Pearl1910: Queues where they sell normal price is usually long. But if it's moving u will buy within 2-4hours. Half day is too much. Cos they don't sell in gallon so those unruly people, area boys and touts will not be there. Alright bro. Thanks. If I spend 4 hours(7-11) waiting to buy fuel, morning hustle don almost finish be that. I'll go n wait sha. Meanwhile, bolt commission is still too high. No 2 ways about it. They are expecting me to pay them 11k, on top how much?

YeyeGbami: Bro i filled my tank today @ mobil on airport RD.170/L. You fit try check maybe tomorrow or monday, that 250 na something else.
Either mobil or conoil. Na real something else! Mobil on HM no dey sell. Conoil at Alagomeji sef no sell. I'll have to be patient with the queue and crowd at NNPC |

Pearl1910: As a Yaba based, u have alot of options. The NNPC on Murtala Mohammed have been selling normal price. Conoil by Adekunle also sells Intermittently. Total, Herbert Macaulay normal price.
Has Bolt blocked you? U can still recover ur money back with the bonus or d surge trips. I still have my bolt account but I don't use it because of their high commission. Conoil at Alagomeji hasn't been selling for about 3/4 days now.....that's where I usually buy. The long queue and crowd at NNPC MM is really discouraging....same with NNPC HM, but I guess I'll just have to dedicate half a day for it. |

411Cars: However, any indrive driver seeing this such make sure that during this scarcity and during festivity they should always select the highest price on the option. We do deserve some form of compensation. Selecting highest price means you might not get a rider. They won't accept and the desperate drivers will accept their price |

Well, let me assume all the drivers on this thread have ported to Indrive, but I will remind u all when u complain about anything Bolt. For me, I think the major issue is the high commission. Just look at what was charged from below earnings......isn't it outrageous? Shey dem go die if dem begin charge 15% ?

dapotemi: BAD ADVICE!!! Sound good only to people who can't think tru difficulties/challenges. The young man has a job of 70k, work monday to Saturday, very stressful job, no time to do any other thing. How would he take a course when he already said there is no TIME? He has a CAR, a toyota corolla! The best material for this hussle. What ever challenges he has now is temporary, its normal in the hussle, and i believe he's blowing it out of proportion. What he need is advice on how he's going to solve this temporary challenge, and not to go back to Egypt! The best set of people to take a professional course are uber driver driving their own car... GOOD ADVICE. FYI, In the labour market, if you need to move from company A to B, you will need to still be functional in A. It is easier to move this way. Moreover, there are prof courses you can do online while you work. I'm sure there are breaks and he won't work from 6am to 11pm. I'd done a prof course before online, while working(white collar) On the other hand, no one is stopping him from joining e-hailing biz. He seeked for advice on whether to join e-hailing or continue with his job and a lot of people advised him. You don't come here and condemn other people's advice because you feel yours is the best. Just drop your own advice and move. It is that simple! |

northbird: You are talking like this because you think Lagos is like Abuja. Which companies they for Abuja? What if he gets an interview invite in a Lagos company after applying? If they eventually pick him, won't he relocate? Career can move you from state A to state B, even from country A to B. All I'm trying to tell him is to build a career. Apply to bigger companies outside Abj |

desmondDessi: I hear this, but one part of me is saying go back to your job and another part is telling me to see this through. Like I'm in the middle. One of the reason I left was having time for myself. Going back and continuing that lifestyle is somehow and for how long?
I'm beaten in a way. If they can still accept you at your workplace, pls go back and save up for the repairs of your car. Don't put yourself in loan mess! You need to change the compressor (manual) completely and also the condenser. They will give off the gas completely and refill. It may cost you btw 100 to 140k, depending on your negotiation. Compressor alone is about 55k. After fixing your car, still don't quit your job. You can do uber/bolt during weekends(sat/sun). Work on building a career. E-hailing is not a career. Gather experience from your workplace, do some prof courses relating to your career, then apply to other better companies where there's career growth. |

This talk about Indrive fares and prices shouldn't be a thing of argument or attack or name calling. It should be about sharing knowledge and ideas. Enlightenment.
No one knows it all. We learn everyday.
Thanks to northbird for sharing his knowledge.
Thanks pearl for the enlightenment, but I want to ask you, how do you(pearl) know that a fare is good or ideal for a trip on Indrive? |

Pearl1910: Oga, there are always three options, in increasing order either with same proportion or in a series like manner.
Even if u put 10k for a 1k trip it will still give three options where the last one is about 12k.
If u put 2k for 5k trip, d last option will be less than 3,500.
So those options gat nothing to do with the real or ideal fare. It's a function of the fare quoted by the Rider. So I guess what he's trying to say is that, drivers should use that guide to know a fare that has been reduced more than the ideal price. So if you put 2k for 5k trip and the highest option is 3500, and after doing the rough calculation, you get 5k....you shouldn't pick that request. It is just a guide. There are some cases that you get even higher fares than the ideal price. The major thing is; have a guide, so you don't get cheated. Though my own guide is far different. For instance, a 30 mins trip shouldn't be below 2500, but following his guide, you can do the same 30 mins for 2200. I won't do that. It has to be 2500 or above, not below. |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 2:20pm On Oct 30, 2022 |
northbird: Yes, the discuss was about knowing whether rider tampered with the fare. So I gave an estimation guide to quickly assess at a glance before accepting trip. Ok. Good |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Barbiturate(m): 12:32pm On Oct 30, 2022 |
northbird: @ Viking07. This is a typical case of fare tampering. The real fare is the 3rd option circled. So generally, long distance trips normally hovers around ₦100/km, then 1hr plus is around ₦1000. ie 45km*100- ₦4500 1hr plus 10mins- ₦1000 Total- ₦5500. So with this your explanation, the attached should be 3620......meanwhile the rider put 4000 and indriver still gave more higher option for the driver. Abi, am I missing something?
