mysql is very simple. I just don't have its time yet. i don't know y I just don't like php maybe because am not into web devlpment.
Actually Linux pushed me to study python. I wanted something more powerful than bash programming. a language that will automate like bash and use to develop software.

so u knw java too? that language is unnecessarily verbose. not idea for small app development if u ask but is d best for enterprise large solutions

the requirements appear disjointed. from humanity degrees to web development and then to scripting and programming language and maybe someone with background in mathematical sciences. I suggests you state specifically, what the roles entail and the skill set applicants should possess

but op, what is the purpose of this thread? are u taking on all languages at the same time or what? at some point, u should know that data type differ fr one language to another plus their implementation. my main point, what are we going to be getting from this thread? i want t learn lol but I want to learn tool that will b useful for me. good work OP

learn python the hard way by zed shaw is the best book for beginners in python.... Python is a very good scripting language i bet you will love it

lol that book is so funny and at the same time informative and powerful and very simple. but the introductory part to OOP kinda sucks. I had to read another book to have a foot on OOP b4 returning to Zed book. but I'd recommend it for anyone. one funny part says:
1. if anyone ask u to use vim as editor. Tell him No.

No much python gui RAD for Linux, but Qt Designer has a Linux version for PyQt/PySide.

As for assignment, develop on what we learned here to create/add more widgets (buttons), and menu to the app as seen on attached image. You can complete this within 48hrs

Attached are the python files containing codes generated through the tutorial. That is:-
1) eval.py = the console version of the Expression Evaluator
2) frame.py = our first frame/window in wxpython
3) gui.py = the GUI code
4) setup.py = the code that creates .exe file

Thank you OP. You did well. I just followed the thread but unable to read thru since I started following. kind of busy lol. I work on Linux: ubuntu and fedora and I am learning python to compliment skills I have in Bash programming. I don't use windows for anything, sorry. There seem to be no GUI app for Linux that can do this drag and drop method of gui coding as you did it above. Are you aware of any? Could you please give me some assignment to work on? Kind of live project to test my level of skills in python. Plz don't bother to ask about my skill level ok. Just give me something to work and I will try to submit it back to you within a time frame specified by you. Don't worry about my own schedule too lol. You don't have to do this but I will appreciate it, as I hope to learn under you. Thank you bro.

Wanted to reply immediately but couldn't because am still questioning my moral right to do so.

In your write up, is the answer to your questions, studying the bible and praying. Just keep doing this two things and you will get your answer.

Some month ago that i was serious with this two things, i see the impart in my dream life despite still battling with the things of this world. I have dreamt of bishop oyedepo visiting me not once and servant Vic, even someone that look like my mfm pastor and was made to understand that God sometime do take up the image of one pastor or a righteous brethren to pass a message across. But if you ask me that's not what i was expecting or how i want it to be, but the message were talking directly about my situation. It was through one of this dreams that i know that i still have an issue with lust of the flesh, it was through one of this dreams that somehow came to understand that the anointing of grace upon oyedepo is not something to be taken lightly ( I attend mfm after brief spell attending winners ) and was giving a demonstration, it was through one of this dreams that i came to realise the important of saying the word into your life, your situations confessing positively with faith.

So i will advice that as am advising myself now to go back to studying the bible and get more serious with my prayer life, my prayer is that God have mercy on us, hear our plea and give us the grace to totally overcome our weakness in Jesus name.

So bro just keep going and i believe very soon you will get what you want but if it takes time coming don't give up, why? Because the holyghost maybe at work, trying to prepare you to get what you desire for. Once had a conversation with servant vic after narrating a dream that got me scared to him and he said; the holy spirit is trying to purge my body of all impurity, to make it clean.

Like I said we are very similar in the area of experience. I love my bible bro I do. I won't say I am very faithful to reading it everyday; Nope Am not. But I have found answers to many things in this crazy world that have otherwise remain elusive to science and intellectuals. That book aint ordinary. I don't know if you grab what am saying. So I won't stop reading even if God remain silence. But I crave for his presence, his touch and his voice. I haven't seen all this in my life. He is being protecting me, keeping me in sound health for 23 years now without stepping into hospital for any kind of medical treatment Praise HIS name! But I want to see him and feel him. Just the way the Israelite felt him in the wilderness. This is really hard but I just try to not think about it atimes.

Servant Vic is a wonderful man of God. A true servant of God! I can't say that of many MOG. I don't even have a church am attending for now and I don't enjoy such discussion anyway and I will keep it that way. May his ministry of deliverance wax stronger and stronger in Jesus name. May he never stumble. May his kids and wife never stumble. May God keep them all in his peace and love.

There is time for everybody. We are all different from one another and we all must travel different paths to reach the same destination. It is good to have wealth and riches. It is good for business to flourish and to ride good cars round the countrysides. After all, all these belong to our father and by inheritance, it all belong to us. But I perceive that it is all better to have God and not concentrate all day praying over riches and success in business. Its kind of mocking God or taking him for granted and Bible says: God cannot be mocked, for whatever a man sow, the same he shall reap. That sowing and reaping include things we ask for in prayers before God, for our works must be tested by fire. Cars and riches and business and money and earthly glory shall all be consumed by that fire. Even tho we have all these things, they come to us freely but without heavenly reward for their proceeds shall be consumed by fire.

I am still searching for God. Even tho I need good job, money and good wife (that is a fearful part lol), something keep telling me that "you will have them but it is not what you need most" I agree with that voice because earthly things belong to God first but now belong to devil and devil use it to hurl people to hell. But the truth is, I still never found God. Kind of elusive. I read bible and I get inspirations at times, not all times. I pray (not always these days) and I have had time to deal with demons in dreams and often at nights. In fact as I woke up this morning, I saw two whose shapes I don't have description for, hoping along the way with me. Terrible beings. They tried to give me something to eat like meat. Something that look like a body part of a being that look like tortoise with a widest mouth but then I threw it back to its mouth. This happen after I had a chat with Barrister Akeredolu of APC (one of their chieftains) in that dream.

But in all my failures, dreams, visions, efforts, prayers, fasting, It appeared God remains elusive. I won't deceive myself about this: I haven't found him yet. I have only heard about him and read about him in bible. Everything I know about God came from those two sources. I have yet to experience him personally. I desire to experience through supernatural means and not by wealth or some riches because those things fade away with time and they don't keep you in God's love. We will always have physical needs, and when those needs take forever to be met, doubts set in. . Make no mistake about it: I don't detest riches or wealth. who wouldn't want them? I want them too but I want God more but he hasn't been talking but maybe he has in some ways I don't understand. I tried to stop sinning like @enm described (his story is very similar to mine) but I have failed even in the course of prayers. It is very difficult to do spiritual things with flesh and desire is of no help in such matters.

I arrived therefore at one thing: No one can come to God except He calls him. Physical blessings are not indications of God's calling, for God gives rains to both his seeds and the seeds of Satan. Satan too has his own versions of blessing we must know that. That being is very crafty and great in wisdom and anonymity. The only personality that devil fear is God and not a single man, for he comes after every human

Where is God? How do you search him out? How do you communicate with him?

Wasn't a very tough exam really. It all went smoothly in my center at UI. The rest is committed to God's able hand.For those who got my NNPC Past Qs, you can keep them in your mail and make it available to those who might be doing the exam in the future. The exam followed the pattern except that we were forced to answer all questions without option of choosing your prefer field. Lets be hopeful. Back to work!
