I am not beefing Igbos but as far as am concerned Afonja Doctors dominate the UK hospitals while Igbos dominate American hospitals besides all the best Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria are in the SW so I'll like to say no tribe dominates the medical field but maybe in the area of Engineering I don't really know about that.

Lets not deceive ourselves whether Obama, Cameron or Hollandie wanted Buhari or not, Jonathan would still have lost that election, the better part of the country was ready to change PDP. APC was more of a movement then than a political party. Most people just wanted anything else but Jonathan and PDP not based on ethnicity because the same people voted for Jonathan in 2011.
He was just too weak to address issues in his govt, he ruled Nigeria with kids gloves. He saw people working in his govt as friends instead of Employer to Employee relationship which made them loot the country dry because they saw him as to gentle and weak.

I believe he has learnt his lesson but too late to correct Now.

Jonathan was saying he lost the election because of foreign influence and INEC irregularities. But I say to him Jonathan, even if all these factors didn't come to play, Buhari would still have won. APC was like a movement building up to the 2015 election rather than a Political party. Only the SS and the SE didn't see beyond sentiments. The core North too voted based on sentiments but the SW and the Middle belt voted with their brains at least they were the only two regions that voted in a 60/40 and 55/45 ratio as to others that voted in a 90/10 ratio.

I think its an infrastructural loan from China Exim bank, FG is not getting a physical cash, the loan will be provided to the Chinese Contractors direct from the China Exim bank. so I think it should be approved without delay.

Yorubas and Benin have language links as you would expect from border tribes. A lot of Edos bear Yoruba names and there are words with similar meanings in both languages.

for instance - Eletu Odibo - the title of the King maker in Lagos - is a benin word.


Also, hope you realise that the Obas of Lagos up till Oba Akintoye were buried in Benin

Just like the Oba of Benin used to be buried in Ife.

No Yoruba Oba pays tribute or taxes to Ooni and Alaafin except for the small baales in Ife and Oyo. The likes of Awujale,Alake do not pay tribute to any of them.

Do we need to go back into history on this? The original title of the oba of lagos is ELEKO, before westerners and other factors changed it to Oba.
You see, awori and ijebu are the lagosians, especially the aworis but they dont have one stable king because they were always migrating, trying to find the most stable location around the rivers and lagoon of the area we now know as lagos. But the benin kingdon was expanding into the southwest and found lagos as a good settlement place to launch attack, hence they called d place EKO, meaning where we gather. The warrior oba of benin was the fist ruler of eko after conquering the land but he had to put another to govern and return to his benin kingdom where he is the spiritual head (because, barring any trouble needing his attention outside the kingdom he stays in his palace), hence the title ELEKO of EKO.
But the western world had contact, slave trade, treachery, jazz and you know the rest

Oba Ado was in fact the first Oba of Lagos placed there by the Oba of Benin and he paid tribute and taxes to the Benin Empire. What I am just trying to say is that the Oba of Lagos is occupied by an Awori King and not by a Benin person. Aworis migrated from Ife to that farm settlement named Eko by the Oba of Benin.

The seat of throne in Lagos is a Yoruba Kingship and not Benin. The seat existed long before Oba of Benin conquered Lagos and named it Eko. It was restored to the Yoruba king when the British came there.

There is no grudge nor argument about this, the Seat or throne of Lagos is that of Yoruba not Benin. All Oba of Lagos have always been Yorubas except a period when the Oba of Benin conquered Lagos and placed a representative there till when the British came and restored the throne back to the Yoruba King.

Ask yourselves again GEJ fans what happened to the 22 billion naira contributions raised by friends of PDP after the PDP primaries? Wasn't that enough for the elections? He had to deep another hand into the NPIMS account in the CBN.
