PoliticsRe: Orji Cautions Tinubu Over Remarks by bashr8: 2:03pm On Jul 19, 2012
gbadexy: Orji's statement shows that he is a tribalist without foresight.
I have no problem him and tinubu or awolowo for that matter, but his implying that awolowo's statement about banning second hand clothes (and by implication encouraging local production that would create more employment from planting to processing of cotton, wools, etc) was a wrong move shows he has no foresight and the ibo leaders who should have enlightened their people or implement it themselves put their interest above that of their people selfishly.
clap for yourselves, what have you people done in the southwest , the regions is still centuries apart, orji is a failure but tinubu have no buisness talking about failures cause he is also a failure in orjis cartegory.

Don't tell me non-Igbos have been governing SE since 1999..

anambra is not lacking in large scale industries , its is second after lagos in that aspect .

He disclosed that a recent survey by the National Bureau of Statistics revealed that the state had the highest number of small and medium scale enterprises, and was leading in four industrial sectors, including the automobile sector.

Gudiza: I'm laughing. You people don't know how the fulani think. You don't know what drives them. They pose a threat to the modernity and civility of all Nigerians. Their mentality is backward and so it would be foolish to apply to them the same general rules that apply to the rest of us. Some say they ARE Nigerians and humble. I laugh in mandarin.

They have penetrated the middle belt and have now gone south. If you all think you have seen the worst just wait till they have fully doled out their network of hell fighters around the whole country and then see if you'd have any shot at democracy.

Apart from the fact that the fulanis do not make good neighbours they really pose all kinds of threat to sustainable development and the environment. Thats why they leave deserts in their trail and press onward. At the rate these guys are going and multiplying their livestock in the next 200 years Nigeria would certainly end up like Niger.

I have seen these folks wreck havoc on farm lands, destroying crops all over Nasarawa and Abuja and the natives dare not open their mouths or else!.....put up a fence and they'll tear it down cos to them 'bush affair' is 'dog eat dog'. It is like an insult to prevent their cows from getting any nutrition they feel is right for them. no matter what. Not to even talk of when they start claiming ancestral land.

They simply need to be stopped. A buffer should be created across southern Nigeria to retain green reserves and also efforts should be made at restoring the lush plains/vegetation of Adamawa and other parts of the North that have largely vanished.

Southern Governments needs to be really serious and open their eyes to the threats posed by the nomads or else we could just be on our way back to the stone age..all because of nama.

Underestimate these folks at your own peril.
plus more of their people are geting into politics and military coupled with islam, the worse is yet to come.

honeric01: The fact that they sell lands to other tribes mean they are not afraid to mingle, we should stop all these hate preaching we are spreading.

The examples you're giving sucks bro because land and weapon can't be equated, those sellings weapons to mob, drug lords e.t.c can afford to do that not because they love or hate them, but because it can be re-produced/re-created.

Can you re-create land or reproduce land? you won't sell a land to anyone you hate or don't want to mix with no matter the amount. people who hate eachother don't marry their children to the other party not to talk of living with them.

Do you know that in Lagos, SOME Yoruba/igbo landlords don't rent houses to some tribes? would these landlords dare sell lands to these tribes they "hate"?

So bro my question is still valid and you trying to answer them failed woefully.
this slowpoke again

One_Naira: You do realize using your past post, it is easy for anyone on NL to predict where you are from without actually analyzing. You are fulani, not Igala. 95% of all your past post are all about fulani's and your attention seeking to Igbo with us not paying mind to you. Plus, all Igala's on NL paid homage to their dear departed attah. You, supposedly Igala, did not do so. Lastly, Igala's reside in Anambra and the ones in anambra claim ancestry with that of Nri of Anambra. You should try and research a community you are claiming and you should also try and pretend you care alittle about that community (pay a little respect to their leader and wish him goodbye), it might help with your claiming. Just saying.
dont mind the idiot fulani, he does not know that some igalas are from anambra

PoliticsLagos State Sends Five Scavengers To Jail by bashr8(op): 7:17pm On Jul 17, 2012
According to PM News, the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) dragged five scavengers to a Lagos court for allegedly entering a refuse dump site at Igando, Lagos, illegally. They were remanded in prison after the arraignment.

The men are: Sunday Oyedele, 33, Waisu Ayeni, 23, Akinwumi Akintoye, 38, Fadeyi Sampson, 35, and Mathew Igene, 45.

plus eko ile

The defendants told a PM news reporter that they had been scavenging at the site for some time before the new LAWMA workers came and started demanding money from them to enable them to enter the site.
They claimed that their inability to part with undisclosed amount of money daily caused their predicament, an allegation the workers declined to make any comment.

P. M.NEWS confronted some of the workers at the court on the issue of demanding money from them. One of the LAWMA workers identified as Nurudeen told our reporter they would not comment, saying he was not authorized to speak on the matter.

P. M.NEWS gathered that the LAWMA workers contacted the police at Igando division who swoop on the scavengers at the site and arrested the suspects, while others escaped.

They were arraigned in the court on a four count charge of illegal entry, obstruction of LAWMA and conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace by illegally assembling at the site. The police claimed that the offence they committed was contrary to sections 44, 52, 117 and 338 of the Criminal Code Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011. They pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr O. A. Komolafe granted them bail in the sum of N50, 000 each with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned till 13 August 2012 while the defendants were remanded in custody pending when they meet their bail condition.

Meanwhile, the residents of the defendants under a group stormed the court singing solidarity song, condemning the action of LAWMA. They said the victims resorted to scavenging because of the economic situation in the country, yet LAWMA went ahead to worsen their plight.

m so pissed at these Akwa ibom people. They are everywhere in CRS and won't allow us enjoy what is legitimately ours. Now the SC has ceded our 76 oil wells to you, would that satisfy you? Hell NO! Come and see thousands of them in CRS civil service, Unical, Cab operators etc. They even compete with CRS for students' bursary of CRS.

They have practically taken over CRS, no thanks to the snail-like governor Imoke who would not borrow a leaf from T.A. Orji of Abia state and put these people where they belong.

They come to Lagos and claim Calabar people ...Gosh. Meanwhile they are all from Akwa Ibom which is not the same as Calabar.

God help CRS from these parasites ...

I made the above post after the SC ceded our 76 oil wells to these imbecilic creatures.

patriot2: How was the british empire to justify that it had just been beaten by a black nation without risking rebellion in places like india ? the only solution was to lie and pretend, but ask historians, they will tell you the truth. It was a full scale war and they lost.
do you know the meaning of a full scale war? na english you dey speak ,go back to your history book .
PoliticsRe: The Fulani Will Not Leave - Beginning Of The End? by bashr8: 4:37pm On Jul 16, 2012
patriot2: I read the history books in a library in London and I saw documentaries. The Bini defeated the british in 1895, and then the british took two years to prepare a military expedition and came back in 1897 and won the war. get educated, or at least seek from books which were not written by some igbo story teller. See you slave.
how ,you can lie man
eight unknowing British representatives, who came to visit Benin were killed. As a result a Punitive Expedition was launched in 1897. The British force, under the command of Admiral Sir Harry Rawson, razed and burned the city, destroying much of the country's treasured art and dispersing nearly all that remained.

Chyz*:
Wow! The most ignorant and dumb post I've read on this thread today. Benin "empire" fought no british but the Benin "kingdom" tried and got sack in about a week or so. We Igbo, and it is well documented put up the highest resistance towards the british than any other group in nigeria. Go read. My people alone, Anioma people(Western Igbos), fought the british for over 30 good long years! Benin, gini? Come on my friend go sit down.
no mind am even though he is not from edo like he claimed.

i guess he knows nothing about nigerian history

. The British penetration of Nigeria met with various forms of resistance throughout the country. In the south, the British had to fight many wars, in particular the wars against the Ijebu (a Yoruba group) in 1892, the Aro of Eastern Igboland in 1901-1902, and from 1883–1914, the Anioma of Western Igboland

are you from planet earth at all ? i wonder if you read at all,so in your mind other southern and middle belt groups were trade except bini people? stupity is free so i no blame you.

PoliticsRe: The Fulani Will Not Leave - Beginning Of The End? by bashr8: 4:06pm On Jul 16, 2012
patriot2: Hopeless slave the british said it in all their documents: The Oba of Benin gave the strongest resistance to the british invaders. So helpless igbo cannibalistic slaves who we used to trade with the portuguese keep your mouth shot. And one other thing: Edo was already civilised before the british invasion and was an empire therefore the fact that a lot of ethnicities are in it is not a mystery. The Bini are the rulers of Edo empire. The Oba of Benin is the ruler of the entire Edo. he doesn't need to be an Isian to also be their ruler just as Obama doesn't need to be white to rule over white americans.
argue like achild , this thing dey really pain you. benin never invaded no had the power to invade igboland therefore you cannot have slaves from where you didnt fight a war ,common sense should tell you that. as for atlantic slavery benin and yoruba people where traded in badagary while igbo, ijaw and efik ibibio people where traded in bonny so i dont even get what point your trying to make.
PoliticsRe: The Fulani Will Not Leave - Beginning Of The End? by bashr8: 3:42pm On Jul 16, 2012
patriot2: what I hate with you is your lack of modesty and your unilateral discussion. You are not even Edo, yet you claim you know better about Edo than an Edo. You seem to have predicted the future for everybody in Edostate. You keep insulting the only empire which really fought the british (tell me what fight the igbos put against the british ? ) You coward bunch of cannibals were rushing to their churches in order to convert and therefore avoid being killed. Mumus ! you are not better than the haussas who chose to bow down to fulani. I.diots, you have no glory, you filthy slave recipients, you are born to be our slaves and slaves in general: in edo igbo which is the name we gave to you means slave; So go to hell. you are beneath me!!!!!!
the greates resistance the british met in nigeria were from igbos, google ekumeku war and anglo/aro war. i dont have to be from edo to know its ethnic composition just like delta ,rivers, benue, information is free you can confirm it yourself. secondly there is no pratices of cannibalism in igboland but we have had live reported cases in yorubaland. second talking about slavery hausas/fulanis actually enslaved yorubas and that is the only case of slavery by nigerian on nigerians we have till date, thirdly the name igbo existed before benin empire ,several ancient igbo towns bear it like igbo-ukwu( which was part of the oldest empire in nigeria nri dating back almost 5000bc before anything like benin existed), igbo-eze ,igbo-ariam etc and benin have no infleunce on igbos rather churches are done in igbo language in some parts of benin and edo in general, fourthly igbos are also part of edo state occupying igbanke local government. i dont know why you choose the route of ignorance. lastly ijaws have already decided where their land starts and ends and parts of edo fall into it so i didnt make it up , you can google ijawland .information is free.
