I do agree with OP to a reasonable extent, the argument or conversation if you will could be looked at from this angle, Nowadays people do try to merge the traditional culture and western culture. Traditional, bills are mainly the role of the guy and the lady takes care of the family and her man. while in the western culture that's not the same. Couples contribute money to buy a house, car and split the bills, wife pay electric bills, husband pays water bills e.t.c

The problem in Nigerian society is trying to copy to the westernized version of marriage of which the roles, understanding and perception of marriage in those 2 cultures are very different and do not blend, this is a huge problem.

Just to clarify this happened in Seattle Washington. None of the people involved are Nigerians.
Usually the U.S have this splitting cost mentality. You give someone a ride, its expected they give you gas money. Or if your travlling with your girlfriend she have to contribute gas money if flying you split the cost of flight, hotels e.t.c with her. So i kinda understanding the host asking for $

I would like to share a story and would like to get your opinion on it. My buddy's birthday was last weekend, he invited everyone as usually, at the birthday another mutual friend proposed to his girlfriend. The host was very irrate on why the guy should do that without consulting him first, we had to hold him down back stage to avoid disrupting the whole events.

Now here is the problem, the host wants his friend to pay 50% of the expenses since he shared the day with him, the other refused to give him a penny .

My opinion was that though the other guy messed up by not informing the host of the intention, he should act like an adult and give him sth to cover expenses but not exactly 50% ... Could be more or less. Some people were very angry at the guy that proposed and said that they dont agree on my opinion, they would have insisted on the 50% or more.

The game looked like it was fixed. Reasons.
1. Germany's lackluster perfomance.
2. The penalty against U.S.A is a red card offense but referee showed the player yellow.
3. The penalty against Germany was not a penalty rather a free kick. The foul was committed outside the box and German players did not protest the decision not even the player that was booked and the goal keeper .
4. Refusal of the Germany's bead coach to make a sub, she brought in an injured player in 79 or was it 80th minute. Still have 2 subs on the bench even when the team was trailing and some players looked like there were tired.

Anyways nothing concerns me but i was very disappointed.
