1 idiot UNILAG boy bn wan run me street! I picked him and his friend(tomboy) yesterday at UNILAG sport centre to Lekki phase 1(4k trip) but we bargained 5k cos they begged me to go to chemist bus stop first, so they could pick something. When I got to their destination, they tried to transfer from access but it didn't go through. The guy begged me to give him my acct that he would do it in the night. Woke up this morning and didn't see any alert. Called him around 7am and he said he's still sleeping. Called him again around 9am and he said he would do it and I asked why he didn't do it at midnight, he said he slept off. Got a trip to chevron, so I called him again on my way and he didn't pick. Later he started rejecting my calls. He later switched it off. When I got to chevron, I called and he rejected it again. In fact, I called almost 5 times(at intervals) and he rejected.
I got a trip to Lekki. Dropped rider and drove to the estate. Apparently, you can't enter without a code, so I explained my situation to the chief security and he opted to help me. Told me to take him to the house. In fact, he said the guys in that apartment are known for such and it would give the estate a bad name. When we got there we spoke to the security and he asked if I have a pix and I showed him his pix on WhatsApp. He went to inform them and the idiot said he's coming. We waited for 30 mins plus, no show. The chief security guy that took me there now asked him(apartment security) who manages the apartment. The guy said Emma. He called the Emma and explained to him and he also said this was the 3rd time it's happening. The Emma said he would call them. After waiting for 45mins, the Emma called back and told the chief security to tell me to call the guy again. I called him on speaker, he picked and disrespectfully said; "oga, check your acct, I don send am, no disturb me again o"
I checked and I saw the alert.

The security of the apartment started asking me for settlement, told him to give me his acct, he said he doesn't have, that I should give him cash. Told him I don't have. He collected my number and said he would call me later. When the chief security entered my car for me to drop him at the gate, I told him to give me his acct. This guy said I shouldn't bother. That how much is the money sef. He said I burnt fuel to come here, so I shouldn't worry. That I shouldn't even give that security guy anything. I Thanked him so well and left. Though I planned on going back to give him something.

The security at the apartment revealed to us that the idiot boy is a yahoo boy in UNILAG. That he pays 120k per day for the apartment and he has been there since Feb 1st. He would be there till month end. He even said when he went to his apartment, that he saw him from the window, he was naked on the bed with 3 naked girls. One on his d1ck, the other on his face, the last was just beside.

I can't remember the estate name, but the name of the street inside the estate is Ganiyu bola Hassan close.

Guys pls beware of that place. You can google to know the name of the estate. They said they've been doing it to drivers. Infact the chief security said the last guy before me forfeited his money and laid curses on them!

If you're driving the person's car and just for a day, 10k is fair but you can ask for more but if he bids down to 10k, do it...

Since it's not your car, so you're going home with 10k net.
10k is small bro. Btw 20 to 25k, to n fro

What's the secret chief?
Nothing special bro. I don't increase price. I bid the same price the rider quotes, if it's reasonable. What's reasonable to me, might not be to you. Like if app shows 5k for e-hailing, rider quotes 4k or 4500, I accept(like the screenshot below. E-hailing app showed 5k plus and she quoted 4500 and the distance was 4 mins to PU)

I cancel when bids are up to 10 and above. I don't bid when distance to PU is more than 10 mins. Infact I try as much as possible to bid 5 mins distance to PU.

I left home around 10:30am today and I worked only on Rida. Made 20k. Closed around 7

What I meant is after commission using all the apps.

Where do you want to see trips on Rida alone that will fetch you that amount in a day
I worked only on Rida on Wednesday and made 22500.

I allowed her put all her belongings inside boot and back seat, whereas, I already cancelled her ride while she was doing that with one girl helping her.
When she was done, she begged make I give am 2 mins say she wanted to take her room key, I no talk. She spent another 10mins, as she came out to enter car say she don ready, I asked her to pack all her loads out, that I have another order waiting for me.
She and her helper were surprised. I just dey look both of them.
Dem pack all those things out and I just shut my boot and door, they didn't expect such attitude, from their faces, you would clearly read it.
I just zoomed off go position for Abule Ijesha road.

With Rida, I still net 20k+ after commission. It's easier to secure orders on Rida than on Indriver. Indriver drivers don't even check where the rider is going before clicking accept.
Rida dey collect commission from you?

2ndly, Rida and Indrive are almost same. None is better than the other. On Rida, 30 drivers will be bidding for a request....you will even see ridiculous prices. On Indrive, riders can't reduce price below a certain level. You need to be extra fast(with a fast phone/network) to take a request.

I waited for over 1 hour today looking for a request on both Apps, I didn't eventually get, I decided to go eat and relax till 4pm.

Drivers are so much now on all e-hailing apps and riders are very few.

Drivers are desperate now!

Everywhere just dey somehow

Like the screenshot below where the ehailing price is 4600, rider put 4600, a driver reduced the price to 4400 in the name of competition.
4400 is even better. Some will go as low as 3800, 3600....because of competition. So annoying. When I start seeing bids like that, I just cancel.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 4:29pm On Feb 01, 2023
∆∆ Na Rida drivers worse pass. Request will show 4500 e-hailing price. Passenger will put 3500. You will see drivers bidding 2800, 2900. I'll be like, so these ones don't buy fuel @ 185 or they don't queue for almost a day? The hustle don cast. Terrible prices on all Apps....or maybe it's not the season yet

A lady doesn't want a cab driver, for obvious reasons that he may not be able take care of her,
How is that a crime? Sentiments aside..
And how much I earn isn't part of this discussion so be more articulate next time
Yes it is her choice, but to think or say that he won't be able to take care of her cos he's an uber driver is ignorance to an agogee!

Let me educate you on the earnings of an uber driver who owns his/her car.
You make about 20k per day. That's about 140,000 in a week. Then about 560,000 in a month. Half a million income a month. Meanwhile she earns 8k in a month. No radiographer earns 250k a month in Nigeria. Bank manager's salary isn't up to 500k a month.

Except for the fact that the job doesn't have prestige and the way Nigerians belittle the job, it is far better(in terms of income) than majority of the white collar jobs. I know guys who resigned from their bank jobs(where they earn 120k) to start up uber.

Majority of you ladies don't have foresight. You only see 'NOW'......The reason a lot of you don't eventually settle down.

I think Op should thank God. This kind of girl will run you down
Op, forget internet, go to your village, look for a graduate there. You would definitely find a better one for you.

Bro, pls what could have gone wrong?

My cousin's old mom was denied a B1/B2 non-immigrant visa yesterday. The guy is based in USA. He has a green card. He's been there for over 13 years. The mom is about 80 years. I took her there yesterday for her interview, but they turned me back and said she will be the only one to go in.

Later she came out with the international passport and a blue paper. I asked what happened and she said the white guy asked what does she do in Nigeria. She said she's a widow and she doesn't do anything (don't know if they expect an 80 year old woman to be working)

They asked how long her son has been there, and she said over 13 years.

They finally asked what she was going to USA to do, and she said she wants to go visit her son(for visit)

They told her she wasn't qualified.
