People should go about their normal business and forget whatever judgement that comes out of the tribunal today.

It is not only in the military or paramilitary forces, it is in all sectors of the country. MDA's, private, etc.

I was shortchanged in NSITF. Highly connected people who didn't pass through the recruitment process got appointment letters. I mean, after test, interview, documentation.

In a private firm in Lagos, after passing through tests and series of interviews, the final was with the CEO. He asked; who is your father in the society? Who is your mother in the society? I lost it because I was the son of a nobody.

The country is irredeemable!

This is how it will continue even in the next generation. The former will continue to corrupt the latter.....and it goes like that! Even Obi can NEVER salvage it.

It is a pity!

That advice from Op is the best, especially for ladies at 40 and above

Yes, they can sue. They should have enough evidence. Pictures of the bad feet, receipts, the hot water bag while on her feet, etc.
If they don't have all these evidences and if perhaps they are not ready for the court stress(adjournment every now and then, payment of lawyer, etc) they should just leave it to God. The justice system of this country is totally messed up!

I pray she gets well soon and breast feed her babies. It's necessary for their well being

You're actually not getting my point and you're not realistic! I guess you just want accolades here!

I am not looking down on myself. As a matter of fact, I am a graduate with professional certifications and vast experience in my field.

In as much as there is dignity in every labour, there are still some hustle you can't boldly say openly at a certain gathering or function. There are still some hustle you can't be proud to say at a particular function and one of them is a driver!

If you lie to yourself about the stigmatisation of this hustle, then jokes on you!

This is Nigeria. We look down so much on some hustle. It is not like that abroad. People respect uber drivers abroad. Nigerians treat drivers like piece of sh1t. I once sat with a friend who brought his lecturer friend along. She's a female lecturer at unilag. We talked for long. She introduced herself and when she asked what I do, I told her I'm an uber driver......she went; oops...sorry, I shouldn't have asked! I said why? She said; never mind! Then I went as far as telling her my degree, prof qualification, experience and the MNC's I had worked with. I am explaining this because there are calibres of people you would sit with, you won't be able to say you're doing uber cos they will look down on you. It might even spoil things or deter opportunities you might get. I'd rather tell you my field(not uber) and then crown it with; "I'm inbetween jobs at the moment"

This life sef! You will be sitting with well-to-do men and gisting and making a lot of sense. They will be nodding head well and responding well when you're talking, but when they eventually throw the question: "so Mr A, what do you do for a living"? You will feel so ashamed to say, you're an uber driver!
Even when you say you're into transport business, they will still want to go down into it!

Yes, the Rayan lady eventually told me after much chats. If I hadn't chatted, they would have collected that money, just like that. This is bad for their platform. They are stealing from drivers. When I use to use uber and bolt, I don't think they ever cheated me of commission! I just left them because of their high Commission

Glit, I can't be too dull not to know negative na!

I had some money in the refund column and when they refunded, I saw positive 800 this morning before working. I even wanted to pay before working, but when I saw the 800, I didn't bother.

Before When a rider cancels after you have established phone contact or gotten to pick up, they will add the charged commission to the REFUND tab but now they just charge you and expect that you let it go.
This is thievery! It is "stealing by trick"
You should never charge for such. I didn't even move an inch. I was trying to call before they(riders) cancelled(2 requests). So why should I be charged?
I've been seeing funny charges like this but I just ignore. This time, I was too sure of it and I was disappointed with the RayaM lady(Rayan by name) that attended to me when I reported the issue. It was like she was high or something! At first she was saying jargons and I tried so well to explain the scenario bit by bit. It is sickening mhen!

So indrive charges commission when a rider cancels! This is nonsense.
I had positive 800 balance this morning, before work. Worked for a while, made #7700.....the commission entered negative #1500. I never cancelled any accepted request. Rider cancelled.

With 7700, I should have a balance of positive #30. I have negative #1500

All what you said is right, but from what I’ve learnt from that telegram group, there is more to these special techniques boss, even if you know it all, it might just be 1 single info that will change our ways of earning more
So with what you've learnt, are you now making 60k with 12k fuel?
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 9:02pm On Jul 02, 2023
This thread sef!

Person come talk him experience, dem counter am!

There are Nigerians who "japad" long ago and still hasn't made something tangible. There are still some who went not quite long and are doing well. My cousin stayed for long(years) before getting his green card. Meanwhile, a friend's younger brother got there and got it not quite long!

For this hustle, some make 60k using 12k fuel. Some make 40k using the same fuel. Some make 35k. Trust me, there are still some who make far less!

For the brother complaining, maybe you should join the telegram group to learn the techniques and see if the hustle will improve for you. If it doesn't still, find another hustle.

For me, I don't see any kind of special technique to this.....positioning well isn't a thing now cos you will get order anywhere U are. I still got order recently from ICM in the morning, weekday. It is also common sense that you don't do long distance to PU. It is also common sense that you work from morning till night. (I don't even work till night before the fuel increase, and I'll still make 15 to 20k net) it is also common sense that you avoid traffic as much as you can, by checking your map! Who likes traffic anyways? So what exactly are the special techniques?

Whether you argue it or not, the hustle isn't much favourable since the increase of fuel price!

As I dey always talk, I'm not ready for insults or much arguments.

To cap it all, having a career and a well paying job with full benefits is still far better than driving upandan! I can bet with my last card, that a lot of graduate here never envisaged they would become a driver!
