There are Nigerians who "japad" long ago and still hasn't made something tangible. There are still some who went not quite long and are doing well. My cousin stayed for long(years) before getting his green card. Meanwhile, a friend's younger brother got there and got it not quite long!

For this hustle, some make 60k using 12k fuel. Some make 40k using the same fuel. Some make 35k. Trust me, there are still some who make far less!

For the brother complaining, maybe you should join the telegram group to learn the techniques and see if the hustle will improve for you. If it doesn't still, find another hustle.

For me, I don't see any kind of special technique to this.....positioning well isn't a thing now cos you will get order anywhere U are. I still got order recently from ICM in the morning, weekday. It is also common sense that you don't do long distance to PU. It is also common sense that you work from morning till night. (I don't even work till night before the fuel increase, and I'll still make 15 to 20k net) it is also common sense that you avoid traffic as much as you can, by checking your map! Who likes traffic anyways? So what exactly are the special techniques?

Whether you argue it or not, the hustle isn't much favourable since the increase of fuel price!

As I dey always talk, I'm not ready for insults or much arguments.

To cap it all, having a career and a well paying job with full benefits is still far better than driving upandan! I can bet with my last card, that a lot of graduate here never envisaged they would become a driver!

Boss healthy argument nor bad… sholly go confirm in those days. Take ride to vi in the morning and sleep there. It is necessary to drive to lekki to get trip. My ignorance days, I’ll take trip to Maryland or ikeja, trust me, I’ll sleep there for hours, some days 4 hours. Including Ikorodu. Our normal routine then was to get to lekki and go position at Enyo Ikate, any trip from chev or phase 1 is ours. It’s now you can stay anywhere to get trip. I was at lekki on Saturday, I saw everything. Give price if you have the mind too. That experience avoid island yesterday. Island can make one have boring weekend at times. You’ll be having good day on the Island, a drive to island will be a big blunder.

Bro I remember those days wella! Early mormor, drivers go carry passengers for bus stops for #200 per head, just to get to lekki and start hustle. Moreover, there are times you even drive home empty when U close. U go wait taya, U no go see trip towards home. The fuel wey U use no pass 2k?

Even if I drive a Kia Picanto or Toyota Starlet, I can never drive 17mins to a pickup of normal fare, except it's long trip on surge or 10k from Lekki to yaba, where I know my cost has been covered already. Imagine doing this just 4times a day, with Toyota Muscle, how ur fuel no go finish before u make good money? 17mins is a trip of 2k on its own.

I am not someone who likes to argue much, but let me clear you on the above. Once in a while when you stay tooo long at a point due to fastest fingers or shortage of orders, you tend to pick "anyhow" so you can leave that point. It isn't what you do daily or often. I had stayed at that point for more than 1 hour. I couldn't take it anymore. I angrily took it, so as to leave that point. After dropping the rider, other rides started coming normal with short PU time. This is far different from the crux though. You said you used 24k to make 120k. This is what we question. I think U should make your points and explanations based on the main issue, not beating about the bush, and raising issues not related.

Before the fuel hike, 5k worth of fuel will gross you 25k
But now, with the little increment in fare, can 5k worth of fuel now still gross you 25k?


Remember 5k now is 10litres and 5k before was 27litres....

Pls, I have my reasons for asking this and I want pilots to confirm by filling there car 5k worth of fuel and see if it will gross 25k...

If 12k fuel fetches me 35k
5k fuel will fetch me ??X
(35 X 5)/12 = 14k

5k should fetch me about 14k now

I use civic not corolla. 24k fill my tank. I did something today and notice 15k could not fill 30L gallon. Maybe oando berger has tampered with their meter. Full tank doesn't give me more than 80k. Somethings it not like that self.

They tampered with the metre.

So 12k(half tank) will fetch you 40k. You should have a net of about 24k. This is what is obtainable.

2ndly, I guess you use corolla. You should know how much you make with your full tank, if you work well(hard)

For me, I use Camry and 12k(half tank) will fetch me 35k. Nobody fit call dog monkey for me! I don't believe everything here.

My tire actually cost #7500 205/60/R16. One just have to find a way to adapt, fuel price is not going down anytime soon. You either accept the reality or change hustle.

this new rida app is nonsense, you won't even see the trip but you will receive notification of trip cancelled, all the trips there are 1500 or 2000. To log out na war. I entered indrive fear catch me, drivers no dey even allow trip land before them accept the ridiculous price. 2000 from ikoyi to ogudu? at 488 per litre? gilthronix how una dey do am ?

It is the "nonsense price picking" fastest finger drivers that infiltrated Rida. Though at times Rida gives me very good rides.

I don't see it in that light. Drivers are their problem. Bolt has increase price to some worth. Riders do compare before booking, but drivers will still pick nonsense on Indrive. I just got to old Yaba road from VI. Drivers were picking 3500, 3700 at peak period. Remind me of Bolt days before the birth of Indrive. By this time V. island will be on full tomatoes. Drivers will be rushing from Lekki to partake in the glory

Those guys picking nonsense are island guys who want to quick go back to island. They are really spoiling work for some of us. I came out 9:30am and was hoping to go to the Island. I was in my car from that time till 11:30am, I just decided to go eat. They do fastest fingers and they pick nonsense. They've also infiltrated Rida. Imagine an hour trip to island for 3k! Not like I don't know how to pick very fast, but I can't be calling you and explaining the need to increase price, or begging for increment or to renegotiate.

create an opay account and use the virtual card option. Input virtual card details on indrive. Only send money to the account when you need to pay indrive

Who else has been finding it hard to pay commission on Indrive via transfer? Since on Saturday. Reported to their support, but they are not useful. They want drivers to register their cards on their platform. No be me! I'd rather continue with Rida than register my card!

Dropped this guy at banana Island from around Maryland, and up till date that number has been switched off. He actually did the transfer in my presence, but I never got the alert. This was during the time banks had issues with their network....the naira scarcity time.

I just taya for some riders. I didn't propose price though, I accepted her price. I don't know why they would order 2 rides at the same time! They just make U waste fuel, time and energy. She even had the mind to call the other driver "tout"
Some of them don't even know that some of us(drivers) are masters degree holders and also married.

About 2 nights ago, I was already on the mainland looking for a trip to meet my target. This girl ordered from Mcneil Rd. Got there and immediately saw another guy parked behind me. I called her and she said she was coming out. She called me after some minutes and said she would be going with someone else, who's cheaper. It was 2k trip. She said the other guy was 1500. I just went to the other guy, explained to him and begged him to cancel. He cancelled and we both drove off.

These girls don't even care at all. Even when you call before going, they would still cancel when you get there. One of the disadvantages of this hustle in Nigeria. I don't think it's like that in USA or Canada. There should be penalty for unnecessary cancellations. Why would you tell me to come and then you cancel when I get there....after about 10 mins driving, that's pure wickedness!

Some fares used to be very cheap even in the former Rida App. Just ignore the cheap ones. I took a lady from osapa to MM2 for 7600 on Rida. About an hour ride. On our way, she got a call from another driver.....apparently she ordered 2. So she asked which App is mine, I said Rida. She shouted "Nooo Na" I asked what happened, she said she was supposed to follow the other driver on bolt, that it was cheaper...btw 4 to 5k. She said she didn't check before entering. I just ignored her and continued.

The problem with the new Rida App is that they restrict the fare bid for drivers.
Secondly, the new app doesn't show time to pick up. It only shows km or m.
