That's how you argue at home. No wonder you are a feminist.

Let me go cook. Go paint your nails. Bye.
**** I am a man who is very comfortable in his masculinity. Who knows what is right from wrong. Who bases everything on facts and doing things the right way. Go cook dear attorney. Seems to be all you are good for.

yeah you may do that shyttt in the ghettos of london but i live in a very quiet conservative area in northern england where you just dont walk up to people anyhow. people around here are very particular about their privacy.

and with regards the other part of your question, I am speaking about UNI not what happens after you graduate. after you graduate if you want to live in england its your business. This convo is about the how naija uni is the best place to study if you can afford to rent a house off campus. and i assume if you have money to spend on foreign university you must have money to rent off campus in naija.
wink
So you live in the ghetto.

i hear ya but uni over here has some racial component to it. like campus police will be harrassing you if you are black and play your music . then the whole racial vibe just not what i am used to. there is disharmony. in naija uni there is complete harmony. plus there is mad racial tension in america now cuz of donald trump and ferguson and the whole trayvon martin and sandra bland thing. police just gunning down biggaz anyhow. me ? i dont like america PERIOD. and i dont like their uni either. i am not impressed at all
You are right. So when are you moving back permanently to Nigeria. If i were you, i will not stand for that nonsense anymore.

better yet i can take the picture again with your name on it this time. how bout that ? over here you just dont walk up to white people on the streets. they will think you are crazy . this is not naija. they do things a lil different around here lol
What are you saying? I do it all the time. And you haven't answered my question. Why are you in England and not living in Nigeria if it is so awesome? You wan't people to stay in Nigeria and sweat it out while you sweat it out thousands of miles away. How does that make sense?

This is when men in your profession need to stand up and fight, if they feel the system isn't fair to them.
That is not the issue. To you does that seem fair? Do you think we should be paid the same?

Do one more. Go outside get someone, preferably white to hold that paper and passport and take the picture again. Then i will believe you. Even if it's true, he is in England and telling Nigerians in Nigeria that Nigeria is awesome. Anyone notice the irony in that? I've lived in America for years and i would never advice anyone to stay in that crappy country when i know i can't.

CelebritiesRe: Uche Jombo Blasts Wuraola Ogunwusi Over Her Speech On Gender Equality by banmee(m): 6:28pm On Jun 18, 2016
kennygee:
Uche never argued that the Man isn't the head of the home, only that women should not be seen as lesser than men.

Both parties have different roles and responsibilities. A woman's roles is even more hectic than a man's, even tho the man has authority and is Lord over the woman.

It is quick and easy for African men to say "I'm the man of the house, I'm the Lord". But what does the bible say about the duties of husband and wife, Men are to love their wives like Christ loved the church, so much that Christ gave his life for the church. Wives are to submit, under this love that this husband gives.

A man who loves his wife won't see her as a subject, but as a team mate.

I think that's what Uche is trying to say.
That is what she is trying to say but she lost me when she started delving in the equality issue. We can never be equal until we have equal responsibilities. We are partners though and have to work together to make it happen. Whatever that is.

You are contradicting yourself, or you don't understand what you want in life. Which sane man would be born in Britain and school in a Nigerian University? Or You didn't school in Nigeria but yet you know so much about the quality of education it has. So which is it? grin This is the internet. Everyone is a super hero.

i have been to american and british uni and i call it suffering. there is no enjoyment there. naija uni is the sweetest. you have all the food you are familiar with around you and everyone looks like you so no racism and its a warm environment. trust me as a nigerian naija uni is the sweetest place you can ever go. but you just need money to enjoy it so you can rent off campus and have a car and furnished apt and have your gurl live with you off campus . bro trust me it is all hype. I went to loyola in chicago and i have stayed with friends in yale new haven connecticut, and UIC in chicago and in england i have been to north london university and university of lancashire in preston. i was not impressed. OAU has better external structure than all these schools. they just need to maintain it. all those abroad schools i mentioned, they just have cheap looking desks in it. not impressed at all
Guy, you need to stop. It is becoming embarrassing. You say "they just maintain it" like it is not a big deal. That is exactly why they are better.

seriously, op, what do you hope to gain by bad mouthing your country? sure, Nigeria isn't the best, but still. not all parts of the USA looks like paradise
The OP is doing you a favor. It is to help you realize a standard you can aspire to. And you are right, not all parts of the U.S looks like paradise but a high percentage of it does. Compare that to Nigeria where not all parts of the country looks like paradise but a high percentage of it looks like trash.

Eeyah. Doesn't seem fair. Probably due to the difference in physical strength, muscle mass etc on average of men and women
There's more. When i go on dangerous missions, a female expects to to chill in the office while i'm taking mortar rounds. And we get paid the same. At 18, i'm expected to sign up for selective service or else certain benefits would be denied me. I need to stop. I'm getting angry now.

did he tell u otherwise before Mr grasper. Lol. the only thing u ppl want to see is equal and u will be satisfied.
Read through my posts. We can never be equal until we accept equal responsibility. I needed to say what i said because to a Nigerian man living in Nigeria, "know our roles" means the same thing as "i am your master and you are my slave". We are partners.

They should report to the appropriate authorities.

I oppose domestic abuse of any kind and advocate that they be stopped but that doesn't mean we should all turn to feminists otherwise we will have aa country full of single mothers.
That is the point. You said women should not complain. Abi i lie?

HaneefahRN:
When I say, equal opportunities, I meant equal opportunities. I don't know what you are going on about really. The term is explanatory enough. Opportunities to grow in whatever capacity or organization or Society should be thrown open to both genders. It is left for those that feel they can bear the responsibilities that goes with the opportunity and have the qualities needed to go for it.
Below is my response to the same kind of weird post as yours;

My next rank is a SFC. One of the requirements is I have to do 60 push ups; 70 sit ups; and run two miles in 14 minutes. A woman, same age grade just has to do 20 push ups, 30 sits ups and run two miles in 19 minutes and 30 seconds. Sounds fair right? And that's one instance. There are many.

Give me an example where you are been asked to do more work because of your gender.

That is all I can say. I'm tired of hearing such talks everyday. I have nothing against a man being the head in the home and family structure. And I respect the varying roles each gender plays in the family network.

But don't tell me I am below every, Tom, Dick and Harry cos they were born with di.cks and so gender equality is rubbish. Both gender should have equal opportunities in the Society. Be whatever you want to be, in a good way of course without being discriminated against.
She might see herself as inferior to men, but I don't
Both gender having equal opportunities in the Society will never happen until women begin to bear equal responsibilities. I am all for equal opportunities and rights, but i am against someone asking for the same benefits while i do most of the work. This is where woman have a problem. You can't have your cake and eat it at the same time. In my organization, what i have to do to get promoted is ten times more difficult than what a woman has to do. You can't expect me to be happy about this.
