You are obviously having suicidal thoughts. If that's the case, I won't encourage you not to because everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their life.

I find it ironical that a feeble minded person said that her thread isn't for the feeble mind.

Yes!, you are feeble minded; If not, you should have known that the challenges we face in life is what makes it interesting and fun. life is full of challenges but when properly managed, they could become opportunities.

And no, we don't live to die; that's not the purpose of life.
Whatever happened to our fallen heroes; Nnamdi azikiwe, awolowo, ahmadu bello, uthman dan fodio, and even your beloved Ghanaian Kwame Kyeretwie Boakye Danquah, who was arguably the greatest nationalist in Africa. Did these men live to die? No!, they properly tackled the challenges they faced, and in turn, these challenges gave them the opportunity to become heroes

We live to make a mark; to create a legacy that shall live on even when are gone.

Try to make yourself proud, and I bet you - your mentality about life will change.

#happy Sunday.

I think you quietly missed the impulse of her message. This is not necessarily from a feeble mind nursing suicidal thoughts.

I have reflected on such years ago. I didn't nurse any suicidal thoughts.

And for those great people you mentioned, their heroism and their accomplishments in the physical world are only felt by you and me. Unfortunately, that's all. Wherever they are now, they will be wishing it is not that at all or a little bit greater than that.

Ronaldo's goal was a great goal but let us be honest, many players have done similar in the past. There are definitely better goals than this in the Champions League alone.

Of course when a great man does common thing, it become uncommon. Rooney overhead kick against Man City in the middle of two city players is a way better than this. But this is Ronaldo, Almighty CR7

[quote author=Tijay90 post=65831178]1. Know somebody

This is true. Op already highlighted that in networking with right class of people

3. Be prepared to kiss ass & spread your legs(as the case may be.)
Forget you don't need that. Certainly not in IT where a minor mistake can lead to lose of millions of revenue in minutes. If you have top-notch skill, you will be employed.

BiafranBushBoy:
If you want to get a high paying job before the year runs out, then this might be the best post you would read in this year. So just sit back and read line by line.

If you are a low salary earner who is looking to increase his/her monthly pay, then this post is for you. If you don’t have a job yet and is looking forward to landing a high-paying job as the first job, then this post is also for you.

I have seen people move from a token sum of 35k monthly to above 150k within a short period of time, and I am ready to show you how to make the move.

To get a high paying job is just like blogging. There are several factors that would help you achieve that, and that is what this post would help you achieve.

If you are ready to get a high paying job, then consider the following points below;

Get a high-value skill

You don’t expect to get a high paying job when your highest skill is “Ability to work as a team and independently”- anybody can do that.

Severally I have listed out the top paying skills in Nigeria today, and ICT has always topped the list.

IT personnel earn thousands of Naira on monthly basis, doing what they love best. There are several other skills out there, but if you want a high paying skill with lots of opportunities, then you should consider a skill in Information Technology.

I have listed how you can start a career in Information Technology as a beginner, so do well to start today.

Network with High worth Individuals

It is okay for your skill to earn you thousands of Naira in monthly income; but if you intend to earn mega money, then you should consider relating to high worth clients.

These high worth individuals have the connections to get you high paying jobs. But you should have the skill and the discipline.

Of recent, a friend met a man who offered him a job in IPNX as a Developer intern. His starting salary was far above 250k, and he is just 25 years of age. It is all about your skills and networks.

Have an Achievement Portfolio

While learning and perfecting your skills, it is necessary for you to have a portfolio of things you’ve achieved already. It should be well documented, that it can be easily used a reference. The reason I focus on having Information Technology skills is that the world is gearing seriously towards ICT, and Nigeria is still a virgin field.

A report says that Nigeria spends about 2.5Billion Naira yearly importing software from abroad. This goes to show you how much manpower we are lacking in the area of Information Technology.

Package a CV that speaks Volume

When you have the skill, connections, and achievements, then your description on paper shouldn’t be found wanting. If possible you can’t design one, you should engage the services of a professional to help you achieve that.

Your CV should highlight the following;

Skills
Areas of Interest
Jobs carried out

The Information Technology field in Nigeria is still virgin, and they are looking for more brains to join this exciting field. All it takes to get a high paying job in Nigeria is to choose an IT related career and pursue it.

The returns are far more than the expenses made. It begins with you having the zeal to start up immediately. Learning an Information Technology course should no longer be expensive. That is the reason I have recommended the cheapest IT school in Nigeria. (You can visit the blog for my recommended school)

graphic is good. I think u need to focus on skill development first b4 thinking of jobs or else you will loose focus and be tossed here and there.

if u combine it with animation, u will go far but like I always say, if u love a particular job, u will spend ur entire time learning it and u will b ready to work free of charge

Nice one OP. for the newbi, please learn Linux. whichever area you want to establish urself in, Linux is the bedrock of today's IT infrastructure.

Certifications are good but please go for the skills first. It is very tough to break in but your skillset will make way for. That's what I did and my first IT job fetched me 140k per month without a single certification and that's because at the point of interview , I was able to prove that I have the skill set in my CV

Nigerians won't give room for critical thinking anymore.
Instead of us to face and tackle the present challenges facing our country we'll start voting for people who will just use and dump us. Now y'all have given the government 3 months break they didn't ask for, who will question them for the wrong steps they take during that period?

Una wey vote for Efe last year, Wetin he give Una?, no be unfollow he unfollow Una?

Let's start thinking abeg, bbnaija is a total waste of money, the money channeled into this nonsense if injected into the economy or educational sector will make a difference.

Let's put on our thinking cap please.

Webmasters / Re: How Much Can One Make From Vlogging? by Barywhyte(m): 8:40am On Jan 19, 2018
This is our problem in Nigeria. All our goals and objectives centered around money. Nothing but money. This is why we are not really excellent at what we do. Majority of youths don't have career-oriented plan. We do things not because we love them but because we believe it will yield money. Once it is not producing money, we abandon it. How then can we grow and develop? OP I challenge you to look beyond money and lay your hands on things that you love. If you love a particular job or career, you will be happy to do it even if you are not getting paid or if the pay is very small. In the course of doing that everyday and happily too,you acquire skills and expertise. It is these skills that fetch you money in both short and long run.

Love your job, be excellent at it, and people find and pay you even if you live under the rock.

Hmm..... Thanks. The Linux mint xfce is good for a beginner right? I want to use it for programming. Also, will all Ubuntu softwares and commands work perfectly on the Linux mint xfce?

of course both are good for beginners. I mean Ubuntu and mint. They both use dpkg as package manager. So software differences is not a decider. Any desktop environment is fine. xfce, Cinnamon, gnome etc.

Properties / In Need Of Acommodation At Lekki/aja/lagos Island by Barywhyte(m): 12:07pm On Oct 26, 2017
Nairalanders,

I need accommodation assistance please at Lekki/Ajah, Lagos Island or even Yaba Akoka area of Lagos. A job took me to Lekki recently and I have been shuttling between Lekki and Ogba which is killing as I have to be at the garage by 5:30 in order to meet 7:30 arrival time.

My budget is 200k per year for a bedroom mini flat or a room and a parlor apartment. I know this may sound unrealistic but this is all I can afford now. Anyone with useful information may please help me.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How To Deal With Resume Immediately Vs 1 Month Notice by Barywhyte(m): 7:47am On Oct 04, 2017
I only gave my employer one week to leave. My case is a bit different because my employment was not confirmed after the 6 months probation period. I worked for the next two years even getting promotion which I rejected. So when offer came last week, I just told them straightaway that I will leave on Tuesday. That was yesterday having helped them with replacement. Even though I'm not under any obligation to do that.

I just think this 1 month notice is skewed in favour of selfish employers who are sad when industrious employee decides to leave.

If your employment is confirmed after probation period and the one month notice clause is there, signed by you, you will have to be honourable or you beg your way out or forfeit one month salary.
