limcar: have you seen katherine langford? She was in the first knives out. She's the sister of josephine langford of After. I would do anything to date her
OhBritannia: The ring of power episode 8 final episode is 1 million / 10 for me.
Now this is what you call shutting the mouth of your haters up forever and ever, this season finally is one of the best season finale I've ever ever since the season finally of the 100.
Now i told you all before that this season is 1 is just watering the surface, the real show starts from season 2, one thing i respect about Amazon and their stories is that they take their time, they never rushed things, they make sure you understands every bit of it slowly and slowly.
The ring of power is like you are in a classroom and a lecturer is teaching, you have to be patient so as to fully understand all he is teaching.
The word play. The visuals. The VFX The songs All are a solid 10/10
And whoever said Galadriel is bland meds to be flogged 100 strokes of whips.
Galadriel totally played, killed and bodied her role, it's as if she was born for the role. The way she talks, her facial expressions, the way she moved, the way she stands, her composure, the blond hair, Galadriel was born for the role and i rate her 100/100.
All the characters totally killed their roles, from the dwarfs to the helfoots to the Elves to the humans, each and everyone of them totally played their roles so well.
This episode finally is just so majestically beautiful. I counted more than 8 parables in this final only, every words and sentences each characters spoke are almost parables and riddles. I was so impressed with their conversations.
The bravery shown by the hellfond in helping the wizard, the power displayed in that scene alone is top notch.
The queen and the commander of Numero, with their emotional moments, indeed every greatness has a price to pay.
Now it's obvious the commander of numero's daughter will one day be the queen of Numero, now i am wondering what will happen to the present queen.
Words can't explain how majestic this series finally is.
Budget well spent and was worth it 100%.
That scene where Hallbrand and Galadriel was in the middle of the sea, that scene, the visuals and VFX there was mouth watering, Kudos to Amazon, they are Good.
This series has emotions. It has adventure. It has friendship. It has actions. It has battles. If has family. It has loyalty. It has cliffhanger. It has surprises and who would have ever thought Hallbrand is sauron.
The rings of power is a solid 10/10 for me.
It cannot be compared with any other series because it is great and a Top notch series on it's own.
The fact that not a single nude scene or even a kiss scene or gayy scene was shown, the series deserves all the accolades it's getting and it even deserves more.
It takes a genius mind and an unbiased mind to see that this series Is already GOAT.
I can't wait for season 2. The sight of the three rings makes me crave for a season 2. So many stories to be told in season 2, they even haven't started yet, series is too vast.
Kudos to Amazon, money well spent.
The fact that ever since you have been commenting on rop, you haven't mentioned more than 3 characters names goes to show how uninspiring they are.
And before you say you don't remember names, this is disame way most people that comment on it talk about the characters.
I mean even Dyana that lasted barely 5 mins, everybody remember her for HOTD.
Like someone said rop is a decent series, but putting it next to HOTD is like putting Nothingham forest to Man City.
Yes you spend money, but you don't have close to my quality.
abduleez1: If Kings Landing belongs to the Blacks, them it means Viserys is dead. Just as many viewers wishes.
At this rate, the show might just be finished in two seasons. The next episode will probably see the final major time jump. It's prolly all out war from there.
It depends in where they want to stop in the story tho.
If they stop with Aegon3 as king, then it could end in s3 but if they still push forward to viserys2 return, then they could enter s4
abduleez1: True. Dragons are sentient beings and not something you can just pass of to next of kins. They get to choose their rider. And if a dragon already has a rider who isn't dead and another try to ride it, na death you dey play with. That's why a bond must be created before one can ride a dragon. Familiarity doesn't guarantee the dragon will accept you.
Aemond was a bit lucky sef, cos Vhagar was about to burn him and just backed off cos she knew he was Targaryen. I love that scene. If anyone carefully looked at that scene you'd notice how detailed and subtle the producers portrayed the dragon's personality.
Some people might have missed it but I feel Vhagar secretly wanted to kill Aemond by purposefully flying him anyhow. She was hoping he'd fall to his death. As soon as he passed she just yielded cos all those High Valyrian commands she no send am. Na just to keep am at bay.
I just wished they'd show how one of Rhaenyra's son was killed by Syrax cos he tried to ride her when Rhaenyra was away. Dude no know say dem go throway am for ground.
Those dragonseeds scenes would have been premium TV and shown the world the dragons personality. Especially that weyrey The Cannibal... Baba pursue Sheapstealer comot from one dragonseed and personally annihilate the guy.
But I'm not sure, I think those dragonseeds episode was when Corlys Velaryon needed dragons to help with the fight in the Stepstones. So if I remember correctly, it means we've passed that scenario.
No the dragonseed part is still coming, it's when the blacks were trying to get a dragon numerical advantage over the greens during the heat of the war.
That was gave them the mind to take kingslanding with daemon and caraxes when aemond and vhagar were away.
Lana1: This talk no follow. The right to claim Vhagar fell to Rhaena not Aemond.
yes she did. But she just lost her mother and had to bury her first. And there's no indication that Vhagar would have rejected her.
So you missed the part where he shoved Rhaena first? He just claimed a dragon that was not his to claim. The least he could have done was not be a díck about it
My hope for y'all that hold the view that the right to claim a dragon goes to a next of kin is that the series gets to show how sheepstealer roasts all those potential dragonseeds when they try to claim it.
Then you'll know that it's not by blood or first come that gets a dragon to choose you.
Aemond doesn't owe it to anyone to choose vhagar, he doesn't need no one's permission. He's a targaeryean for goodness sake.
And i hear people claim that he was rude after that, I want to ask you, with the way he was ambushed and the tone they used, wouldn't you respond back.
Lastly, every one of his cousins attacked him first before he retailiated.
He could have smashed any one of their heads when he picked up that stone, it was clearly a bluff.
The way many people are just bias towards the greens make people who aren't in support of any to actually gravitate towards them.
There's even a new thing that's going round saying that the greens are homophobic and racist.
JoshTheStoic: The don't just have the money, they have the army. They believe their daughter was killed because of Daemon and they also believe their son Laenor was murdered and they know it has something to do with Rhaenyra after the sudden marriage with Daemon, so they might be with the Hightower but let just see how next episode will play out.
They're grand children are already with the blacks, they have more to win siding with the blacks, so they're team rhaenyra
JoshTheStoic: Don't look through the physical. Alicient has Larys Strong (the man that fights with no sword, the man that whispers with no hum, in short he's Lord Baelish a strategist), Alicient has Vhagar (biggest and most feared Dragon) now, he has her father who is a Bishop to the Chess. The only thing she needs now is an army, Knight who will fight till death. Looking at the board game now, she is at advantage. All Rheanyra has now is 2 Dragons, Few Knight and we don't know what's in Daemon's ex wife palace they talked about, it's probably gold and riches to buy people's loyalty.
And you know that the best battles are won with no single bloodshed or casualties from soldiers and with no single raise of swords and arrows. Larys Strong has assassins that can kill Rheanyra if she want but she must win this war with no suspicion which we saw Alicient understood in her last conversation with Larys.
Technically at this point in the story, rhaenyra's camp have 3 battle ready dragons (Meleys, Caraxes, syrax). It would have been 4 but since laenor is out of the picture seasmoke is unmounted.
There's still 3 more dragons which are still growing (jace's, Luke's and Baela's) with rhaena's egg which could potentially hatch.
Aegon's camp have 3 (sunfyre, Dreamfyre, Vhagar)..... I don't know how battle-ready sunfyre is though.
We have to remember Vhagar is equal to 2 adult dragons ie meleys and syrax.
Rhaenyra's advantage is that she resides in draginstone, home to many unmounted and battle hardened dragons, so she has more at her disposal.
DontBullshitMe: I don't disagree, Infact whenever a Targaryen woman copulate outside the Targaryen-Velaryon family duo, their gene does not always survive.
But casting Aemma to look 100% a Targaryen is the error. They should have either kept up with it or not do it at all. Immediately I saw it in the first episode, I was shocked. Terrible idea.
