EducationRe: No Going Back On New LASU Tuition Fee – Fashola by basking4me: 9:28pm On Nov 27, 2011
Men of Nairaland. This is unthinkable, absurd and totally incoherent. He that wears the shoes know where it pinches and what goes around comes around. Where am I goin to cough out 260k for my wife to have an education while on a salary of 50k.

Gentlemen and ladies, every folk for himself, this is utterly unfair. Why didn't these guys talk about the school fees b4 jamb and postjamb, my woman could easily have attended a private university and graduated by now but all the while I was keeping her away to prevent mysf from payin this kind of moeny lasu is asking.

I am not taking this, we need to rally up nw. Fashola is only a custodian, not him to dedicate to us.

I call on all human rights activists, interntional communities and PDP as the opposition to stand up to this clarion call.

Gentlemen and ladies of the blog, I want to thank everyone for their pieces and chunks of advice. We will act accordingly. We have recently procured some acres of land in ogun state for the same business and WIP.

We have procured the best breed of broilers in the country, reason we strongly believe they should be ready for xmas sale. We have also gotten special feed rations to ensure growth is achieved. For the layers, it is normal for us to be expectant as its a longer term investment that has gulped millions. So the earlier they start laying the beta for us oo.

When the broilers are 4weeks I will post them here.

Again for the cages, we are currently talking to our suppliers abroad to ship them in. God on our side, roi will be good.

Infact if you need cages, I will sell to you both used and new ones. With these, I hope I have been able to allay your fears for our farm.

I am back again and with good news.

latest update is that my chickens are 13weeks and in less than a month, we should have our 1st crate of eggs. I am however delaying it to ensure they are very well ready to start laying the golden eggs.

We have started putting crates together to accommodate the eggs. buyers for the eggs cant wait for the chickens to start laying. In-fact one of my customers has offered to pay in advance.

My only challenge remains the feeding. This chickens are really eating the thing and that brings me the the decision of starting a feed-mill to both feed them and also sell to the public.

I hope I will get your patronages when our branded Feeds hit the market. I will keep you posted when the names come out from CAC.

Lets keep this post alive!.

I really cant wait to start posting pictures of EGGS instead of HENS grin

We are strongly working on increasing the population of these birds. Long term investors are invited to partake in our project.

To see appreciable returns on Investment, the least we can do would be the 5000birds I earlier mentioned.

We are currently trying to acquire some acres of land to expand our project.

But what without funding, how do we grow, ?. 5000 birds will cost us in excess of 4Million naira.

Thanks Everyone for your continued support.!.

Hindsight, pl come around and update us on the going on at your farm too,

Update: set1 of our birds will be 10weeks (half way journey to getting them to start laying) this Thursday while the younger ones (set2) will also be 5weeks (quarter way to start laying too).

We have moved them to a bigger pen on saturday and they seem to be enjoying their new environment. I have taken pictures of both sets to update the blog.

In the mean time, debeaking commences from this week as battle for survival peaks on.

Happy viewing:

Hello Guys,

I am back.

Thanks for the criticisms and advice and also for contributing to the blog. I love dogs too but the are predators to my birds. Shadow (my German Shepard) has so far eaten like 3 grown up turkeys from my farm.

If not for the love I have for him, I would have long shot him.

Daytime,  he is cool but night time is when he perpetrates this acts, So I lock him up at night.

Gentlemen and Ladies in the house, we are expanding. We are now contemplating 5000layers and I am sure the time will come when we will do 5Million birds per quarter.

The next set of 500 will be landing next week God's willing. The current stock is doing good and eating fine too. They also regularly receive their drug dosages.

The carpenter renovating the bigger pen has bought the wire-mesh and other materials needed.

Once the construction job is completed today or latest tomorrow, we will fumigate and give it a few days and then move the older birds to the new facility.

PoliticsRe: Gej Launches Database To Trace Vehicles by basking4me: 12:12pm On Sep 10, 2011
An old saying goes this way, 'if you climb the shoulders of a wise-man, you will see further than him'. What we need most importantly is to have a record of all Nigerians.

A unifying format for identity, there are Nigerians that will never buy cars all through their lives. So the best place to start should be from birth and records.

An SSN- social security number should be assigned to every Nigerian, this will be attached to all other records we have, like driver's license, bank details, voters card, and what ever other identity.

I am really perturbed at the state of things in this country, The NPC and even the federal office of statistics FOS have failed in this quest, those commissions should be reorganized to run a complete and effective national database of all Nigerians liaising with security agencies, mostly civil related like the police and immigrations to secure our borders and identify Aliens from citizens.

Infact without knowing ourselves and having our own records, there is no way any meaningful development can occur in this country.

Even in the bible, the kings of the past numbered their people to make economic decisions.

I believe their is an identity management commission, pl do this a complete database of all Nigerians, not just Nigerians with cars or

SP, what type of chicks are these at 12wks, cos they look like broilers to me. And at that age they should be ready to serve on d table.

Pl reply.

I hope you can see the broilers I mentioned earlier there, we have so far lost about 1dozen and still trying very hard to curb their losses. We have about 490 left as we got extras.

The broilers are already having more weight than the layers, cos those guys eat like gluttons!

Anyway we will be buying Oba-Marshal Broilers for December sales. Will keep you posted on that.
