Mr President has done well by this provisional increment in workers' salaries across the Nation. In the past few months this man accended the throne, he has demonstrated to Nigerians that he truly has a listening ears and has the interest of everyone at heart. Without tribal or political sentiments, Tinubu is a leader Nigerians need at this trying time.

Haba! Your self esteem is so low that someone doing the least is good enough for you. You're weak. The interest of the political elites at heart you mean? The first place Tinubu turned to to look for money is from the already poverty-stricken masses by removing subsidy despite the several oil thieving allegations in Buhari's govt. He didn't even do oju aye and act like he'll go after them.

Tinubu is not the leader Nigeria needs ever, neither is Peter Obi. We must all become leaders in our own way by organising, resetting the values and deciding how we want the country to be. Follow Movement Of The People on Instagram for more information.

Tinubu is not like some state governors who owe their workers.
Even without federal allocation, he still managed the huge labour force of lagos.
Till date lagos state pensioners are more guaranteed of being payed than even FG pensioners.

It's a very positive from he the president, except Labour wants him to make it 100k while the dollar continues its free fall making the 100k more worthless than it can ever be.

And yes, the president is in a toggle to pay these cash while also managing inflation.
We should give accolades and hope for more not just destructive criticism when you can't proffer even 50% solution.

Nigerians sha! Everybody's acting like they don't know the solution. The thieves in the government are the reason for the inflation. The solution to the suffering is for government to cut down on waste and invest in the labour market and agriculture but our capitalists will not have it. They'd rather ask you poor proletariat to suffer some more.

Birniwa:
For a family of four like myself, 500k looks good. Below is how I break it down, on monthly basis.

Food and other provisions - 100k
Rent - 30k
Domestic Water - 10k
Drinking Water - 15k
Electricity - 10k
School fees for two kids (after taking average as 1st term is always higher) - 45k
Car Fueling and Maintenance - 75k
Cooking Gas - 9.5k
Contributory, Gift and Charity - 30k
Clothing - 30k
Occasional Outing With Family - 15k
Medicals - 15k
Save for the rainy day - 50k
Online Skills Learning - 10k
Internet and cable subscriptions - 15k

My expenses on monthly basis are to the tune of N429,500

If you think this is too high, just know that every individual cuts their suit according to their size. Moreover, if this appears too little to barely cater for your monthly provisions, I pray one day I match this type of stability and beyond.

Childfree:

To be honest, had it been my friend is on nairaland and he saw what you wrote he'll definitely say it is me. Though I less care about some of your concerns.

That is off-grid living and homestead Life. Check out on YouTube and tick-tock to see people living this dream life they prefer.

This is the kind of life I also want.

For me life should be about living, not living to work. I don't subscribe to the 9 to 5, or the work work life that I see people doing. The only necessity in life is food, every other thing are just man's creation. As it is I am not even interested nor do I want the dream wants of the average persons out there; wealth, cars, mansions, alot of money... And the likes.

All I want is to get away from the city and the problems associated with it. The villages also have their problems so I also want to be away from it.

Live in the middle of nowhere in my tiny house. Live a sustainable kind of lifestyle and practice homesteading. Be happy and free.

Unfortunately I am finding it hard to see how it would be possible in this country with the insecurity and the number of bad people roaming about. I am considering moving to Kenya or Ghana.

PS; also in my late 20s.

I wonder what settings are in our frontal lobe that makes people like us think and feel this way about life. I bet you also notice little things in our earth like birds, flowers, rain, sunset...etc that does nothing for other people.

Brother, go find that genuine happiness in this bastardized capitalist world. Go to Kenya. I too have spent hours on youtube watching white people build cabin houses in the middle of nowhere and just engage with nature 24/7 as we were supposed to, its always very satisfying.

In my opinion, in homes, homesteading should be passed down from generation to generation. How to make textile, clothing, how to farm and preserve food should be taught to both male and female kids in the household. These are survival skills instead na phone them put for our hand. I'll not make that mistake with my kids.

I was very serious about going off grid 2 years ago but now I don't know if the dream is still achievable but I really hope you go for it.

According to my phone’s data history. The app has the most data usage.

Hold on, and do you use safari often for it to be so or you feel Safari is consuming extra data than it should.

It's Safari as well here but I do use in downloading iso files for my ppsspp but the data consumed I'm seeing sometimes exceeds what I downloaded.

Guy you annoy me to the point wey be say I grind my teeth, didn't know internet comments could do that to me. And I've found its not your comment per se, it's that there are still people like you who are on the lowest level of consciousness who side with their oppressors in 2023.

Nobody stop me from owning means of production? Then where's my land at birth? Where's my loan from the bank at reasonable interest rate? Where's my seat at the org where rich people like Dangote and Otedola owe us billions of dollars!

"Other countries" use all sort of different methods to control prices of their goods. They even set up publicly owned organisations just to compete with certain industries because you always have to check capitalism, it's very exploitative in nature.

In the end, I can't blame you. Our govt have completed the full cycle of oppression and doublespeak. They've purposely excluded subjects that's supposed to raise your consciousness from your syllabus.

I have an assignment for you, go read all the books on CLASS CONSCIOUSNESS you can find on Google. The solulu to your delulu is in a book, black man.

I don't think people are actually reading this or understanding. They're going to orbit the moon just so they can create art to inspire people. This is going to cost billions of dollars in a world where poor people all over can't have food to eat. Gotta love capitalism.

Taxing rich people that own our means of production, natural resources and our ports in a country where prices of goods are not regulated.

In the end, the rich people will increase the cost of their goods and the poor people will suffer.

I hate Nigeria.

He is only a journalist and sn anonymous one. Currency is only backed by durable things and not perishable commodities like cassava and presently no currency is actually backed as gold locked in bank vaults is meaningless. It has no effect on anything. Currency is backed by the people who have no choice but to accept it and by nothing else. Inflation is the rate of printing new currency and Nigeria does it a lot as a form of back door taxation.

When you say inflation is the"rate" of printing new currency, do you mean rate as in cost or rate as in frequency?

Football betting you involve all logic, psychology and intelligence minus emotions and you will win your bet

In a game like this

Liverpool is supposed to win but what about fatigue 😩.
This players fit don worn out unto tiredness which might lead to rotating of players
So be careful of giving them straight wining

Same thing with mancity
They are tired already

So give them win or draw

Then for Chelsea vs Brighton! Don't give Brighton straight wining or else you might lose your money because psychologically Chelsea is a wounded cobra now due to thier defeat in recent games....so they are coming out like a wounded cobra with the aim to give Brighton problem

So stake Chelsea to win or draw

Liverpool now have enough quality players in their second 11 who are well rested. Easy straight win don’t waste odds.

Newcastle still haven’t figured out how to play Man City. Easy win for City.

I agree with Chelsea as Brighton is a team with fatigued players as Europa will take its toll. Chelsea 1X

I can tell everything about you by how you lay emphasis on alphabets like H (H-factor) or rolling the R in words eg calling producer as prrrroducer 😭😭😂😂 nothing good can come out of this kind of people.

I can tell a little about you if your tooth is broken, you are probably reckless.

If you have a scar somewhere obvious, you probably have a lot of responsibility in life.

I can tell you might be a rude person if your voice is either too loud or too low.

Lastly, just by a person's strut, I can absolutely tell what the person's vibe is.

Nigerians youths are bunch of jokers!
You did not protest fuel from #190 to #617, did not protest doubling of school fees, did not protest rigging of elections et all but protesting this one that looks like bad choices

The Nigerian Youth is now worse than the American youth. Follow-Follow won kill them. This TikTok generation are very generic and very shallow minded. They are always clapping for the wrong reasons.

That was how last time they came out to “endsars” amidst rising food prices, terrible living conditions, corruption etc. I stand my ground till today that it is because the youths want to do “yahoo yahoo” without any consequences is why they wanted to “endsars”. It was the least of our problems yet they came out in droves and the govt gave them their mumu endsars.

I wonder if these youths had channeled that energy into something like ‘reduce inflation’ or ‘stop corruption’ ‘lower senators/gov/president salaries’, we’d definitely have a better Nigeria today.

Sucks to lose Mohbad but where’s the energy for the other pressing issues is all I ask. A wiser protest that’ll also assist Mohbad is an insecurity in Nigeria protest cause clearly our security agents are not doing their jobs for both celebs and the masses.

I’ve been thinking seriously about this as a man in my late 20s. Having grown up in Lagos, at 14 I already had a mobile phone so now I’m trying to convince myself that I can live without electricity and screens but I don’t think I’m winning.

Albeit, sometimes, I find myself longing for the peaceful lifestyle of waking up to the sound of birds and breeze from trees, organic foods at my disposal and most importantly nobody fit rush me. I don’t have to meet any stupid deadlines. The only work is farming/poultry and I actually enjoy that.

My secondary worry is females. Since all the girls leave the village to go to the city for better lives, no be only grandmas go dey?

In summary my dream life would be having a home in a thick forest that leads to a waterfall, a woman to keep my company, a little DIY gym and healthy farm/poultry that’s enough to feed like 10 people. So I can eat chicken and fruits everyday.
