standby: It's good to look at the circumstances around a situation before jumping to the conclusion that it superstition.
1. The dead woman was lying in d open. If she's just an old lady that starved to death, then ppl would have seen her walking to the where she died but nobody did. 2. This happened in broad daylight so nobody can claim she walked to d place n died during d night. 3. Look at d sheer number of people who have taken to the media to broadcast this n who claim to b eyewitnesses. If u've bn studying d trends u'll realize that this is truly unique.
Even if u aren't superstitious you've got to admit that d chances that nothing funny took place is very slim indeed. How do you know NOBODY had seen her around the spot before the claim? You probably believe the accuracy of a claim is directly proportional to the number of persons who publicly affirm it. The fact that the overwhelming majority believe the tale without seeing her change, or without asking questions and they spread it too, doesn't mean the tale is true. There are countless stories and assertions believed by the majority that turned out to be false. From demonic calls that make the receiver drop dead, to bathing with salt water to kill Ebola virus, to claims of people turning into goats or tubers of yam in broad daylight after touching something. It's a superstitious society, there is nothing new about such claims. It's not unique. |

Smh... So if a guy can barely feed himself he should marry anyway and start having kids?
You guys make noise about marrying early like everyone would be ready at the same age. Or maybe it doesn't matter to you whether they are ready or not, after all you wouldn't be soaking garri with them or settling their fights.
It's better you don't marry at all than get married and then kill each other in a fight or try getting a divorce shortly after.
Mind your own business and let people marry when they wish. |

I ran down as soon as I heard. I thought you said you SAW THE INCIDENT. Now it has turned to someone you know that saw it. Typical! Make up your mind which it is jare. |

Oga, believe what you have to believe and I believe what I have to believe but that doesn't mean that what I believe is fiction. na wa o. How does beheading someone for whatever reason prove that people can change to animals? Unlike your witchcraft, when a person is beheaded, there is plenty evidence left behind. Evidence that people THINK rituals work, not evidence that it ACTUALLY works. |

Myfinewine: It happened today. Because I drove pass that crowd at Agip road. The traffic was much because of the event that occurred. Witches are real Tell me, what happened? A crowd gathered because they HEARD that someone changed from a bird, or a crowd gathered because they SAW someone change from a bird? Which? The only definite thing that happened is that a crowd gathered. A crowd isn't a new thing. I wonder how that proves that the woman truly changed when no one truly saw her change. |
Christianity Etc › Re: "Flying Bird Falls & Turns Into A Woman In Port Harcourt" - Lady Claims (Pics) by Bahddo(m): 4:34pm On Mar 30, 2017 |
fabuloz1: Tell me one good reason why one should not believe that humans cannot turn into another creature. Are you approaching this from your personal experience, cause I am sure you have done any research into what men can turn into or from research work you have seen or being engaged with. Ancient Egypt, Babylon, Assyria and Even Greece have writes up on witchcraft and supernatural powers, how much of them have you studied.
Ok there is an organization of witches and wizards in Nigeria and even abroad, have you interviewed them to ascertain if what is being reported is possible?. And Benin city is close by, Youtube and internet is free, you can start a search into Benin to find out if witches are real or not and send daily reports to youtube, you will be very famous if you go, return and disprove all this stories. But until then, you believe you know, but in reality you dont. Bro, I guess you have not seen anything and pray you shouldn't. I like how you dodged the question. It is clear that you have neither seen nor had any solid basis for belief. You just believe it because it is fashionable to do so in your community. One good reason? BECAUSE THERE IS NO CONCRETE EVIDENCE THAT A HUMAN CAN TURN INTO AN ANIMAL. Do you know that there was once a witch hunt in Europe centuries ago? People were killed on suspicions of witchcraft. Europe has moved past all that nonsense now. The way you guys talk of Edo and witchcraft, one would think people transform in to birds and other animals in the streets. Witchcraft is just another excuse for our own ignorance, bad choices and habits. PS: I've lived in Benin for several years, and I don't believe in witchcraft. |

fabuloz1: Don't mind them. They expect everything to be captured on camera. For the fact that they have not experience or heard strange things don't mean they don't happen. They should just pray that non of these should be experienced but for God's sake, don't wade off another person's experience. What one doesn't know, one doesn't know. As simple as that be sincere... Have you personally seen someone change to or from an animal before? I mean, with your own eyes. If you have, when and where? If you haven't, what is your basis for believing that people can change to animals? |

Doctorfitz: Small pikin dey worry u. it's better than being just another old but incredibly gullible mind. You guys are the reason the world thinks Africans have sub-human intelligence. Don't you wonder why it is always "someone said" and "someone saw?" Humans can't turn to birds or vice versa. |

nizelgirl: For those of you doubting it and your in Port Harcourt just come to Agip you will see things by yourself and see her turning back from a bird to human? I'd definitely like to see that, not just a corpse. Record a video of the transformation and put it on YouTube. If there is no proof of transformation, and you didn't even see it happen but believe it, it's a shame how gullible you are. |

African tales by moonlight. That woman is likely destitute and obviously starved to death (if she wasn't beaten to death by the witchcraft-obsessed crowd). You guys give an almost worshipful reverence to 'witches'.
Humans can't turn to birds or other animals at will, same way an incoming call cannot kill someone. |

TinaAnita: Dedicating a product of fornication is one sure way to support and encourage fornication and before you know it other defaulters would expect the same nice treatment
So dedicating a product of fornication doesn't mean anything to you? my dear leave the issue of love. What is wrong is wrong and what has to be done has to be done. It is what it is. Love and forgiveness are not enough reason for one not to serve certain punishment so as to serve as a deterrent to others a product of fornication? Wow! tgmservice: after watching the 6-1 scandal of camp nou am longer interested in this competition as it is predictable barca will win it due to the baking they have from the referees and UEFA nonsense! So there was no UEFA backing last season when they were knocked out by Atletico? PSG is the one you should be mad at for not giving you a chance to gloat over Barca. UEFA did not tie PSG players feet, neither did they score Barca's goals. One team was shitty and the other was supremely determined. End of story. |
