Not really. It's easy to prove. All I need is to take a few pictures and write your name in real time in pen. Guy, this is why I tell you to stop googling. Ranges can be anywhere in any terrain.

BoneBlogger:
A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Agusta 109 Light Utility Helicopter has suffered a mishap while undertaking a liaison mission targeted at further enhancing the synergy between the Nigerian Army and the NAF in the ongoing counterinsurgency operation in the North East.

The incidence, which occurred today, 6 July 2017, was as a result of an airborne technical fault with the helicopter. The experienced NAF pilots, however, successfully ditched the helicopter into a pool of water to minimize damage and loss of lives.

Consequently, there were neither any injuries nor loss of lives to anyone on board or on the ground.

The Chief of the Air Staff has immediately directed the constitution of a board of inquiry to determine the exact cause of the incidence while efforts are ongoing to recover the helicopter and members of the board are already in Maiduguri to commence work.

The NAF continues to solicit the understanding and support of the general populace as it daily strives to ensure the security of Nigeria and Nigerians.

When you are in training, any training where it does not involve eliminating a target it is marksmanship. You are not a soldier so you would not understand.

This isn't a marksmanship exercise.

First photo: Basic assault on an enemy position using leapfrog method

Second photo: Basic arrest and transport of an enemy combatant.
Anytime you are shooting at anything other than a human being it a marksmanship exercise either with blanks or live rounds or for simply qualification purposes. Key point to take into consideration in my comment is whatever the first and second photo says to you, it is still a marksmanship exercise. My initial comment was to correct the statement that the exercise is fpr "bush shooting" whatever that means.

Google what? Did you read the post and the reason for the exercise?

Aim wasn't on target shooting or any form of marksmanship. Focus was on conduct and search with suppression of enemy fire. The objective of the maneuver aimed to achieve that.
Yes I read the post. Like I said, anytime you are shooting at anything other than a human being it a marksmansip exercise either with blanks or live rounds. cool

They weren't shootimg at any target. That's more like a fire and maneuver exercise conducted in the woods. They should have BFAs at the muzzle of those weapons.

I should know. I wear my rifles badge with pride and honour.
Are you done googling? Ever heard of live fire exercises? Google that.

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar yesterday, 5 July 2017, joined the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Regiment personnel in training at the Regiment Training Centre (RTC) in Kaduna.

The personnel engaged in a bush exercise, specifically designed by the British Military Assistance Training Team (BMATT), to build the personnel’s capacity in Cordon and Search. The CAS undertook the visit in order to witness first hand, the extent of progress in training and in particular, the exercise, which involved the use of one of the NAF’s helicopters.

The CAS stated that the exercise was part of the capacity building initiative of the NAF towards further ensuring the base protection as a means of protecting the NAF’s air assets.

He added, “Our base in Maiduguri was once attacked, we are taking steps to ensure it never happens again”. He further stated that the end state was the security of Nigeria and Nigerians, a task which the NAF was devoted to carrying out. He then expressed satisfaction with the performance of the personnel during the exercise.

In his remarks, the head of the BMATT stated that he was impressed with the rate of assimilation of the NAF personnel and added that the capacity of NAF Regiment personnel for base defence had improved tremendously.

At the end of the Bush exercise, Air Marshal Abubakar had lunch with all the trainees of the RTC, an act that boosted their morale. While at the RTC, the CAS decorated Sergeant Laku Ibrahim and Lance Corporal Yakubu Zachariah with their new higher ranks of flight sergeant and corporal respectively.

The two airmen had since been promoted for their gallantry while participating in the counterinsurgency operations in the North East but they could not be decorated earlier, as they were indisposed. In his address, the CAS stated that the NAF would not relent in its efforts at rewarding excellence, commitment and dedication to duty.

He, therefore, urged all the trainees to remain focused as they were critical to the security of Nigeria and Nigerians. He then expressed his appreciation to the BMATT for their partnership with the NAF, which resulted in the training of the NAF personnel. The CAS had since returned to Abuja for other official engagements.

I uave uad this discussion with several people. The truth is Nigerians dont understand how a society works. Or how life in general works. They still believe change starts from the people in authority. So if your orientation teaches you that looting is "being sharp" then when you are elected you should suddenly stop desiring overnight wealth and become a saint. Until that realization sets in anything you will say is just a waste.
It is as if most people in Nigeria's brain is wired differently from the rest of the world. I urge you as a friend, leave that phucked up country.

Another way to look at it is the country is so corrupt that doing the right thing is seen as a favor.

They are blaming their leaders. Lol. As if your leaders are the problem. Quick question; where do your leaders come from? Let me give you a hint; they are not from the moon. They come from you the citizenry and if the citizenry is bad, the leaders you will continue to have forever will be bad. Bad citizens=bad leaders=bad country. This is an indisputable fact. Until you all start thinking and acting like sane human beings, you will never bring forth amongst you a good leader. It is not by magic that you continue to produce one bad leader after another. Let me give an example. Fayose was a kid when buhari, IBB, Abacha were leading this country. I guarantee you he complained as you are complaining now about poor leadership. He has had the chance to make positive changes as governor but what do we see? Cutting ponmo and riding on motor bikes is the highlight of his administration. And he is not the only one. You guys think it's bad now. Smh. You have no idea what's coming.
