I also added my card, immediately i saw their post about the unauthorized debit i deleted my card straight.
Just go to pay, then 'top up acct' then ' bank transfer' then input amount, your names and email. Then click Next. It takes you to the screenshot below. Click 'pay now', then click 'internet banking' It will show banks. Click your bank. Then type in your user name and password.....as you do on your bank App. Click the acct you want them to deduct from, if you use more than 1 acct and then confirm payment. It will show you that your acct was successfully debited of the amount you imputed. Shekina.

Don't ever register your card on any App. If you've done so, then apply for another card and fill that you misplaced the former. Nothing go happen to your acct again.

Bro most times no be the rider's ratings dey xup, Rida knows what's going on.
I guess they frown at cancellations and use it to judge when calculating your ratings, if u doubt me check how many trips you cancelled.
Because they don't charge or penalize drivers for cancellations most times we cancel anyhow and it plays a role in the ratings.
You could be right but then I really don't cancel anyhow, cos I don't bid anyhow. At times I quickly check the address on Gmap to be sure before bidding. My cancellation is so minute that I can count. It's usually their fault. A guy delayed me for 30 mins, just to send code.... couldn't wait so I cancelled. A lady with bags of rice.....Shey U dey whine me ni! Got to PU and rider's phone switched off. Waited for long, then cancelled. They are really not much.

Personal opinion: I feel that riders on Rida App are bitter and terrible people! They quote very ridiculous prices, treat drivers like shit, waste your time, still give you 1 star. I've been using Rida for some time now and I can tell you that I accept a whole lot of sh1t. Long waiting, low price, rudeness and all worth not! They still rate you low. Some even try to cheat you. I have not used Indrive for sometime now, so I decided to try it today. I was on 4.4 and I only did 2 trips and my rating entered 4.5. Meanwhile, I was on 4.3 on Rida on Monday. It's now 4.1. I don't understand it. I don't speed. I put on A/C. I wait for them, even though I call to let them know it's just 5 mins waiting time. I even help with load. I allow them use BT.

Very terrible set of humans on Rida App!

There are the reasons I hate working on the men land, island you can even beat traffic lights do anyhow you like in the presence of LATsma and go but you dare not try it in Ikeja, surulere or Yaba.
I'm not attacking you brother, it's a general statement......We have a warped mindset or reasoning in this part of the world. Why would one ever think of running the red light, and not just running it but running it "anyhow"! It is lawless and very dangerous. If your reason of not working on the mainland is because you won't be able to run the red light, then it's .not a good reason. Don't see this as an attack.

Don't stress the deal, if he can't pay premium, let them use public transport.
Is 100k premium?

Someone wants me to take him and his colleague to Oyo state on Friday morning. They are building contractors. We will leave on Friday morning and they would still go round till evening. Then continue the next day.(go round again) He said they would be through around 5/6pm on Saturday but he wouldn't want us to go back to Lagos by night, so we would sleep over and leave on Sunday morning to Lagos. He's someone I know well,.....a neighbour.

How much can I charge him for the 2 days and coming back to Lagos? They will provide accommodation, but I'll take care of my feeding

What do u want drivers union to come and do for u besides give police money. Settle them and take your car away. U where not arrested illegally that u need legal representation or union to come and protest for you. If u didn't do anything then never hand over your keys to anybody. Be street wise
Bro that union is very necessary. Even these old taxi drivers, police no dey arrest them. Though I blame a lot of our drivers. They park any how and anywhere.
We need a union. We can create one here and then get a location for meeting. Some of us have connections to police, army, road safety, vio, etc. We can even make some of these top officers our patron/matron. Though we need to settle them once a while. We can have an acct, pay dues etc. I'm just thinking of ways to help drivers.

If to say union dey, na just few calls go save that guy.

Just trying to make sense......might not be making sense still, to some!

Exactly what I do to time wasters, dash them one star after trip and move on.afterall na the money be the Koko, she can't do you nada if you dash am one star
Na so bro. That's why I usually call when I get to PU location and tell rider that the waiting time is just 5 mins, anything other than that, attracts extra fee. At times they add and at times they don't but I don't wait more than 15 mins. If you don't add, I give you 1 star.

You just have to wait, else, you go cancel tire and if you check the fuel you've used getting to all the PU you cancelled, you'll discover it's not worth it.

That's why bolt is better but their commission is crazy.

This scenario goes against what they call, "be ready before you request for your ride".
They knew he needed to eat and take his drugs, why then request a ride when the food was not bought yet?
Yeah, this is prevalent in naija riders. I've never seen a naija rider wait for driver.....except the whites and Indians living with us. This is how we are. Do we stop our biz because of this? No. We should instead find a better way round it.

I drove about 10 mins to get to luth and I discovered the situation on ground, should I cancel? If I had cancelled, then it means I've wasted fuel, wasted time, wasted energy! It doesn't make sense. I had to find a way. Earned my money and a prayer from an aged man. It is something for me.

that is the Nigerian mentality, they prefer you wait for them while they get ready instead of getting ready then wait for you. the number of times I cancelled last week would have gotten my account blocked if u were driving on bolt.
one lady wasted 15mins, I kept calling and she kept saying she's coming. I wanted to teach her a lesson too. so I waited for 20 mins, immediately she came out and wanted to open the door, I moved, she called and said I should come back that she's standing under the sun.i just laughed.
After waiting for 20 mins, you still didn't pick her. She won't feel anything. She'd rather order another. You are the one that wasted your time and still didn't get the deal. I'm not supporting her, don't misconstrue me. The normal waiting time is 5 mins, of which you can choose to cancel after that or call let her understand that she has just 5 mins waiting grace, anytime after that, she would add to the fare. It is the fault of the App. Bolt charges rider after waiting for 5 mins.

As long as you render a service, you should be patient and tolerant. If you see what bar owners go through from customers, you will understand how hard it is to render service in this part of the world. Nigerians are difficult and frustrated people and they sometimes unleash their frustration on service renders. You need to follow them with patience and tolerance if you want good score/rating and offcourse, the money, which is the reason you're in the biz.

If she entered the car and you politely explained to her that it's only 5 mins waiting grace and she needs to add a little to the fare for your 15 mins wait, she might oblige, but if she refuses, you move on and go drop her. If she alights, give her 1 star and explain why on the App.

Simple

Nigerians with sentiments, why didn't he eat the Amala at the buka or restaurant where he bought it before entering your Car.
Fine, this is what you should have asked ab initio.

When I got to the luth canteen, I called and the wife picked and said they are coming out. I waited for like 10 mins and they didn't come out, so I called again and she said; "Pls my son, my husband is sick and he needs to eat and take his drugs. They are still attending to us". I entered the canteen and saw that she was 2nd on the queue, that's after calling and ascertaining that she was the one. I walked up to her and told her to do it 'take away', that I can't wait for him to sit here and eat! Time is money! She bought it and they entered the car and she pleaded for him to eat it in my car cos he needed to take the drugs.....I obliged.

I don't go about allowing people eat in my car. There are exceptional cases. That's why I said, we should be considerate. I will not pick any young man or woman and allow him/her start eating amala or any swallow in my car.

Na me get my car.....na wetin I like I go do. To each his own!
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 8:21pm On Apr 17, 2023

It's not right and hygeinic in any sense for riders to eat in your car. That car is your office, you should not allow someone to mess it up despite the fact they are paying you. Your job is to get them from point A to point B with quality service not to eat in your car. I used to allow riders to eat in my car during my early days in the hustle until I battled multiple cockroaches for one full year. I fumigated and used different insecticides still they kept multiplying in the car. They feed on food particles and lay eggs in the hidden part of car. The experience I had was terrible

It's very disgusting and irritating for roaches to live in someone's car. It's a bad omen. Imagine roaches coming out from AC vents and Car seats crawling on someone body. I lost a lot of offline customers back in those days. My rating was low, I was struggling with it, till I was able to tidy up.

Bro you had better stop riders eating in your car, it's not good for the business.
Ok bro. Thanks. If I ever fall into that situation again, I'll still allow the aged man eat. So if it was your dad you picked and he needed to eat and take his drugs at the needed time, you will tell him not to till you get home. Ok o!

Like I said, I'll always be considerate. I don't have roaches in my car and I'll not.

I remember I once picked up a rider, immediately I started the trip she asked me to turn off my radio, I reduced it and she said I should turn it off, I just reversed and told her to request for another ride, how can I drive 1hr plus in silence. music helps to withstand traffic.
Sometimes we should be considerate. One lady once told me to put off the music completely and I asked why, and she said she wants to have her job meeting on zoom. I switched it off immediately. We should put ourselves in their shoes at times.

For the guy that wished drivers who overwork themselves dead, you went too far bro. There's always a better way of putting up your narrative.

For the eating in the car, I go with pearls. I usually allow them eat though but I would advise you not to stain my car. I recently carried an aged man and his wife from luth to Aguda. He was sick and he needed to eat and take his drugs. I allowed him eat his amala.....even though he stained the floor and seat, I had to clean it when they alighted and he blessed and thanked me.

In all, just be considerate. It doesn't mean you should go about taking sh1t!
