Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Can I Handle This Particular Situation In My Place Of Work by baresi(m): 2:55pm On Sep 29, 2022
JideFine:
Greetings,

My people,I am in a state of Dilemma...

I work as a waiting staff in a Cafe and Lounge.. Something happened on 2nd of this month (september),2022.

The Real story

Some ladies came to the lounge on 2nd Day of this month (2-09-2022) and ordered for a champagne (J.C.Le Roux) and water...We sell the champagne (30,000) while the water is (500).

My oga ordered for some food through me and he later fixed his own bill before the ladies.

N/B : The ladies were on their own separate table...I didn't see them interact with my oga in any way.

So,when my oga was about to go home,he called one of my colleague and told him that I should not collect the champagne money from the ladies, that I should just collect money for the water they took....So,I did as instructed...I collected just #500 from them.

So,I rushed to him to verify if he will be the one to fix the bill,he told me "Yes" that he will fix it.

The next day was my off day,so I didn't go to work....so,two days after....after the sales for the day as he was about to enter his car (we only give him his bills whenever he is about to go home in the night)....I rushed to give him the bill together with the one he accumulated for the day,he asked why the J.C.Le Roux docket is included in the bill.....I explained everything to him and he started yelling at me that I should have collected money from those ladies that night they took the champagne.

I had to call that my colleague that was present when he told me that he will fix those ladies bill,so he came and explained things to him.....He said "Okay" but he will not fix it from his purse that I have to fix it by myself that it will teach me a lesson next time....I was speechless as so many things ran through my mind.....Why exactly will I have to fix a bill that I didn't utilize myself.

I didn't say a word that night,I later sent him a mail explaining how everything happened and the receipt of the J.C.Le Roux which have the date and time the order was placed through my account....

He replied the Mail 3 days after and the mail reads (Well received)

I waited for him to clear up the bill but the sign was not there,I walked up to him and told him about it again and he said he will look into it....fast forward to 23rd of this month,I sent him another mail and he replied "Got it"

Till date he is yet to fix the bill and it's still pending on my account as an (outstanding).

I am really confused

My people,I need una advise....I really don't know what to do again.

It's the end of the month and my salary is at stake here.

My dear, you are a dedicated worker and you took all the necessary steps to ensure things are straight. Wait until its pay day. If he attempt to hold your salary. You have all necessary documentation to exonerate yourself and make claim to your salary as well as other damages.
Stay strong !

Health / Re: Please Help, My Kid Sister Is In Pains (pics) by baresi(m): 1:14pm On Jul 30, 2022
OnGod247:
Hello guys,

My kid sis is in pains. She's 21yrs.
About a month ago, just out of nowhere, she started developing some kind of scales under her feet.. Initially, we thought it was nothing serious, and it would just go, so we kept applying Vaseline on her feet every night after pressing it with warm water...

But as time went on, it got worse and painful for her too... She cries every night.. It is almost as though she can't walk. The scales are strong and stubborn and now splitting to reveal some tiny wounds.. Guess that's why she is finding it painful..

Due to financial constraints, the few chemists i've taken her to don't seem to know the name or cause of what it is, talkmore of the cure.. It breaks me to see a grown girl go through so much pain but i'm stuck..

I'm hoping the Doctors here or anyone else with a simlar issue or experience can help proffer cure for her..

Pictures below were taken from last night...

Mods pls help...
@dominique
@Sissy3

Please, quickly take her to see a medical doctor for urgent treatment. That you should have done to save your kid sister immediately you notice the abnormalities. Early detection always save life and stop such medical situations from deteriorating
Good luck

Nigeria national assembly just started to wake up. I totally support the use of body camera for security agents across the land. In addition, proper computerization of divisional police stations. The control rooms can be located in all the various states police headquarters. Training and retraining of officers. The plenty money been stolen by government officials can be redirected to fund these projects.

Family / Re: My Younger Brother Is A Bone In Our Throat. Pls Help! by baresi(m): 7:04pm On Dec 24, 2021
First and foremost, he acted against the law i by setting the cash on fire deliberately. He can be prosecuted for that action.
Secondly, the man is feeling super entitled. Which had gotten to his head. Cut off all the privileges that's been given to him and allow him feed himself, house himself and take care of his health and daily expenses all by himself. After a few months, his brain will likely reset. That does not mean you and your family need to restore those previous privileges. Not even one.
More so, you guys need to watch your backs and involve security for your safety. But ensure that police dont make any arrest . just report him .
In addition, find one of his old friends that have some sense and communicate to him through that person.
Never forget to always pray for him and for God to reformat his brain fliud.
Good luck

Cyntie55:
Good day nairalanders. Season greetings to y'all. I'm so angry right now. Please I need mature advice.

My father is not a learned person but he make sure all his children are graduates. My younger brother(last born and only son) rounded up his Nysc few months ago, we're just 2 girls. My elder sis and I. My elder sis is a nurse in Austria (3 years now), she's married with a kid in Austria. My big sister send money home once in 3 months, and I have been the one receiving the money. I share the money exactly as instructed by my big sis. I have never cheated anyone, Infact my Dad and Big sis communicate very well. My Dad trust me so much.

My younger brother is always angry, He said he feel cheated all the time. He shouts and talks to me anyhow like I'm his mate.
Honestly speaking, I gave my younger brother more love and respect that he could ever imagine. When he was serving, he would call telling me he need 10k urgently, sometimes 20k, that he will pay back. Immediately I will send it to him and he would never pay back. Same thing he does to my father.
If we ask him what's he using his allawee for?? He would angrily say so is becus we're sending him "chicken change" that's why we're asking jamb questions.

He said we don't regard him, he called my Dad a SIMP, he said my Dad listen more to my big sis and I....but he don't listen to any of his suggestions.

My brother is a 2:1 (second class upper) graduate in economics from UNIBEN. After his Nysc all he does is to sleep and eat. My Dad's good friend told my brother to come to Lagos and resume work with him. He refused. My Dad ask him if he wants to further his education (masters or professional courses)he said no....Okay follow my Dad to his cement shop and help him (my dad even promised to pay him salary) he refused....I overheard him on a call with a friend and i suspect he's now into yahoo yahoo.

Look at what happened. My big sis sent us money yesterday to celebrate this festive period. She said I should give my brother 50k, I should take 80k and give my father the rest (abt 250k). My Dad is always aware of everything.
I even added 20k out of my money and I transferred 70k to my brother, I was left with 60k (becus she also sent me hair and I plan to sell it becus I already had enough). You can imagine this ungrateful idiot started insulting me, that I cheated him. the fool angrily withdrawn the money from his account and SET IT ON FIRE (70k). He called my elder sister and started warning her saying "if he can't receive the money henceforth, she should stop sending him money again that he's the man of the house".
My Dad gave him a resetting, resounding, hot and dirty slaps. He pulled out a knife, deflated my Dad's car tyres and ran away from the house.

Everyone is not happy. I don't want my brother to live a wayward life. He's 24 years old. Please nairalanders Help!

No matter how hard they try the people will get strength to rise up, speak and restore the nation to some good level of peace and economic stability.

No military takeover of our government . You guys should prepare to vote and work to ensure your votes count.

orlaglobal234:
Our greedy and corrupt Africa leaders, politicians are the causes that make Africa army plot the coup against democratic government.
Believe me honestly if muhammadu Buhari is not from north Nigeria army could have plot the coup against him and hijack the government, ever since when he was in London hospital . but tribalism and religioulism make northern army remain loyal to Buhari as if they don't know how to plot the coup.
Because without northern army lead the coup they never born any southern army well to try nonsense, that's what keep Buhari in power up till date if not Buhari could have become ex-president

I sincerely dont think you were an adult during the military regimes in the 1980's and 90's. In as much as some of us are strongly against M.Buhari' s failed government. Nigerians will have a chance and opportunity to boot his party out In the next election.
The junta dont give such opportunities. All dissenters are crushed with immense brutality.

Under no circumstance should any one call for a military take over of the governance of Nigeria. Those that never witness or experience the various army brutality during the military regime need to think twice.
In as much as most of us are very unpleased with state of our affairs. We have the opportunity to choose a different course in the next general elections.
The military dont give you that opportunity to change they government and all opposition are crushed with brutal and deadly force.

But in the case of Nigeria, they seems not to do they work as all they do is go after people that speak the truth and hold this present failed government to account. Both the SSS and other action agencies and all the security agencies and structure have failed woefully and the people are the ones suffering each day. Killings, kidnapping, banditry and robbery are not just daily occurrences but on hourly basis across the nation.

You see bro, if you are still sentimental or biased about any institution in this country you will not know their relevances, try to know the differences between secret agencies and action agencies and their responsibilities, mostly action agencies caused embarrassment to secret/ intelligence agency like DSS or CIA as many use to compare, had it been that action agencies like police, military and other paramilitary in any country act swiftly and diligently to intelligence provided to them by secret agencies, there won't be any form of insecurity in the country but failure on the part of action agencies mostly prompt the secret agencies in the world act on intelligence they risk their life to obtained to deny bad types in the society from carrying out their action that are inimical to the state. Try to search and research on what secret agencies in the world including DSS does. [/quote]

The rapid and frequent incidents of kidnapping, killings, banditry, robbery and high crimes across the nation is a true measurement of the SSS huge failures along with other security agencies in the land encouraged my our highly incompetent president. Hey, you got three options:
1. Go to youtube and learn how cook fast meals ( Beans, oatmeal, pap, etct) , even make soup like Egusi soup.

2. Spend alot of money going the canteen in your school

3. pay someone to cook for you and you store food in a small fridge..

well, i guess option one saves you more money and you will be proud of yourself in the near future.
