Pls nairalanders, I am in deep mess right now. I have been living in my compound for 6 yrs now but due to some money issues I was evicted and my friend/fellow tenant was kind enough to take me in for the time being. It is him the wife and their small baby son that stays.

The problem started when the wife start complaining that am wasteful. i have never remained food they give me. from then they reduced quantity of food they give me and i dont complain.

Now just this morning am making tea and take 3 spoons of milk in her presence and all hell break loose. she starts shouting and call her husband that even them dont take more than 2 spoons. the man called me later and said it is time for us to part ways.

Am devastated now. i even used my last cash to buy a tin of milk for them. what do i do now? i have no where to go.

Who told you it is because of milk. Guy, you have overstayed your welcome. Plus, you are not contributing anything to the household. You are making it sound like they are the bad guys. This kind of thinking only happens in countries like Nigeria. No one would even listen to you in the U.S or Europe.

Not necessarily. It all depends on how you treat your body especially when you are young. My wife for instance. She never drinks alcohol or soft drinks. Never eats junk food or anything exessively. She works out everyday for the last 20 years. You see her now and you'd think she was 25. Me sef no carry last. My only vice is cigarettes but I run it off everyday. At least a minimum of 2 miles. I look better, fitter and toner than most 25 year olds. Meanwhile I'm almost .............

This the rubbishiest post I've read in a long time. Where is the research for which the OP is basing his/her conclusion? Marriages fail every day and you don't have to be a celebrity for that to happen. I could as well write a topic saying; the common man marriage. Is it a blessing or curse?

It is not a "men" thing. It is a Nigerian thing. Nigerians are just too violent for comfort. Every little problem must always be solved by the use of force. This is why jungle justice is very rampant in the country and why Soldiers and policemen see citizens as bulls eye for target practice. Funny thing is, when it comes to jungle justice, Nigerians are in complete support for that kind of violence but when it comes to situations like this they are in an uproar. You can't pick and choose. It's either every Nigerians agrees to behave like normal human beings or allow themselves to continue this animalistic tendencies. I wonder why anyone would be surprised this happens frequently in a lawless society. Keyword here is "frequently" because spousal abuse happens in every country but Nigeria is in a league of it's own. With that picture alone in a sane country, the husband would be jail right now awaiting for trial. Not in Nigeria.
