watch that every month 😅 "Anybody can cook!" My top 7 Meet The Robinsons (I love time travel) Ratatouille Fantastic Mr Fox Flushed Away Big Hero 6 Wreck It Ralph Surf's Up I love Soul 2020, and it should make the list but I think in the near future is when I'd really love it, when I'm nostalgic about it. |

obailala: That’s a whole different discussion as you’d have to give me realistic details on how you want to fund both projects. The topic is NNPCL to construct another gas pipeline only and you’re in support and I’m saying I’d rather we focus on Agriculture with that money. These countries were well established in agriculture, some using our kind as slaves on plantations years before embarking on oil exploration. You appear like a breathing symptom and possibly victim of exploitative capitalism and you’re allowed to have your opinion. I reckon knowledge on economic evolution and African history would have served you greatly. If you think this is the way, great then! Enjoy purchasing food items in dollars or food inflation. |
