His wife isn't very good at driving so he comes home to see she has bashed in the right door of her car. "I'm a little pressed for money dear, I won't be able to fix that anytime soon, do you have some money to spare?" She says she doesn't so the car gets parked for a month or two in which his eardrums were nearly perforated with nagging and complains.

She's pregnant! Yay! the first child is here, it's a girl. That brings it's own responsibilities. The wife's family came to visit to congratulate them and when they leave, another unwritten law says that as a "man" you should give them money for transport

The Man's own family comes too and the same unwritten law is applied.

They get more children and have to move to a bigger house which requires bigger money for rent. And with children expenses don't decrease as they grow older it increases.

One day you wake up and you are 65years old realizing you've done absolutely nothing for yourself as a man but slaved to satisfy others, most of which aren't even grateful for the sacrifice.

In middle management all over the world, the number of men with high blood pressure increases steadily and this is directly related to providing for their family, wife's family and extended family. Men take an unfair burden of provision and this impacts their health.
So let's stop this narrative that women are doing something exceptional when they spend money doing things expected of a parent.

Before you go off on an epileptic fit... some of us have being paying our own bills independent from our parents before our 18th birthday (let alone a strange man).
Sadly, because of the society in Africa women don't have that luxury because for her to move in to her own flat is near enough shameful! The annoying part is that most times they are coworkers on the same pay grade as you and in some cases even higher, but the inherent, inconsiderate, self serving nature won't let them realize that its wrong to burden you with demands seeing as you are just friends

Male friends are hardly ever pests and if they ever go through financial difficulties and have to borrow cash you can be sure of getting your money back. The same can't always be said for lending money to "female friends".

It's safe to say that more often than not, having female friends only benefits the female and that doesn't pass as a proper definition of friendship.

There's nothing profound about this post, it's common knowledge that money is important in marriage. Uncommon knowledge however is that this advice shouldn't be gender specific. She arrived Ajah in style, adorned in her best garment and was escorted into the inner chambers. The prince however didn't seem pleased to see her. [ She looked nothing like he had expected and he could hardly conceal his disappointment ]. He however made passes at her in the inner chambers and these passes went through unresisted. The prince returned to official matters soon after he KNEW her. Her efforts to stay cuddled in the inner chambers were unrequited and she began to feel used. She got a thousand tweety birds � and attached a letter to every one of them which read " Prince Charming of Ajah knew me whence I gaveth no consent. He forced himself upon me and I being a weak female hath no strength lest I pushet him away from me. Prince Charming hath taken away my virtue and hath makest me unfit for my partner-to-be". All 1000 tweety birds were set free to fly far and wide to every part of the community.
The news spread like wildlife till it got to the hearing of the prince. He was very undisturbed by the rumours because he could prove it was merely a subterfuge and not a true account of what had transpired. He still had all the letters he had recieved from her which contained very erotic converse. And unknown to her he had 2 of his favourite artists draw life potriats of them during the time he knew her. So he bought 10,000 tweety birds and attached copies of the letters and painting before setting them all free.
The girl was shamed for accusing the prince falsely and banished from the community. She lived unhappily ever after.


Prince Charming was lucky he had proof to exonerate himself but not everyone is that lucky.
