Hmmm. I still can't tie my head around a country living on handouts from US forming super power.
US had donated cash directly and indirectly up to $500 Billion yet Isreal has not grown and developed even near as much as Norway!

They don't have a good leader in Netanyahu and I just see the sense in why he lost the election and now on investigation for corruption.

Handouts in what way The US human dev index is not even as good as that of Norway to begin with. How then can America make Israel what it hasn't achieved? US financial giveaway to Israel is only MILITARILY. It is US buying influence and strengthening an ally for a potential conflict with Iran through cash and loan. All of which Israel can do without and were post her major wars in the 70s.

Israel is in the same economic and developmental league with USA and other Scandinavian countries like sweeden, Denmark etc. It's only unfortunate it is surrounded by historically proven unfortunate Neighbours which has meant it spends heavily on defense what it could have spent on other things. Not Finland, Sweeden or any other countries can survive what Israel has survived and still remain a developed country.

Do you think it is ordinary for a country to have thousands of rockets flying across into a country and big intl corporations still stay? Let Russia fire 100 rockets across Norway that falls into sea, everyone in that country would start fleeing.
Israel is fighting and still developing economy at the same time. My hats to the Israelis. I remove my Fila in salutation.

Isreal has the second highest concentration of high valued startups in the world second only to US. It is home to the research and dev hq of most high tech brands like HP, Intel etc.
Jews holds the highest number of Nobel prizes held by any ethnic population.

It has over a thousand ultra high networth individuals which pack $744 billion in combined wealth within a population of just 8 million people packed within a country the size of Oyo state. Coming only second to UAE ($825 Billion) and far ahead of Saudi ($482 Billion) and Turkey ($422 B) and Iran ($266B).

Without no oil, it has now surpassed the UAE this year for the second highest Gdp per capita in the Middle East ($43000) surpassing Saudi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman etc. Outside Mid east, it surpasses United Kingdom, New Zealand, Japan, Italy and would soon topple Canada.

Israel has a 4.2% unemployment rate compared to US with 6%. It has annual inflation of 0.3% compared with USA of 1.7%. This are economic data published by world Bank.

Israel from 1948 - 2021 fought her wars SINGLEHANDEDLY. It has beating a coalition of Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi, Sudan, Syria on numerous occasion without any US boot on ground for support. Some of its replenishment during war came from as far as chezk Republic not USA.
Infact, the US draws Israel back. At least in 1973 unprovoked war against Israel, they had opportunity to capture Cairo and Damascus, save for the US which started screaming for ceasefire.

During the war of attrition, Egypt brought the USSR's ground troops and airforce numbering 20000 to fight Israel's Sinai presence because ussr hated Israel for being US ally. Israel dealt with USSR (Second Most Powerful Country In The World) on air superiority destroying several airplanes and killing their pilots till they ran away. During that time Israel did not at one time invite US. Even if it did, US would not come.

The $4 Billion US gives to Israel in military aid is not unique. It equally gives Egypt ($3B) and Pakistan ($2). For Israel, the money helps America's ally with significant advantage over Iran an adversary of USA.

Till date, US has given almost $500 Billion to Isreal in cash, aid military hardware etc which is 5 times more than US gave Europe after the second world war.
Unlike Europe, especially Western Germany, that used the aid to develop themselves and became a powerful economic bloc today, Isreal has remained mediocre and still can't survive without US hand out. Imagine $4 Billion being dashed to 9m people yet this week alone, we had to get request for a loan of around $3Billion for 200m people yet a state like Lagos is far ahead of Isreal in some developmental parameters like Employment .
You must be a joker or something comparing Lagos where half the youth population are either Okada riders, bus conductors to Israel with a 43,000 usd / capita gdp.
Lmao.

Unemployment in Israel is 4.2%. Israel and has a 0.3% inflation rate.
I don't know what nonsense economic data you are referring to that makes you compare Israel with Lagos.

After 11 days of using American tax payers money and arms to kill children in Gaza?

Netanyahu is gone. He didn't try at all. Thank God for the leaders with conscience who prevailed on him and US to stop the killings.

8 deaths in Isreal and 237 deaths in Palestine shocked
What are you blaming Netanyahu for?
You think everyone is like buhari that would allow threat and killings against his citizens.
If you people had shown this kind of concern for Syria nearly 1 million people wouldn't be in their Graves.

A country that has been chased out of their land and still come back stronger. A country which average citizen is war ready. A country who has the best assassins in the world. A country that trains a part of the US military. Southern Lebanon harken to my voice , Israel no get Joy at all. Them ready fight the whole Arab nations one time and them go still defeat them. Israel does not mind the matter escalating. The Israelis have already accepted the reality of proactively warring as the only way to survive in that place.

Go back to 1967 war, Egypt, Jordan and Syria were gathering to attack Israel unprovoked with a way larger army.

Most nations would quickly form defensive positions and start begging USA and soviets to intervene against the gangup.

Not Israel, at night they invaded Egypt unexpectedly and destroyed the whole Egyptian airforce in a few hours.

Israeli field General, Ariel Sharon seized the entire Syrian Golan heights and never asked the Israeli govt for permission.

So let it escalate.

It seems Lebanon has forgotten how Israel nearly bombed out all their civilian infrastructure in 2006.

Thing that made me laugh is that despite all the rockets fired from Lebanon fell into Lebanon, Israel still fire at them for even thinking of it in the first place grin

Foreign Affairs / Israel Attacks Southern Lebanon In Retaliation To Rocket Attack by barojana: 6:43am On May 18, 2021
Six rockets were fired from Lebanon toward Israel late Monday, but they apparently fell short of the border fence. The military said it responded with artillery fire.

The rockets triggered warning sirens in some communities near the border. The army later ordered communities within four kilometers (2.5 miles) of the northern border to open bomb shelters.

There were no injuries reported.

A Lebanese military source confirmed to AFP that several Grad-type rockets had been fired from the Shebaa Farms area in southern Lebanon toward Israel.

The United Nations peacekeeping force along the border, UNIFIL, said early Tuesday that the border was now calm.

“UNIFIL detected firing of rockets from the general area of Rashaya Al Foukhar north of Kfar Chouba in S. Lebanon,” UNIFIL tweeted, noting that the Israel Defense Forces returned artillery fire toward location from which the rockets originated.

It was the third time rockets have been fired from Israel’s northern neighbors in recent days, as intense fighting between Israel and Gazan terrorists continued for an eighth day, amid protests across the Arab world against Israel’s actions there and in Jerusalem.

Three missiles were fired at Israel from Syria on Friday evening, hours after the Lebanese Hezbollah terror group said one of its members was killed by Israeli fire during a protest on the border.

One rocket fell inside Syria and the other two landed in open areas of the Golan Heights, the military said.

On Thursday, Israeli forces fired tank shells as a warning to a group of protesters who broke through the border fence with Lebanon near Metulla, sabotaging the barrier and setting fires, the military said.

Lebanon said one person was killed and Hezbollah later said 21-year-old Mohammad Tahan was a member of the Shiite terror group.

Lebanese President Michel Aoun strongly condemned “the crime committed by Israeli forces” when they opened fire at the group.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the rocket fire or confirmation of a link between the events. However, Hezbollah and other Iran-supported militias have attacked Israel from Syrian territory in the past.

On Thursday, three rockets were fired from Lebanon at Israel, all of which landed in the sea. A spokesperson for Hezbollah told Lebanon’s L’Orient Today news outlet that the terror organization was not behind the attack.

Israel has a waged a nearly decade-long bombing campaign in Syria aimed at thwarting Iran and allied militias, including Hezbollah, from setting up bases to attack the Jewish state from or transferring advanced arms.

Agencies contributed to this report.

To think that a country that's not as big as just a single Northern state in Nigeria has stayed undefeated for almost 75 years shows they have a solid backing.
Both physically and spiritually
Israel is just the same size of Oyo state.

In the six days war, it took on nations that when combined are about four times bigger than Nigeria with far greater number of military personnel.

I came to respect Israel during the Yom Kippur war of the 1970s when a few Israeli battalions by general Ariel Sharon and others battled egypt and slaughtered Egyptian soldiers mercilessly.

The Israeli chased down Egyptian forces from a distance at least comparable to Ibadan to Lagos. When the Egyptians got to suez canal. The part connecting Sinai and Egypt.

Israeli soldiers rather than end the assault at that point brought prefabricated bridges, laid it across the canal and all three brigades crossed into Egyptian national soil with no reinforcements. Egypt sent several counter forces and three Israeli brigades where beating them blue black and where about to launch for Cairo, the capital of Egypt.

Truth is Israel fights like Boko Haram. With complete reckless abandon. They fight every offence like it is the last...

The iron dome has a weakness as exposed by the constant fire of the terrorist Hamas shooting over 1500 rockets at it. It has 94 success rate which means when attacked by a more advanced country/countries with larger rockets, it will only fail.

And don't forget Israel will need a 30k per one rocket to intercept enemies rockets. That's not good enough for me as I expect something better from a country that is surrounded on all side by enemies.

.

What you don't understand is that Israel tolerates the rockets by not going full scale on Gaza.
Gaza can't withstand a full scale war because the rockets from Hamas are fired from schools and residential buildings..
The international community counts Israel as somehow responsible for whatever happens in Gaza.

If a separate nation like Lebanon or Jordan fires rockets into Israel, it would be full scale war. Israel would respond with surface to surface cruise missiles like Tomahawk which would blast the entire radius where those rockets are coming from meaning the iron dome wouldnt be overwhelmed.

In this case, if Jordan or Lebanon uses human shields, then it would be them who have legal liability at the ICC for their population's civilian death.

Isreal is a country with a nuclear arsenal of same size of those of France and China.

Even if you gang up and win Israel then it would fire 200 nukes as parting gift to the Arab world.

Btw Lebanon is looking for trouble. Nobody is going to pity Lebanon when Israel fighter jets carpet bombs the sh*t out of Beirut.

Isreal is not a christian nation that would be preaching peace o. They have Moses and David kind of thinking. The entire israel population can handle armor tank.

This is one of the animals listening to the nonsense being spread by ipob pigs on social media. So a Christian will now tell Muslims how they should practise their religion?

Once the moon is sighted by any of the moon sighting committees across the country, the message is conveyed to the sultan and he announces accordingly for the purpose of uniformity. If you, Sunday Igboho (a Christian) like, you are free to celebrate any day you want, that is entirely your foolish business. The sultanate never forced anyone to comply with its directive.

Bauchi celebrated their Sallah yesterday, did you hear any noise? The choice is entirely yours but Muslims who know what it means to be obedient to leaders will comply with the announcement of sultan.

Funny how fools who spend all their useless days insulting Islam as a religion will now tell you how Islam should be practised.

You see someone like igboho who's clearly a traditionalist and call him Christian. Are you well?

Where have you seen Christians wear the sort of sango armory he wears?
Or are you blind to the way he insult Christian leaders?

Only three countries know how to deal with Islam, those countries are China, Israel and Myanmar.

I find it funny that in the 7th century the Israelis where forcefully kicked out of the East Jerusalem and the Middle East as a battered people.
The Muslims built the Al-Aqsa mosque and called it their 3rd holiest site.

The Muslim quran is evidence of the unhinged bigotry and undeserved hatred against Jews and Christians.

In 1967, the Arabs fought an ill advised war against Israel and lost while Israel took back east Jerusalem.

How dare the Arabs call Israel an occupying force? Are "Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem" Arabic words?
If the Palestinians claim they have historical right to Jerusalem pre 1967, well so does Israel have historical claim from the pre 7th century.
