marv1: U may not be totally correct. There are some questions one has to ask. How and When will nnaji be training him? where does he expect him to get money to feed and pay his bills? Did he offer him any stipend? I think the guy went back to the streets because he had no other source of income . He knows where the shoe pinches him and not on mere promises. Nigeria celebrity can promise and fail wella.Another example is the guy that got 5pointer first class from unilag. They just finished the guy with media hypes here and there and everything ended. This guy has not got d job yet up till now. Therein lies the problem. I remember criticizing the media he got for graduating with a 5 point GPA. No one goes to college with the mindset to graduate and get a gift. This apparently only happens in Nigeria. You graduate for you and you alone. If he is still looking for a job with a GPA that high, then you have to wonder how intelligent he is. I did not graduate with a first class but I changed jobs like one changing boxer shorts. So much so that my friends were asking me how i was doing it. I am about to share one of the secrets of success. One must know how to differentiate between luck and opportunity and take full advantage of said opportunity. The fact that he got noticed was pure luck. The mere fact that he got so much publicity is an opportunity. The fact that they were talking about educating him and empowering him is an opportunity. You only need luck once to generate multiple opportunities. Obviously the windshield washer doesn't know how to use his. |

The only people who would are entertainers like mayweather because it brings in publicity for his matches. That is changing though because of the 50cent saga. When a country has a zero tax policy and corruption is rife, things like this happen. Come and try that shiit in the west and see if the IRS won't audit the shiit outta you. But I am surprised that you think "honorables" can't be involved in rape when you and I know that Nigerian politician can do anything because they have the believe that they can get away with it. I am sure you are aware of such cases. Not with a country like Nigeria. There's not too much they can lose from not dealing with us. |

It seems they only need to hear the allegations and assume he/they were guilty.
Atleast the first level of investigation should hearing both sides before even any action of suspension would be taken and that's if there is incontrovertible evidence that he was involved. That is not how they do things in the U.S. It doesn't matter who, but if a complaint is made about you, they take the accuser's word before yours, then suspend you so you don't interfere with the investigation. Even if he is eventually found guilty he should have a fair hearing.
I think this guy has been falsely accused. I may be wrong sha. He has not been convicted. It is standard practice in the states to suspend a person before an investigation. If he was guilty, trust me, he would not have been allowed to leave the country. |

nerodenero: The era of '1994-2000 when Nigeria had good players beckon. The future is bright. My fear is NFF, always divided against herself! We've had good players since independence until, like you said, 2000. Stephen Keshi and Daniel Amokachi kinda changed the dimension just a little bit. Stephen keshi was our first Pro and other players began to want what he had and started thinking less of playing for the country and more for themselves. Then Amokachi went and I think bought a private jet and things really got bad. Playing for the country was put in the background and self interest took over. NFF did not help matters too. Corruption was the norm and they then made the fatal error of taking our matches away from Lagos to abuja. Nigeria. |

The fact that you have 11 likes and or you think what the policemen are doing to those prostitutes does not constitute rape. If you extrapolate those 11 likes, you can begin to see the number of Nigerians who think like you and it is alarming. Just so you know, when you sleep with a woman by force, duress or threat, it is considered rape by normal standards. Keyword here in "normal". |

MadamExcellency: Comprehension is your problem.
US Government pronounced a guilty verdict on our congressmen without fair hearing over a gossip by disgruntled hotel staff and this move by US has never happened before in the history of this country. This is the same way EFCC under Buhari has been doing on pages of newspapers and on Internet which is a bad precedence.
US doesn't cancel visas in such circumstances rather they wait to apprehend the suspects on their next visit for possible trial hence I am suspicious of the step taken so far by US. This is a setup to tarnish the image of the pillar of Nigeria's democratic institution. If the USA pronounced a guilty verdict on them believe me they would not have allowed them to leave the U.S. what they did is normal protocol. In cases like this the affected person is usually suspended in order to conduct an invitation. |

Politics › Re: Five States Meet Conditions For N90Billion Federal Bailout by banmee(m): 10:45pm On Jun 16, 2016 |
franciskaine: every Tom, Dick and Harry now talks true federalism like say Nigeria can't exist without it. Have we bothered to consider why the so called true federalism failed after the first Republic? The problem with Nigeria has always been the implementation of true constitutionalism. Dat a nation is heterogeneous doesn't mean dat unitary system won't be ideal for it. Federalism works in America doesn't mean it will work in Nigeria. If Nigeria must remain as one sovereign entity den take it from me dat federalism is neva our panacea. Just imagine wen we adopt true federalism as envisaged in theory books, of which I doubt any state, even America is not practicing, what becomes the fate of very economical backward states like Ebonyi, Gombe, Jigawa, et al? Who will augment their meagre economy? In actuality, what Nigeria needs is economic diversification and adequate utilisation of our national potentials. Wen, let's say for instance, the Northern groundnut pyramid is revived, the eastern palm eldorado revived, the western cocoa revived, and other untapped resources maximally utilised, we would av more than excess income to go round and meet needs. But corruption over time has killed Nigeria and everyone now sings true federalism like it's the real solution. For the fact, true federalism begets secessionism. How many multicultural societies in the world practice true federalism? Rather it's adviced u adapt a system to suit ur peculiarities and societal preferences. Rather than true federalism, my advice is a disintegrated Nigeria, because we can't manage d negations of confederalism called true federalism. What Nigerians don't understand is that there is nothing wrong with the system of government we are practicing at the moment. The problem is corruption and the mindset of Nigerians. Even if God came down and implemented a system of government for us it will still fail because corruption can and never will work with any system of government. Nigerians need to change their mentality and reduce corruption. Until then, nothing will ever change. |
