There is a tuition fee of 1,500 euros per semester for international students. Also, there are administrative and student service fees of 160 Euro in total per semester, which cannot be waived. Living costs in Karlsruhe are approx. 700 Euro per month. Applicants for student visa at the embassy will need to provide financial proof.

Please who knows the most acceptable way to certify transcripts and other documents for Fau Erlange Nurnberg.(climate and environmental science).

I got an admission to this course this summer. I couldn’t make it there. Told to reapply this winter with my summer admission letter though . Go to the embassy and do it, at least that worked for me

Planning for winter admission Bsc.international business/ management .I just checked my IELTS result 5.5 so sad . I needed 6 /6.5

I can remember FAU accepts 5.5 in some of their courses but I think you should go for English certificate from your school, most schools accept it. Proficiency exam is good but English certificate from your school is not bad
I have 6.5 but sometimes I wish I didn’t even do the exam sef

Seems like you are into the GEO world, anyway if you are interested in such program, I will also suggest you check out the following programs.

If you are interested in remote sensing, check out KIT and university of wurzburg,

If you are for geoinformatics, check out university of muenster and hft Stuttgart

If you are for geoinformatics and geodesy, check out Leibniz universitat hannover and TU Berlin

If you are interested in hydrography, check out hafencity university, Hamburg

Then if you are interested in all these areas of specializations in one program and you be Oliver Twist like us, then come to University of applied sciences Karlsruhe for geomatics.

@eldee I guess you are in a tuition paying school, how are you coping and how does it really work. I will appreciate your response and I’m also a geo person and I can see some tuition paying schools too and they are interesting with geoinformatics and Remote sensing courses.

Please house, for all these 1500 tuition fee schools, when does an admitted student pay, I hope that’s when the student gets to Germany, just asking because I want to try them too for more options for admission even I don’t plan to go pay 1500 for Germany when others dey flex

you combine all your documents in a pdf file and send it to them in an email as attachment.

please are you sure of this, I mailed the course coordinator he said I should check the website like I no know before, the application takes you to an online application but when you click on it...it gives the application is closed, check feb2019, that I tried last month o so something is not right, maybe demigodzeus is right, they have not opened for the winter application

University of Bayreuth application will start ending of March.

University of Bremen Application ends April 30th.


However the above schools require you have interest in physical geography.....But that of Dresden Zittau, interest in human geography would do. For me I am a physical geography guy, don't know about you.

I’m also a physical geography person and did some gis and Remote Sensing courses, no programming though

as a determined soul you call yourself, the best thing is to get to work, search Daad, study-in, google, narrow your search to the course you want to do in german Universities. This is winter, there will be a lot of schools to apply to, when you see courses you like, go to the school/ course website and check for more information on how to apply and if you are not satisfied with the information online, contact the programme coordinator. It’s not that deep

ahah na true bro, I even called their International office line and they were giving me crampy stories.we might not get that admission letter till next weekeend or upper week,so the best bet is to differ for winter semester..

Please what is their excuse/reason/story for the delay...I don’t mind to differ till winter if that’s actually possible with them

see ehn that FAU ehn...na the worst school for this hustle... they have not replied any 2019 summer applicant at least that I know, it stops with valid on your campo. I’m still expectant with one eye sha, maybe na till winter because I don’t understand anymore but it’s better to find another school wey get correct head

Please house I will like to ask if 3 courses is enough for a 15 ECTS requirement . Is one course equivalent to a 5 ects or more

I applied in summer of 2008 but na rejection follow say my BSc in chemistry for naija is not equivalent to do an MSC in fau many other guy application were rejection for certification does people na joy killer

Are there other schools that have not released summer admissions except for FAU (I mean for all the courses in such school). And to FAU summer applicants, wetin dey sup nah, shey na like this we go dey dey? Funny enough I saw on their website that enrollment starts today and ends on the 29th of March. I hope they will be reasonable enough to give enough time to process visa when they finally release admission results

This school FAU erlangen-nürnberg is a nonsense school my application is supposed to be winter oo but due to the their technical faults it turns out to be summer with a very close deadline for submitting of documents. That's why I am running helter skelter on how to send the document before the deadline which is 28th of this month.... I for kuku use nipost..... I'm seriously considering not going further with the application by boning the documents submission.....

28th of this month is still a very long time. Book your doc certification at the german embassy( I think that’s the only certification they accept) then send it through dhl it will be there on or before 3 days

FAU doing that thing. Those of us that applied for summer admission have not gotten admission results and they have opened their portal for winter admission applications. Are they only interested in tens of thousands of applicants

alright. I applied for climate and environmental sciences.

@bolded, your school will clearly state out which type of document is required of you.
Some ask for plain photocopies, most require that you certify the documents, some do not need offline applications. Just upload the documents on their portal. So if your school didn't ask for certified docs, then you're okay.

As for FAU, you'll need to certify. I applied there

Dear members. A friend want to know if anyone got visa with about 75percent of blocked fund amount .his interview is close and he still await so funds which is unlike to drop before his interview.will there be any luck or should he just cancel the appointment .urgent

No need to cancel as long as he can get the balance in few weeks after the interview. Go for the interview and sort it out fast, some people don’t even fund their accounts before interview but he should do it almost immediately after the interview
