PoliticsRe: Is A Good Dictatorship Better Than A Corrupt Democracy? by bakynes(m): 5:42am On Jan 06, 2016
Mod will really love this thread on the front page. Let people decide whether they want freedom of speech on an empty stomach or a good life with a dictator like Buhari in charge.
PoliticsRe: Is A Good Dictatorship Better Than A Corrupt Democracy? by bakynes(m): 5:36am On Jan 06, 2016
I just pity some people in this country especially these PDP goons who just hate Buhari for no just cause. Some of you haven't travelled to developed countries before and see that Nigeria looks like an 18th century country. I agree with the OP a country like Nigeria needs a God-fearing dictator like Buhari. The Western type of Democracy cannot work for the black Man because of the greed and wickedness we carry. Most of these Arab country don't practice the Western type of Democracy. As much as the west hate Ghaddafi as a dictator, he put things in place in Libya. Cause I don't see how these democracy that is not about the people but people in govt will work. In Dubai, Saudi Arabia they don't practise Democracy but the system works for the good of the people just that the freedom of speech is limited. I will take that over a system that doesn't work where people cannot feed well, cannot have access to good health care with Freedom of Speech. I prefer to live well with limited freedom of speech than freedom of speech with an empty stomach.

PoliticsRe: "Why NASS Won't Allow President Buhari Decide On TSA" - Speaker Yakubu Dogara by bakynes(m): 3:31pm On Jan 05, 2016
My own suggestion is in support of PMB. Let the Head of each arm of Govt be a signatory to the TSA but this arrangement should be subject to change by 2/3 of the arms of Govt that way, no head of any arm of Govt Will be able to manipulate the other arms because we at a stage in this country we need to nib corruption so a single account might just be the solution to that but when our democracy evolves, where the institutions is greater than individuals heading them, when the entire system is accountable and transparent we can revert back to each arm operating it's own seperate account.

I wonder when Ndigbo as a tribe knew where was called Eko or Lagos. When did they start coming to Lagos that they now have mouth to even want to drag Lagos with Yorubas. If Benin people who share the same ancestors with us Yorubas even lay claim to Lagos is still acceptable not Ndigbo who never knew anything called Lagos before the Amalgamation to Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: #tyrantbuhari Now Trending On Twitter by bakynes(m): 7:23am On Jan 03, 2016
All Igbo/SS names aka Jonathanians. We all know our Judiciary needs reform, how else do you explain stealing 4 billions dollars and getting a 10 million naira bail. A man with Treasonable offence granted bail just like that or the Man who diverted funds meant for arms at the battlefield which resulted into soldiers been killed for mutiny and thousands dying in the NE to enjoy freedom and peace all in the name of bail and you want a president who is here to sanitize the system to allow them enjoy freedom. Is that what you people call Democracy? am not surprised you lot dine and whine with corrupt people that was why despite all they did to crumble this nation you still voted them.

war the voice of Ojukwu boomed over the Radio: “Fellow Biafrans,
where will you run? We ran away from Lagos and fled Northern
Nigeria by the thousands. In the battle fields, we ran and allowed
the enemies to advance. Must we also run in our homeland? Face
the enemy and fight him, street by street, house by house. This
is the moment to die for Biafra.” Such powerful oratory. But
Ojukwu didn’t stand and fight, he ran.
Before Ojukwu declared the Biafra independence

this is the same man they call the hero of biafra.... a man who couldn't take a bullet for biafra , ibos are enterprising and innovative but leadership traits only a few of them posses

I just finished watching an earlier interview on Sahara tv wth Mr. kanu & he is an eloquent speaker like ojukwu. but I noted he was talking about killing people in the 'zoo'. like say no b human beings dey the east wey go bear the retaliation , that is the mark of a coward making threats that go beyond the scope of reasoning.

ibos have forgotten anti ibo sentiment realistically began after the coup in which ibo officers rounded up and killed bello , balewa n co. yet ironsi didn't 'sentence the coup plotters ' to death so before u talk about grieviances know that you all started it!
I heard that when Ojukwu was granted state pardon, so he could return to Nigeria, the igbos accepted him with open arms and crowd cheering at his return. A man who told you to die for the biafran course but couldn't do the same but fled and left you to die. You still accepted, welcomed him and came out in mass to welcome him. Smh! for the igbos. My mother told me of how my Grandfather collected rent and kept for his igbo landlord in Ebute-Metta during the war and even sent him money to feed when he complained of eating frogs and lizards. Neighbours called him a fool for doing that and when the war was over he came back to Lagos and eventually evicted my Grandfather before he then built his own house in Shogunle. Igbos will never change fron their stupidity.

To add to your comment, the US is even trying to cripple the fundings of ISIS which is majorly from Oil in Syria. They control 40% of the Oil wells in Syria so that's their major source of funding. So that why the price of oil will continue to dwindle.

Are you sure as at today crude sells for $41 per barrel, or you are just embellishing ur side of story. Its only truth that will save us. Even if GEJ had saved all the money, people like U will still hate him. U hate minorities but U like our crude. GOD will vindicate us soonest.
That is the problem with you people, you think we hate the minority tribes but HELL NO! I don't feel superior to anybody on this earth, I believe God made us all Equally. If you know me in person I don't look down on people if it were possible I could play with a mad Man. Sentiments and Tribalism is you people's problem you just hate anything Hausa/ Fulani or Yoruba. I was a Corper in 2011 and I was there conducting election when people in Ibadan were shouting " we no vote PDP na Goodluck Jonathan we vote for" what does that mean a lot of people had that optimism that a man that said he had no shoes while growing up when he gets there he will remember the poor masses. Alas! he got there and forgot the masses. When we decided to look the way of the other option, you people started saying we hate minority tribe. Abeg make I ask you " na ghost vote for Goodluck Jonathan in 2011 abi?

This Soludo is equivalent to a bastard son of a bingo!

After the way he way he lambasted the last administration, close to the election with his fictitious letters! One would have thought the GEJ administration had no single success, but alas he has come back to swallow his vomit!

Now he claims Reserves should have been $100billion but Nigeria only managed $30 billion! Thank God you agreed the $30 billion was 6times what was there initially! Hahaha!!!

I keep saying it that the GEJ regime did well, but unfortunately lost the support of the people to its poor management of the fuel subsidy saga, coupled with an internationally backed opposition propanganda machinery!

Now we can see for ourselves! Although we also know that this Soludo is looking for food!!!
You are a fool sorry to say, GEJ did well what? May b you were born ystdy I don't know but me I wasn't born ystdy to know that Jonathan put us in this mess that we presently are today. If you confuse simple statements from Soludo, I wonder which school you went to that you don't know Oil price as at 1999 was $15 dollars per barrel and reserves was $5 billion when PDP ( OBJ) came into power and Yaradua left abt $100 billion at a time oil price was around $60 per barrel. Your foolish GEJ now sold oil at about $126 per barrel and still left the reserve at $30 billion.

And you think your barber friend will tell you anything Biafra? He told YOU WHAT YOU WANTED TO HEAR. Simple. However, the issue of IGBOS leaving their businesses to move east is uncalled for. Don't we have businesses in Benin rep, Ghana, south Africa, Gabon, Kenya, etc? The point is, once Biafra is achieved, Nigeria becomes a neighbouring country whereby IGBOS can still run businesses legitimately. ITS NO BIG DEAL.
If there is no peaceful separation, then you cannot be doing business in Nigeria. All igbos will have to return home. Do you think North Koreans and South Koreans do businesses together. We won't sign any bilateral agreement with Biafra so expect any igbo man that stays in Nigeria to be a Nigerian citizen and not a Biafran. If you leave forget about you properties in Nigeria coz biafrans will not be given entry into our country.

Dr Ejike Ignatius Onyia and prince ABC Momoh who are shareholders and Directors in the company are also Northerner right? The Italians who holds a whopping 50% of the company's shares are also northerners abi?

See, you can clamour for whatever country you want, but please, let your agitation be based on truth and not obvious deception. The lies you lots keep pushing out is the reason why you will never get things right.

Revenues from oil exploration in the ND has been used over the years to build roads, schools and other infrastructures in the South east. It has also been used to pay teachers, civil servants and politician in the region. Yet, you people will come here and lie that Hausas and Yorubas are the only ones benefiting from ND oil.

The majority shareholder of the company in question here are foreigners while Nigerians of Hausa and igbo extraction constitute the minority shareholders. Still, you Igbos want to make it look like ONLY THE NORTHERNERS are running the show. You have nothing against Italians owing 50% of the stakes in the company but you are quick to attack northerners that own lesser stakes. This goes to show that you people are so greedy that you want to corner everything for yourself and hence, the nonsense lies you keep spewing just to get the south south on Board in your Biafra agitation.
SS people this is the truth right here. Akwa ibom, Rivers, Delta and Bayelsa state put together collects more Allocation than the rest of Nigeria put together. What of the 13% derivatives, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, NDDC all collecting huge allocations too. All to cater for the Needs of Niger Delta. The problem is your Governors.

The article even said May spend after one year of assuming office. They are just quoting the figure the last administration used in maintaining the PAF and since Buhari has not yet sold them he may also spend that much too at the end of his first year. PDP fools have no conscience.

It's important for Oduanistanis, not for any Easterner with proper reasoning capacity.

This is why the country will not work, insensitivity on the part of Arewa-Oduanistanis.

The monopoly that is Lagos port and all that comes with it must end, if the zoological republic should stand any chance of survival.

You don't place Ibadan- Lagos express road as the most important express road in Nigeria that deserve to drink first from the river before others and expect me( an Igbo) to accept that, when I know fully that the importance of Lagos- Ibadan road was artificially and deliberately created by you lots( Arewa-Odua) .

No nation thrives on inequality and injustice, and this colonial contraption can't be an exception.
No b your person dey there for 5 years why hin no develop the PH and Calabar port in his region.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Becomes Minister For Power, Housing And Works: A New Dawn! by bakynes(m): 3:35pm On Nov 11, 2015
pazienza:
The road is important because the Arewa-Oduanistanis made it so since 1970.

A functional sea port at Calabar, a good Calabar- Katsina ala and Calabar to Ikot Ekpene to Aba express roads and the Ibadan-Lagos road loses all importance you currently think it has currently.

Add a fully functional PH port and PH- Owerri and PH-Aba- Enugu- Onitsha express road, and Lagos- Ibadan becomes a normal Oduanistan express road.

The unnecessary importance of that express road was deliberately and artificially created by Arewa-Oduanistani past rulers of the zoological republic.

And it's past time it stopped.
We'll that's another issue for another day, for now that road is the most important for now.Lagos port is still the most viable port in the country whether you agree or not that's the truth.

You sit there in your village wallowing in your ignorance since you don't know the road most of your people passes through into Lagos and one of the road Petrol Tankers carry fuel and Imported products to the rest of Nigeria through the port.
