Politically, they've relegated themselves in the scheme of things. Presently, no Igbo man enjoys wide acceptability (across board) in Nigeria. As such, no political party will present an Igbo man as presidential candidate.

They've probably seen the handwriting on the wall. IPOB's activities will only make it difficult for a popular candidate to emerge winner. However, election will hold and a winner announced.

Elections must hold. Else, the already tensed atmosphere becomes highly volatile. And unfortunately, under such conditions, popular candidates usually don't win, thus further complicating things.

Whats been done is very necessary. The police is being proactive and aiming to contain any security breach that might arise before, during or after the elections.

Do you know that many Igbos and non Igbos residing in the SE are not in support of IPOB and Biafra? And they have constitutionally enshrined right to move, vote (and be voted for), associate (and not to associate)? And you can't "force" anyone to sit-at-home. And finally, do you know that basic responsibility of any govt is to protect lives and properties of her citizens?

And what do you hope to achieve with this? And at what cost? The truth is, IPOB and whoever is supporting them is approaching this course from a very wrong angel. Biafra can never be achieved this way. It will only turn the SE to a war torn region.

This is one subtle threat IPOB shouldn't take likely. I just pity the innocent ones that maybe caught in the onslaught.

All these will really backfire on the SE. If all these continues, security forces will be very actively involved in the election and APC will likely win.

This will further enflame the region and bring more harm to it. IPOB seem not to be very tactical in its approach. The Igbos should pray Biafra doesn't come through IPOB.

One thing that is very clear is that the Yoruba are the most accommodating tribe in Nigeria; no one can deny that. However, what have we got in return - hate and envy especially from the Igbos. The Hausa/Fulani are suspicious of the Youruba but they do not hate the Yoruba. The are also accommodating to the Yorubas.

The Edo/Isekiri/Urhoro are siblings to the Yorubas even though they have their own identity. The Efik/Ibibio are somewhat indifferent to the Yoruba but that is fine. The Igbos outright hate the Yoruba and it is time Yorubas become very conscious of this hatred.

Everyday they are castigating Tinubu, Fayemi and Osinbajo; and other potential Yoruba presidential candidates. The other day they were calling Yoruba women undesirable and dirty. All of them were hating on Peter Okoye for marrying a “dirty Yoruba woman” - a woman who is more educated and exposed than anyone in their generation. They insult the same Lagos where they live - why don't they just go back to Onitsha and Aba.

They insult anything Yoruba- from Anthony Joshua, Wizkid, Tiwa and everything Yoruba. These insults are not unnoticed. Yoruba will not forget and will surely retaliate!

This is quite commendable. However, Yorubas remain the most tribalistic people in Nigeria. If you're talking about the most accommodating tribes, then you have to give it to the South southerners and maybe the Igbos too
