I'm trying not to be skewed in my assessment of both of them, but I believe mutual understanding is an exigency. If that existed, maybe she wouldn't come to NL with her problems. A social experiment was carried out where a young boy took a cigarette around asking smoking adults for a lighter. Their responses was predictable overall. One striking thing however was the reponses to 'why do you smoke then?'
