Lol, what is wrong with these people, you claim to love Nigeria just to spite Igbos, later you converge in your backyard to wail over what nigeria is doing to you. Meanwhile, i love the way they spoke for Ijaws alone, instead of the very ambiguous term "Niger Delta".

BusinessLagosians Groan As Price Of Cooking Gas Hits N4,500 by basilo102(op): 9:57pm On Jan 05, 2017
There is wide spread condemnation of the recent increase in price of cooking gas in Lagos.

The price of cooking gas has risen by about 30 per cent in Lagos and other parts of the country.

A 12.5kg cylinder, which previously sold for N3, 500, now goes for N4, 500 in most parts of the metropolis.

Some domestic gas users said that they were irked by the sudden price increase which they said was arbitrary and thoughtless.

A resident in Surulere, Mrs Rebecca Aleshinloye, complained that gas sellers annually exploit users by increasing price of the product during festive periods.

She said, “I filled my cylinder with gas at N3, 500 in December, but surprisingly I was told the price has been changed to N4, 500.

“In annoyance, I went to a gas plant inside a filling station, thinking that it would be cheaper, but was told they me to buy at N5, 000.

“I had no choice, but to go back to the first gas plant to fill my cylinder. This practice of gas sellers is highly unfair to users considering the economic situation in the country.

“I appeal to the relevant regulatory agencies to halt this practice by monitoring and checking the excesses of the sellers.”

A resident of Abule Egba, Mrs Jennifer Eluko, said that cooking gas price rose on December 24 at most of the sale points in the area.

She said, “I usually filled two cylinders ahead of the festive period because I know that sellers would sometimes create artificial scarcity and inflate the price.”

A retailer at Ikorodu, Mr. Ben Nwabueze, said that the price increase was a local problem which would phase out as more plants restock the product.

He said, “Yearly, because of the heavy cooking that takes place during Christmas period, there is usually high demand for gas.

“We try to ration it and sometimes increase price a little because we cannot restock till after the break when loading starts at the depo“More so, it will still take some days before the product circulates, thereby forcing reduction in the price.”

I see no reason why you guys have to insult her. Why not verify before lashing out at her. The most important thing is that the bridge is a death trap and it is highly dangerous, regardless of where it is.

With that being stated, I think you should work on the emboldened. I understand that it is a mistake, though. However, I'd also recommend you carefully string your words before sending anyone to school. The letters in red? Oh well...

I think the lady is right after all.
the bridge is good enough, the lady is jobless, it is just a footpath leading to nowhere

there is a remote village called Asaba in Enugu state (the pronuciation pattern is different form the delta state capital) This very remote village is a on the boundary with Kogi state. Now this bridge is not bad, just Ok, considering the bridge leads to nowhere but farmlands. I dont know how a narrow footpath in an unknown boundary community became an issue

This thread confirm it. https://www.nairaland.com/3541861/recession-nigerians-dying-poverty-massob It did not make front page when i posted it. Nigerians love living in denial. Just pay attention to the parts in bold.

December 27, 2016 Anthony Ubong – Calabar Latest News

MOVEMENT for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Cross River State chapter has decried the high cost of living in the country, saying it has inflicted untold hardship on the people with many of them dying from hunger and starvation.

MASSOB who stated this in Calabar on Tuesday in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Comrade Okon Eyo Effiom, said due to the current economic hardship most Nigerians can no longer afford to buy basic food items and medical bills, a situation he said has led to the loss of lives.

The statement added that, ‘’with the state of things, there are clear indications that the Nigerian state cannot no longer take care of its people which accounts for the failed system which has led to the high cost of living.

‘Even at Christmas, a period characterized by celebration and merriment, many people could not afford to cook rice meal for their families which is the basic staple during such time because of high level of poverty in the land”.

“’The standard of living in the country has depreciated abysmally in just one year where the cost of basic items have quadrupled taking them beyond the reach of the ordinary person, and making them to easily succumb to diseases and death while some are unable to bear the situation which has resulted to them taking their own lives.

“Between last year, (2015) and this year, the cost of living has risen over 500 per cent which is way beyond the ordinary citizen which accounts for the high death rate through disease and suicide amongst our people”.

‘’The state of affairs in the country gives credence to MASSOB’s struggle for secession through peaceful means to leave the Nigerian state and build a nation of their own based on the vision of Ralph Uwazurike.

“56 years after the Nigerian civil war, injustice is still being perpetrated against the people of Biafra especially the minorities as seen with the devastation of Odi in Rivers State the handing over of Bakassi to Cameroon by the Nigerian government. We hereby call on President Mohammadu Buhari to let the people of Biafra go so that we can decide our fate and build our nation not continue to languish in this unholy state called Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Power Sector Loses N534b In 356 Days by basilo102: 1:08pm On Jan 02, 2017
Emekamex:
For the power sector to be revamped:
1. The grid system should be dismantled.
2. Power generating companies should be allowed to send power to where ever or whom ever there deem fit.
3. Doing this will bring in more investors into the power sector as it will be profitable than before.
4. Government should hands off and stop interfering in the decisions of power sector players.

Anything short of this will lead to more failure.
Nigeria will never allow this, useless country, this backward country keep dragging everybody backward and the lazy ones are OK with it
