Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 87, Number 130:

Allah's Apostle used to visit Um Haram bint Milhan she was the wife of 'Ubada bin As-Samit. One day the Prophet visited her and she provided him with food and started looking for lice in his head.

Abu Dawood Book 19, Number 3074:

She was picking lice from the head of the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) while the wife of Uthman ibn Affan and the immigrant women were with him.

Mrs AbuBakr: Yesterday I went to throw garbage in the Budaah well; he was jumping up and down and enjoying himself in the filthy stinky water. I asked him what he was doing in the dirty water. He said this water is clean. I said how that water can be clean with so many dead dogs, rags of menstrual blood and garbage in it. He said nothing makes water dirty. He then drank some water, performed wudu and left to lead Maghreb prayer. No wonder he stinks so bad.

Abu Dawood ,Book 1, Number 0066:

Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri:

The people asked the Messenger of Allah (peace_be_upon_him): Can we perform ablution out of the well of Buda'ah, which is a well into which menstrual clothes, dead dogs and stinking things were thrown? He replied: Water is pure and is not defiled by anything.

Abu Dawood,Book 1, Number 0067:

Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri:

I heard that the people asked the Prophet of Allah (peace_be_upon_him): Water is brought for you from the well of Buda'ah. It is a well in which dead dogs, menstrual clothes and excrement of people are thrown. The Messenger of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) replied: Verily water is pure and is not defiled by anything.

Tafsir Qurtubi, chapter vol 13, page 51

Prophet drank dirty water from Budaah well and performed wudu with it.

Traditionally the collection of the jizya occurs at a ceremony that is designed to emphasize the subordinate status of the non-Muslim, where the subject is often struck in a humiliating fashion. M.A. Khan recounts that some Islamic clerics encouraged tax collectors to spit into the mouths of Hindu dhimmis during the process. He also quotes the popular Sufi teacher, Shaykh Ahmad Sirhindi:

"The honor of Islam lies in insulting the unbelief and the unbelievers (kafirs). One who respects kafirs dishonors Muslims... The real purpose of levying the Jizya on them is to humiliate them... [and] they remain terrified and trembling." Islamic Jihad



British preacher, Anjem Choudary, points out that "the normal situation is for [Muslims] to take money from the kuffar" (at the time, he was encouraging believers in the UK to quit working and live on public benefits). The Qur'an also affirms that the collection of jizya is is the ideal relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims. The verse mandating this (9:5) occurs much later than the verse stating that there is "no compulsion in religion" (2:256), meaning that it takes precedence and abrogates the earlier verse. This is why Islamic purists such as Hamas and the Taliban wish to reinstate the jizya. One of the first orders of the self-declared caliphate formed by the ISIL in 2014 was to imposed the jizya by force on Christians who refused to embrace Islam.



An Egyptian cleric on al-Hafaz TV said in 2013 that American foreign aid to that country was a form of jizya "owed" to them. He believed that Muslims should demand more money from the Americans so that, in his words, "we can leave them alone." Only when the jizya is paid will America "be allowed to to recognize its own interests, the ones we agree to."

In the name of God, the Merciful and
Compassionate. This is a letter to the servant of
God Umar [ibn al-Khattab], Commander of the
Faithful, from the Christians of such-and-such a
city. When you came against us, we asked you
for safe-conduct (aman) for ourselves, our
descendants, our property, and the people of our
community, and we undertook the following
obligations toward you:
We shall not build, in our cities or in their
neighborhood, new monasteries, Churches,
convents, or monks' cells, nor shall we repair, by
day or by night, such of them as fall in ruins or
are situated in the quarters of the Muslims.
We shall keep our gates wide open for passersby
and travelers. We shall give board and lodging to
all Muslims who pass our way for three days.
We shall not give shelter in our churches or in
our dwellings to any spy, nor bide him from the
Muslims.
We shall not teach the Qur'an to our children.
We shall not manifest our religion publicly nor
convert anyone to it. We shall not prevent any of
our kin from entering Islam if they wish it.
We shall show respect toward the Muslims, and
we shall rise from our seats when they wish to
sit.
We shall not seek to resemble the Muslims by
imitating any of their garments, the qalansuwa,
the turban, footwear, or the parting of the hair.
We shall not speak as they do, nor shall we
adopt their kunyas.
We shall not mount on saddles, nor shall we gird
swords nor bear any kind of arms nor carry them
on our- persons.
We shall not engrave Arabic inscriptions on our
seals.
We shall not sell fermented drinks.
We shall clip the fronts of our heads.
We shall always dress in the same way wherever
we may be, and we shall bind the zunar round
our waists
We shall not display our crosses or our books in
the roads or markets of the Muslims. We shall
use only clappers in our churches very softly. We
shall not raise our voices when following our
dead. We shall not show lights on any of the
roads of the Muslims or in their markets. We
shall not bury our dead near the Muslims.
We shall not take slaves who have beenallotted
to Muslims.
We shall not build houses overtopping the houses
of the Muslims.
(When I brought the letter to Umar, may God be
pleased with him, he added, "We shall not strike
a Muslim."
We accept these conditions for ourselves and for
the people of our community, and in return we
receive safe-conduct.
If we in any way violate these undertakings for
which we ourselves stand surety, we forfeit our
covenant [dhimma], and we become liable to the
penalties for contumacy and sedition.

who is kafr and what did quran say about religion I know quite right that quran States that there is no compulsion in religion q2:256 and also quran say everyone with his own religion. but the decrepancy in Islam has turned Christians to kafr even when without jew and Christian there cannot be Islam because many books of jew and Christian were incorporated into quran. Read quran and ask yourself questions about what you read .

ogbeni, if I were you I would be shamed. This thread it's not really about Christians but I do welcome your contributions. My point is you should be concerned about your scripture because it's mandated therein that penalty for adultery is stoning to death. So if you think you can make fun here you are definitely kidding. Your law stands. Base on my studies of this subject, I maintained that previous laws revealed to prophets Moses and that which Jesus also confirmed are abrogated by Quran. which means if you insist Christianity is the way, you must accept law and punishments established in your holy book. There is nothing in the bible to suggest that Jesus abrogated old laws. My point is I'm proud that Muslims somehow believe "stoning" is mandated in Islam and they are ready to implement it. We are ready to enforce what you Christians shamelessly abandoned. So don't cry foul if a Christian is caught in the act in Muslim and penalty of rajm- stoning is pronounced on the fellow. so I say we enforced your law not ours and am proud of it.

This is indicated by the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) about the man who stole a garment from the war booty, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “By the One in Whose hand is my soul, the garment that he took from the booty on the day of Khaybar when it had not yet been shared out is burning him with fire.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (4234) and Muslim (115).
